Terry is incredibly fond of Rei, his little sister figure, and living together like a happy family under the same roof was something he could only think about... and not something he thought could happen in reality. He's never had a family, so he wouldn't know what it's like whether it be the good or bad side. So he's pretty excited about the entire prospect. One good thing that came out of Terry being overly attached to Rei is that he finally has some sense of responsibility for another person, gradually pulling himself away from the "every man for himself" mindset.
