Terry murdered a man. Full details aren't disclosed and most of the townspeople don't know what he did, but since Terry is made to help out around town, it's more or less public knowledge that this is what's done to repay some sort of major crime.

There's some talk about friends and family coming to town to help everybody rebuild things and get the town running again, but it's hard to pick out new faces unless you know every single face in town already, and the new Persona users make it hard to tell whether it seems like there's more people because of them, or because of more people actually appearing in town.

The school principal has been caught in some kind of scandal and dismissed from his position. The school is already under a lot of stress just cleaning up from the flood and getting classes up and running again, so they're having difficulty filling the position in the midst of all that. Some parents talk about moving out of town to one of the neighboring ones, so their children don't fall behind.

Near the beginning of the month, nights have become a lot colder as the seasons shift towards winter, and a lot of the townspeople are worried if this winter will be much harsher than in the past, especially with the weird weather in the past few months. There's mentions of the heatwave and the flooding, and of angry gods they don't know how to appease.

Some of the clothing stores in town are having huge sales due to a lot of stock being waterlogged and left sitting for a month. If you don't care about clothes that smell kind of funky until you wash and dry them for a few cycles, now would be a great time to buy clothes.
