[ As Rei always does in moments like these, she reaches out to hold onto his hands, squeezing them tightly. Her own crying hasn't stopped, but she has collected herself enough to at least do this and speak through the hiccups and sniffles. ]

Mm, I understand. I was once afraid of that too.

[ Toki seemed so much more experienced than her. He knew how to flirt, be in a relationship, and take charge, while she hardly knew anything. She was always so concerned about living up to some unknown high expectations on what a good wife should be because she was afraid that he would be unsatisfied with her and leave. That fear was only amplified by the fact that she was dead and that Toki didn't know. These fears started from the moment that they got married, resulting in her quickly feeling insecure when Toki briefly forgot about her and only remembered Joylene, but they were quickly subsided after their visit to the shrine. Despite the entire awfulness of that dungeon, it let her realize that he'd always love her, regardless of anything and although her fear might be slightly different from Toki's, stemming from him leaving rather than the world breaking them up, she can understand where he's coming from. ]

I think... sometimes, you can't get rid of your fears, maybe not completely, but you can make them quiet. Whenever I was afraid, I would remember you and how you always stayed with me and that would make me feel better.

[ Despite that she put him through her terrible dungeon, that she's dead, that she killed him, and countless other things, he never left her alone and that helps her settle whatever fears might randomly pop up in the middle of the night. ]

... I'll never leave you. I promise.

[ She can't promise that something in this world won't happen that would cause her to leave, whether it's a forceful return to their own worlds or fate decides to mock her and make her fall ill again. If it's up to her, though, she'll always stay. ]
