[ after fucking off from the dungeon, leaving the daitengu all alone and sad (invite them too, guys :'( ), it's time to have fun. at whatever agreed upon time, the ou hirajiro gang is here to finally get some good r&r. rei has been extremely excited so she's early in front of the bathhouse, holding a bag of her belongings. she waves down anyone she sees. come faster!! let's get this show on the road! ]

Bathhouse time, hoooooo!!

[ for things in the bathhouse, there are your usual spa options: a sauna, jacuzzi, pedicures, manicures, that kind of stuff. have fun, everyone. ]

Kido saves Rei from drowning by putting a hand under her stomach to lift her up, trying not to get kicked in the process. ]

That was a good try.

[ Kido's decided that she's not qualified to teach swimming techniques. ]

[ she coughs a few times as she is brought up from drowning. she decides that maybe floating on her stomach is not a great idea and tries to stand back up in the pool. swimming is tough :( ]

Aw, it's so hard...

[ she looks around and then spots one of those cute donut floaties that kids use. ]

Oh! How about I use one of those?

[ Rei can just be an otter in the pool from now on. Stay floating on her back and keep her face out of the water. ]

That might be good. Wait here and I'll—

[ Grab a floatie, but there's a non-zero chance that Rei might drown in the thirty seconds that Kido is gone picking out a floatie from the stack. She trusts Rei more on solid ground. ]

Why don't you grab one, so you can choose what color you want? I'll be right here.

[ goddammit, an otter floating. i love that. maybe ananke should also turn rei into an otter later so then she can float in the pool. ]

Mmhm, I'll be right back.

[ she'll get out of the pool but because no one has really taught her anything about pool rules, she doesn't know that you shouldn't run around the pool. as a result, due to her wanting to grab a floatie and come back as soon as possible, she runs and she immediately slips, slamming her face right into the hard ground. did you really trust rei more on solid ground, kido... ]

[ REI GETS ZERO TRUST EVER AGAIN! NONE FOR HER!

Kido is out of the pool in a second, and also... running... over to Rei, because she's also stupid, and she also slips and falls. Both of them are getting kicked out of the pool room. ]

[ LMAO goddammit, these are such successful sisters. rei definitely has a bleeding and very bruised nose, but at least it's luckily not broken?? nothing that ananke can't heal, but rei lies there for a good few seconds until she hears a thump of kido falling nearby. she looks up with a pool of blood on her face and underneath towards kido. ]

A-Are you okay, neechan?!

[ She's doing better off than Rei, at least, since she falls from a greater height and has time to break her fall with her hands. They're going to hurt after this, but at least she's not bleeding. ]

I'm fine. The ground's slippery, so be careful.

[ Just in case Rei didn't notice. ]

Come on, let's get you cleaned up... I'll have Nekogami ice that if it still hurts.

[ rei has certainly noticed... her nose hurts, but at least she hasn't broken anything... ]

O-Okay... I can get Ananke to heal us up too.

[ she sniffs a little because this hurts a lot. she'll still want nekogami for support. also this will be the last time that rei can play with bongonami before she turns into a zombie and bongonami evolves into Bigger bongoami... ]

[ There's blood everywhere, ahhhhh. Kido makes a quick stop to the lockers to grab her omamori and send Nekogami over with Rei's omamori in his mouth so she can heal herself first, while Kido gathers up their clothes and towels so they can change after getting rinsed off in the showers.

Nekogami makes a little chunk of ice grow in Rei's hands so she'll have something of an ice pack, and then drapes himself over Rei's shoulders to wait for Kido. ]

[ rei sits on a bench while waiting for kido. when nekogami comes on over, she takes the omamori so she can heal with ananke, then takes the little chunk of ice to press against her nose. at the same time, she'll pet nekogami on the head while waiting for kido. ]

Thank you, Nekogami, you're always so helpful.

[ Nekogami purrs. He's a good cat.

Kido comes back soon enough, handing Rei her clothes and a towel. ]

Nothing's broken, right? I think I'm done swimming for today. We can do something else after getting changed.

[ she'll take her clothes. time to rinse off and then run off somewhere else (and slip again). ]

Mmhm, okay. I'll get changed and then we can find something else to do.

[ which can just lead to their little blanket fort thread. they swam for two minutes and now have decided to camp out for the rest of the bathhouse trip. ]
