→ 10/3 Rain, rain, go away

As summer draws to a close and the season turns to autumn, the forest gradually starts to warm into golds and reds, starting from the mountains and working inwards towards the town. The first few drops of rain bring with them relief from the heat that had taken hold of the summer months, and the intermittent showers turn into constant downpours by the weekend. For the rest of the month, the rain is unrelenting, the sky cast in heavy grey clouds that refuse to part for the sun for even the briefest of moments, leaving October a month of constant darkness both night and day.

Without an ocean to drain into, the rainwater instead runs down the streets and drags dirt and debris from the forest along with it, ultimately collecting in the lake at the center of town and turning it muddy grey. The children have fun splashing in the puddles, until the worms and snails come crawling out and then there's more terrified shrieking than shouts of laughter, but it's kind of nice sitting by a window with a cup of hot tea while listening to the sound of pattering rain/screaming children outside. Only, the rain doesn't stop, worrying the townspeople enough that they start to talk about preparations for flooding. There really is no higher ground to move to, unless people want to trek all the way up to the mountains, so efforts are instead focused on keeping the water level controlled. Everybody is encouraged to pitch in filling and setting sandbags to build dams around the buildings to keep the water out, to donate non-perishable food and other emergency supplies to make sure there's enough to distribute to those who need them, and to take in what stray cats they're able to care for so that none of them are put in danger of the rushing water outside.

For the duration of the month, both the inn and the school are allowing people to stay in the second floor of the inn and the second story classrooms, free of charge. It's hard to say whether the ghosts in the inn are happy about all the extra company, with the wailing in between the walls getting louder as the month progresses, and some people say they hear giggling at times, which stops the moment they get closer. At the school, there are the Seven School Mysteries to contend with instead. They're all the typical things: the painting of the school founder whose eyes follow you around as you walk down the entrance hall, the bust in the art room that cries blood and stains the stone red, an anatomical model from the science lab that suddenly comes to life and chases people out of the room, the piano in the music room that plays by itself when nobody is in the room, a ghost haunting the bathrooms that locks all the doors when you really have to go, a goat man roaming the halls who chases and knocks anybody out cold if they aren't in a classroom between 4:00-4:05 PM, and ghostly hands that grab your wrists and ankles if you try to enter the gymnasium after sundown.

All these things are real. School's haunted.

→ 10/11-10/12 Paantu Festival

As the lake fills up, more water starts to slosh out of it than what drains in, contaminating the drinking water, causing the townspeople to fall ill, and sapping all the light and the heat from the days. It's never rained this hard and this long before, people are saying. The gods must be angry. Something must have happened or somebody must have done something to curse the town, and now everybody is suffering the consequences of it.

While some people sit around and hope for the best, others decide to take matters in their own hands and revive a forgotten tradition in an effort to save the town: the Paantu Festival. For these two days, several dozen Paantu are seen roaming the streets, humanoid forms covered in branches and leaves stuck onto their bodies with thick, sticky mud, wearing wooden masks over their faces and carrying walking sticks as they chase after anybody still wandering outside. The Paantu scoop mud off the ground and smear them on people's houses, the shops and the school and even the hospital doesn't get spared. It's difficult to get anywhere in town without being ambushed and having a handful of mud thrown at your face, especially with how wet and slippery the streets have become.

As the Paantu are meant to spread good luck and scare away evil spirits, it's ill advised to attack the creatures, although some little kids inadvertently do as they kick and scream and try to get away, and doing so causes a day of bad luck to befall the attacker. When unmasked, some of the Paantu are revealed to be villagers playing the roles, but other times, the Paantu transforms into a cackling demon that jumps out and tries to grab onto your body. These demons cannot be destroyed, but if you're able to remove them, either by force or by persuasion, they'll leave behind a gold coin as thanks for playing with them. Unfortunately, the townspeople aren't able to see the demon Paantu, so if mud hits them on the back of the head and you're the only one standing there, they can only blame one person and that person is you. Better run, punk.

Parents jokingly tell their kids that the Paantu will take them away if they misbehave, but as the last of the Paantu are caught and unmasked, it's found that some people have disappeared in the chaos, old and young alike. Even in the days after the festival, the mud gets washed away, but missing posters go up— including those for the owners of the occult shop so many of you rely on for income, and the shop is temporarily closed. So much for driving out bad luck.

→ 10/13-10/27 No, seriously, please go away

If anything, things just seem to get worse after the festival. With the lake saturated and nowhere else for the water to go, the town starts to flood, two feet by mid-month, with the water level rising exponentially higher until the town is drowning in eight feet of water by the end of the month, rendering all those sandbags useless. Although the water is largely still now instead of rushing towards the center of town, it's still mixed with the toxins from the lake and those who fall in or try to swim in it will eventually become ill, suffering chills and a fever and pressure in their chest that makes it difficult to breathe. Souji and Minato will be glad to have you over for tea any time to get rid of that poison, but unfortunately the tea doesn't help those who aren't Persona users. In order to make a tea that will help the townspeople, you'll have to help the Attendants gather the ingredients for it and fill their request.

On the 14th, the power goes out everywhere except the hospital, which has emergency generators, but those won't last forever either. In the following days, thunder roars in the distance, and lightning begins to flash across the sky, providing the only light now that both the sun and the moon are hidden above the clouds. By some miracle, the lightning never hits the town and electrocutes everybody in it, but it does hit the mountains from time to time, breaking the rock and causing avalanches to fall and smother the forest. At times, little pebbles of hail fall from the sky, and other times, it's frogs and fish that plop down into the water despite there being no ocean in Hirajiro.

Throughout the month, rain continues to fall even during Lockdown. The moon still cannot be seen, but in the area around the lake, faint blue light glows underwater to guide people towards the dungeon, and no Shadows leave this dungeon or the school dungeon to swim through town. For those taking shelter in the school, it still transforms into the previous dungeon during Lockdown, spitting people out onto a random floor and separating those who were together when midnight strikes. In these two dungeons, characters may find some reprieve from the rain, but none of the floors have a sun or a moon to provide light, and it becomes very humid. Yeah. You thought the fourth floor of the lake dungeon was hell already, but now it's 122°F/50°C with 100% humidity.

→ MOD NOTES

⬥ We're doing great, guys. In order to fight the lake dungeon boss, 2 more coin threads must be completed and submitted by 10/14.
⬥ To determine the outcome of the boss battle, a minimum of 10 threads across the entire player base from September's dungeon post is required, with a maximum of 2 threads turned in per player, containing at least 5 comments for each character. These threads may not overlap with coin threads but may be threads started in September or October. The deadline for defeating the boss is 10/31.
⬥ The raining and flooding will continue through the month until 10/27, with part 2 of the event going up on 10/28, but the pouring rain will noticeably lessen once the boss is defeated and the ofuda is returned to the castle. At the worst of the flooding, single story buildings in town will be almost fully submerged, but the water level does not extend as high in the forest and both the castle and shrine will be left untouched by the flood during the month, although they'll still get rained on.
⬥ This month, the full moon (despite not being visible) occurs on 10/12-10/14, and Personas may behave strangely and disobey orders. This is an optional mechanic.

i. 10/11 - 10/12
[ This is so gross. It's like a snowball fight except with mud, and Kano has his illusion power on full force, idly slinging mud at people's blind spots. This feels more like the sort of thing they'd do back at school, except that instead of mud, it'd probably be something on fire.

It's a dodging exercise for him, but he also has his Persona out so she can play too, since the townspeople can't see her anyways. For these two days, Ala's preferred form is that of a young girl who looks like Kano, close enough to be his sister, while Kano himself has gone ahead and made himself into the form of a black cat with gold eyes and slightly ragged fur that sticks up in the rain. Sometimes things like this is nice, letting Ala be a person while he gets to be the Familiar, always sticking near her but trying to keep to the fences and stuff to keep out of the mud.

Looks like she's having fun, laughing and playing the part of a ghost who's going right up to people and smearing mud across their faces, though she doesn't differentiate between townspeople who can't see her, and Persona users who can. ]

ii. any time
[ Over the course of the month, Kano's taken it upon himself to convert Castle Ouma into something more livable. He's going to be really miffed when the castle rebuilds itself and ruins all his work, but for now, the second floor of the castle has tarps hung overhead where the ceiling would have been, strategically placed so that the rain runs off the surface and dumps all the water right over where the broken set of stairs is. Similarly elsewhere, there's a tarp that— if you pull the rope a certain way- will dump rainwater right over the Velvet Room door entrance through a small hole in the floor that definitely wasn't there before, because none of the stone around it is damaged.

Kano's up there sometimes, even when it starts to pour buckets and there's no dry space anywhere. He has to guard the base!! Aka lob water balloons at anybody who enters the castle from the forest or coming out of the Velvet Room, with the look of glee of a five year old if the balloon manages to hit its mark. When it bursts, the water smells kind of sweet? It's not water. ]

iii. after 10/21
[ The flooding's getting really bad now... There's little point in trying to keep dry when going around town, and the solution he had for doing so isn't the greatest; it's just because he wanted to know if he could do it.

That is, make a door raft out of somebody's front door. There aren't any walls to keep the water out, but as long as it floats, the water slides off and it's fine. On one end of the door is a fan which is supposed to be used as a propeller so you don't have to waste energy paddling, but it's a WIP and put on hold while Kano just sits there with a large plastic box in between his legs, and lets the door float around wherever. He's mumbling something to himself about zip lines when a frog plops on his head and he shakes it off, disgusted, but not letting it show on his face. He says it, though. ]

Haha, how gross~

[ The frog croaks at him, and Kano puffs his cheeks back at it, but leaves it alone. Maybe it'll wash away by itself. ]

Nana-chan would've really liked you, huh? Maybe I can find a way to ship you off to her~

[ The frog opens its mouth and its tongue darts out, smacking Kano on the face and he lets out a shout, flinging the frog away from him and if it hits you, it hits you. It'd serve you right for being out here in the storm like a dumbass. ]

wc.
[ And here's an obligatory catch-all prompt for anything new! Now that Kano's got his illusions back, he largely spends his time as a black cat while scouting the town during the days, but can also be found as himself at the castle and the school. His Persona can be interacted with during the festival. ]

i. 10/3 - 10/13
[ Kido will cling onto being able to stay in her house as long as possible, but the door's already gone missing once and even if they were to seal all the exits and make it watertight, who knows how long they'll be stuck in the house? If they absolutely have to move, staying at the inn is still forbidden, so it would have to be the school.

So this is where she helps out, for much of the month, rearranging the classrooms on the second floor for people to be able to stay inn, and sealing up all the doors on the first floor as best they can because they can't possibly move everything upstairs. Kido, for her part, is glad to see Suzume and Hayato again, the two kids she used to babysit for. She is not glad, though, when Hayato mentions the Seven School Mysteries and wants her to go explore with him. ]

L-look, Hayato, that sort of stuff isn't real, so don't let people fool you into thinking it is. Anyways, we have work to do, right? You can pick the next place we help out at.

[ "Hmm..." Hayato thinks a bit, then brightens up. "Then, the gym! Sensei says we can bring the mats upstairs to use as beds!" ...It's already sundown. She made a mistake letting him choose. Somebody help. ]

ii. 10/14
[ She's in the school when the power goes out in the middle of the day and Kido screams, thinking that time had gotten away from her (easy, when there's no sun to gauge the time of day) and it had somehow become Lockdown without her realizing. But with the chatter that wells up, it's clear that everybody's still here and nobody knows what's going on. Those Seven School Mysteries were terrifying enough that Kido refused to spend her nights in the school, but she decides she can brave one night to help everybody out.

Which was a mistake, because when Lockdown finally did hit, Kido can't tell at all in the darkness, sliding open one of the classroom doors to grab some extra chairs, and screaming when she finds herself face to face with a Tobi Tengu that she immediately boots in the face without even realizing what it is. If this hadn't already happened to her once before, being randomly dropped into the dungeon when she stayed in the school at midnight, she might've been more confused, but she manages to gather her thoughts enough to book it out of the floor while the Shadow's still stunned. It's an easier dungeon, but she's not supposed to be this far into any dungeon when she can't summon her Persona. ]

iii. 10/15 - 10/26
[ Being one of the only people who isn't affected by the lake's toxins, it's basically an obligation that Kido is out there in the water running any rescue missions that come up. She's quiet, for the most part, always looking down like there's something on her mind, but it's fine because all she has to do is make the rounds from house to house looking for any stranded people or stray cats, and if she focuses her efforts on this, she doesn't have to think about anything else.

Mid-month, she can get by with just wading through the water, lifting her knees up high just to be able to get anywhere, but towards the end of the month, there's no choice but to swim. There are no boats in Hirajiro; people avoid the lake, and there is no ocean.

"Take somebody with you," she was told, and so she did, but then just left and did her own thing, leaving her partner to jump from rooftop to rooftop if they want to keep out of the water. Careful not to slip, and under no circumstances are you allowed to drop the cat Kido's coming back to give to you. ]

wc.
[ Kido's around... sort of... She's not in the best of moods, but she'll be fine. Most of the time, she'll be at the school this month, but she can be found anywhere in town as needed. ]

I. 10/2-5: #solochallenge is a horrible hashtag

[ Terry had taken up on Minato's suggestion and that is the reason why he doesn't have his omamori for several days. You'll be able to find him in the Dungeons at Lockdown like always, but he is not summoning Vassago at all. Thankfully, the Victory Cry passive enables him to keep going and going.

A) During 10/2-3, you'll be able to find him in the School Dungeon, clobbering all sorts of Shadows with his power alone and he doesn't seem to be all that tired despite everything. On the first floor, you might see him swinging a Raven's lantern right back at them to smack their heads. It's... fun. Or you might see him tear up a Chimera in a bloodless frenzy. Fun.

B) During 10/4-5, you'll be able to find him in the Lake Dungeon, whether it's slaughtering bears and wolves on the second floor, him looking sick on the third floor in the forest for some reason while grabbing a hold of a sandal-shaped Shadow, or him about into jump to the fourth floor after bleeding on the bear a bit on 10/5 (limited to one). Somebody stop this idiot.
]

II. 10/7: his demigod powers are good for things like this too

[ Despite having passed out on the 5th due to heatstroke, Terry has been diligently boarding up the Black Cat house ever since the rain showed no signs of stopping. It's also his first time experiencing with so much rain, but after pinpointing how to stop water from getting into the house, he's been working on that ever since. He shouldn't have left the door for last, because somebody ran off with it, so he bought a new door and installed it, and then started boarding that up too. All that in the rain. He'll probably be working on this all day today. Feel free to scold him or whatever. He's not leaving until he's done. ]

III. 10/8-12: it's not that kind of "stranger things"

[ After all that is done, Terry has been trying to investigate the Seven School Mysteries because he's bored and there's nothing he can do. He can't even cook in the school, but it's either this or he goes outside for a walk.

A) You'll hear Terry scream somewhere, whether it's during 4:00 in the halls, or at the gymnasium. Either that or you can catch him sneaking around the buildings, seemingly looking for something...

B) Or you might catch him outside during the Paantu Festival, looking at people marching through the water and the mud. He has rainboots, rain jacket, and an umbrella with a very sharp ferrule (tip). He has a demon attached to his arm, who seems to be clingy because apparently he smells nice? Goddamn cinnamon. Terry doesn't seem to bother as he watches dead frogs and fish pass through the waters quietly until the demon flings mud at your face.
]

IV. 10/14-15: don't starve together, cetana ver.

[ Terry is in the Velvet Room this time around, but mostly keeps to his room. There are a lot of materials, mostly copper, aluminum, silver, and a bunch of wires. These are most of what he could salvage from the junkyard that hasn't been washed out by the rain or corroded due to time. tldr there's a bunch of junk in Terry's room that's spilling out into the hallway. Good luck getting in. ]

wildcard.

[ If you have any other prompts you want to throw at me, hit me up! This is basically a catch-all, so please feel free to leave multiple tags for different prompts. Terry will only be available for whatever you want during 10/1-15! For any questions, please contact by PM or [plurk.com profile] celenza! Thanks! ]

I. 10/3-10: DIY mysteries

[ As much as it's a blessing for some, staying in the Velvet Room feels like it takes forever for time to pass (because it does), so sometimes 45 will be out in the school where everyone is, because she thinks it'll be fun to kill time. She also spread an additional rumor around the school--it isn't one of the Seven School Mysteries, but if you sometimes flick the light switch in an empty classroom at night, a monster will appear and it'll slow you down, terrorizing you all the meanwhile and then it disappears as if it was never there.

So sometimes, she'll be around, playing the piano when no one is around to the simple tune of chopsticks, shaking the anatomical model herself, and painting over the red stains with white paint and making blush marks with the leftovr red on its face. She's still wearing the blue Attendant clothes, so she'll stick out a lot among the crowd.
]

II. 10/11-12: it's blue and yellow, just like that stupid dress

[ To add onto the hideously amount of blue she wears normally, she also has a blue rain poncho with kneehigh rainboots. But she still sticks out either way because she has a normal umbrella that's obnoxiously yellow with a smiley face drawn on it. She also has something long that seems to be strapped to her back, but it's covered in a black cloth. ]

Old time customs sure are weird.

[ She doesn't seem to care when she gets hit with the mud, since it just hits the poncho or the umbrella. She does have a threatening aura around her, that if you hit her anywhere else, you might be able to find out what's under that cloth. ]

wildcard.

[ HIT ME UP WITH ANYTHING!! As always, contact by PM or [plurk.com profile] celenza if you want to play something out. She'll also be hanging out in the Velvet Room a lot. Thanks! ]

10/1 - Velvet Room

[Hi Souji, Minato. There's a tiny girl falling through the door with a squeak. Instead of getting up immediately, she just kind of lays there, curled up in pain.]

U-uuu...

[-Pain that's probably from more than just the fall, actually. She's clutching at her side in particular, and there's bandages wrapped around her head, to say nothing of the fact that she's barefoot in hospital clothes.

Help.
]

10/1 - Town

[There's a girl wandering into town today, her arms curled around herself as she limps through town, dressed only in a hospital outfit with bandages still wrapped around her head simply because it hasn't occurred to her to remove them yet. Her feet are bare, and judging by the dirt smudges, she probably fell on her knees at least once in her trek through the forest. Looks like her feet met with some rocks too, if the limp is anything to go by.]

U-uu... Wh-where am I...?

[Surely people couldn't be so cruel as to leave this poor girl to fend for herself?]

10/5 - School - Day

[It's almost a good thing that everyone's in such a giving mood in light of the flooding, because not only has Rio been given canned food and a place to sleep, but someone managed to scrounge up some hand-me-downs. Ignore the fact that they're extremely obviously children's clothes.

She can be found in a second floor classroom with a cat snoozing in her lap, bandages still around her head to be safe. Her feet don't even touch the ground from her seat, but she doesn't seem to mind, petting the cat idly as she looks around.
]

It doesn't look spooky to me... Th-the rumors are probably just fake, right...?

[She seems to be trying to convince herself that all the ghost stories aren't real.]

10/5 - School Dungeon - Lockdown

[That is, until the Lockdown starts and she ends up on the first floor of the dungeon. Anyone else unfortunate to get caught up in the lockdown there may just hear a shrill scream as a tiny girl runs past, a black raven following her.]

Hyeeek!

[This is the option to rescue the moe uguu.]

10/6 - School Dungeon - Lockdown

[Another night, another accidental dungeon. Rio's already whimpering as the surroundings change once more, and her voice is weak and trembling as she calls out:]

H-help... anyone, help!

[...But no one answered.

How annoying.

As she looks to the onmoraki following her through the streets, she gives a click of her tongue, reaching into a backpack she was able to scrounge up- and pulling out a pipe bomb. With a practiced speed, her Persona flickers into existence just long enough to light the fuse, and Rio throws it a fraction of a second before she darts into a house for cover.

The resulting bang is loud, shrapnel in the form of twisted metal bits and- sewing needles? flying everywhere. Hopefully no one else got caught in the blast.

10/7 - School Halls

[Rumors have been abounding about this place, and eventually Sasuke can be found wandering the halls, headed in the directions of the various locations the mysteries are said to take place. He was, after all, the one fearless enough (or at least, with so little self-preservation) to check out the ghosts supposedly haunting the hotel, so why not the school?

So, first stop: The painting. He's watching it intently as he walks by, and with how rampant the rumors are, it's pretty easy to guess what he's up to.

[ a for arrival ]

[It's hard for her to decide right away what's more distressing: the fact that she's in an unfamiliar place when she'd just been curled up in her bed having some weird fucking dream, or that she was woken up wet and cold, because there's a substantial amount of sitting water around her and threatening to rise. She knows that finding Sophie should be her priority -- make sure the girl's okay, the girl was her sidekick now, the girl had already been through so much and if something has happened to her, Lying Cat would make sure that this flooded area would run red instead -- but she can't help but feel so indignant. She was warm! She was safe! Why is this happening!!

Well. She can look for Sophie in places at higher ground, and then the girl will drape herself over her and set everything right again. This in mind, she quiets the plaintive mewl that wants to come out to an annoyed grumble, and sloshes her way out of the growing pool.

...Leaving behind the soggy omamori, for now. Look, her paws weren't made for carrying!]

[ b for back off ]

[What the hell kinda planet or moon is this? It must be Cleave, she thinks dryly as she spits out another hiss directed at the person splattering her with mud. That place was supposed to be a stupid mudball, right?

Great, so that's solved. Now if only she could figure out why they were throwing mud all over the place. Like there wasn't enough of it underfoot! She growls in warning as she sees a different, cloaked weirdo scooping up a handful a few feet away from her, but it doesn't do much to deter them.

Fine. She tried to tell you.

What she doesn't expect as she rears up to slash her claws at the person's mask is that underneath it isn't the usual beings she's seen wandering around -- ones that were like Sophie or The Will and his family, without wings or horns or big ears. This place seemed to have been limited to them, aside from the wandering, regular cats that puffed up as she passed by. This thing was weird and trying to make the mistake of pinning to the ground while laughing.

With a screech, Lying Cat contorts herself to get her foot between them and kick the grabby creature away, but it yanks at her tail to keep her in reach. She's got herself a determined little nuisance.]

I. HIGHER EDUCATION (10/3-10/9)

[Well, this sucks.]

[So, that apartment — that house that Akira is only barely able to actually pay for nowadays, that houses all the Pokémon and all of their stuff and Red’s comatose body — that’s not a great place. It doesn’t stand up too well to intense flooding, as it turns out. To be honest, after this all blows over, Akira’s not sure anymore if he and the squad can even stay there any longer, either due to payments or damages.]

[But in the meantime, they’ve set up camp in one of the classrooms. Akira’s corner of one of the classrooms is filled with a large bag of his important belongings such as clothes, what food he can stockpile for the Pokémon, and a large form covered at all times in blankets. It almost looks like a person, and one of the Pokémon is always hanging around nearby, just in case. Akira gets very defensive if you try to stray too close to it.]

[It feels wrong, just… leaving him there, but the apartments aren’t safe and Red is still technically alive. And Akira won’t let him drown. So it just… kinda looks like he’s… really obviously hiding a body, and using these weird animals that came out of nowhere as guard dogs.]

II. THIS PLACE IS NOWHERE AFTER ALL (10/24)

[Lockdown will start soon. Akira is still out in the rain, though, trailed by Blastoise. One of them looks like they’re living their best life given the circumstances, one of them looks freezing and miserable, and you have three chances to guess which is which.]

[To be honest, Blastoise is mostly here because she likes the rain so much. At least one of them does. Akira has his big dark coat pulled around him like a shield or a security blanket, so his height and the reflection of his water-speckled glasses are really the main way you can tell it’s him. His body language is defensive and closed off, but both he and Blastoise are walking with purpose, so you can easily follow them…]

[…up to the gates of the shrine.]

Careful, the stone is wet.

[Whether he’s just talking to Blastoise, or addressing the person he noticed has followed him, remains unclear.]

[To the top of the stairs, underneath the roof of the shrine. It’s still sopping wet and cold and dark here, but as Akira looks around, it seems like it’s in better order than it was before. If you have joined him, here in the only sacred place left in this godless world, this is where he actually addresses you. And he smiles a bit, like he knows that he’s here for a pitiful reason.]

At times like these, when everything’s gone to shit outside, you’re supposed to go to the kami and bribe them into helping you. That’s how it’s done back home, anyway. And the townsfolk think the kami here are angry.

But I’d be angry too, if no one bothered to even remember my name. Don’t you think?

[Akira’s opinions on false gods are well known. Real ones, he usually allows them to go about their business from afar, since none have ever really given him reason to hate them. But it’s hard not to think about this shitty, almost ignored shrine when every natural disaster under the sun is coming down on Hirajiro. So, you know, maybe he’ll just… stay here for a while. See if he can’t contact anyone.]

1. School Mysteries (10/21) cw: eye gore

[Toki has a love/hate relationship with the paranormal. He likes to scare himself, watching horror movies and television shows on mysterious phenomena. He enjoyed it much more before he knew these things were real, yet he can't stop deliberately exposing himself to it. As long as there are no possessed dolls, he can deal with this haunted school, or so he thinks. The stories seem all over the place, which makes them less believable, like the school is haunted by several different things at once. He's heard the piano play by itself, but that's been the extent of it until now.

He enters the science lab, wandering around and checking the cabinets for anything useful. There's too many little vials and containers and he's overwhelmed, so his brain shuts down and he doesn't bother to read the labels. It's far too much effort. He grabs the more colorful or shiny substances in the tinier containers, shoving them into his now dry carry-on bag. There's a soft thudding noise from behind. He freezes, breathing shallowly. There it is again. He dares to look, turning around slowly.

It's a... mannequin, with various degrees of exposed muscle and bone, showing the layers of skin and position of organs. It taps one foot on the floor impatiently; like it was waiting for him to notice it. Had it been watching him this whole time? The mannequin's plastic quickly transforms to more realistic flesh, the muscles twitching, the open cut-away sections leaking blood. The eyeball on the more skeletal side of the face pops out of the socket and his the floor with a squelch, sticking to it, rather than rolling like a fake one should. Toki screams, dropping a vial of something yellow and powdery; hopefully the fumes aren't poisonous.]

2. Raining Fish (10/22)

[He's gotten more used to the constant rain and dreariness, though it's still depressing. Toki sits on a windowsill on the second floor of the school building, dangling his bare feet out the window. He can see a lot of the town from there, the flood waters constantly rising. He's made a few cat friends, and an adorable grey tiger cat has settled in his lap.

The rain sounds change, and there are... fish? Fish, falling from the sky. He blinks in disbelief, but then an idea strikes. He gently shoves the cat back into the classroom as he leaves the window. He slips his shoes on and excitedly waves at the nearest person, standing a little close and possibly interrupting whatever they're doing.]

Hey! Do you know where I can find a bucket!?

[His plan is to collect fish for the cats, but he doesn't know about the lake toxins that might be seeping into them as they hit the flood waters.]

3. School Dungeon [3rd Floor] - Lockdown (10/24)

[Toki can deal with shit during the day for the most part, even though the sun never comes out. But at night, things are getting really annoying. Again, he's found himself in some different place where there's no sense of time and it's very hot. He soon realizes that wherever he ended up this night is worse. Things are on fire and smoking, there's screaming from several directions. He can hear what sounds like the flapping of enormous wings. Fuck this.

Before he knows what he's doing, he runs into a small metal shed of some sort. It's probably a bad idea to hide in an enclosed space, but that's what he's doing. Pressing himself against the wall only results in the feeling of being burned from a too-hot stove. Standing then, standing is good. The screaming from outside gets louder, prompting him to try and grab a nearby sword. It's extremely heavy and cumbersome, and when someone, or something, approaches too close to the metal structure, he grips the sword tightly and holds it close to him, like he's ready to swing a baseball bat.]

I've got weapons in here! Stay away or I'll bring my wrath down upon you!

4. Wildcard (any time after 10/19)
