There is a lab at the hospital, but they'll turn her away for bringing shady lake water into the hospital, laughs. But they'll suggest she try asking at the high school, since the science club there has rudimentary lab equipment. The members there will ask RO what sorts of things she's trying to learn about the lake water, so they have an idea of what tests to run.
