[ Maybe it should be surprising as to how much Rio's words meant to Terry. How heavy those words are, that not even the death of his friends could have shaken him up into going in a "good" direction. It's unfortunate for everyone else, but those were the words that he needed to hear in the end. Of course, Terry is still scared, but he needs to put an end to it, now that he can actually do something about it. Shadow Terrence slowly walks over to the cage and crouches a little. Terry looks over to Rio. ]
... Yeah.
[ Then he shifts his gaze at his Shadow. Those gold eyes with his own face and voice will probably haunt him in his nightmares one day, but this isn't that day. Now, he needs to be strong. The feeling of envy clears and a lot of his negative emotions have been subdued. ]
Even if I'll never be as smart as how my original was, I'll continue living at my own pace. I don't need suppression anymore. I... won't need it anymore. I'll do my best to keep things at bay and stop hating myself if I ever relapse again. Even if I'll have to follow in my original's footsteps, I'll just pave my own path over it.
... That's the resolution I'll make with myself. And that's a promise I will also never break.
[ Shadow Terrence smiles upon hearing those words. He looks over to Rio, and quietly mouths a: "thank you" before disappearing into Terry's shadow. Vassago is summoned in the Shadow's place and it roars, making a true victory cry ring throughout the floor. The low cage vanishes and the invisible wall also shatters for good. There's a door at the back of the room. It looked to be a fake door that nearly blended with all the whiteness, apart from the bloody scratch marks on it. But the door now opens, revealing the outside--the perpetual rainy weather. The location is right outside the sewer hole.
Unfortunately, the celebration is short-lived. Vassago disappears after reclaiming all of Terry's weapons and Terry collapses for good. Shadow Terrence did say he only had a day left to live after all. He's also running a very high fever and is unable to stay conscious any longer, so he falls into a deep slumber. ]
