[OPEN] 12/14 SOMETHING HAPPY BEFORE WE DESCEND BACK INTO DESPAIR

[ It was decided that the wedding would take place at the castle, somewhere that was quaint, small, and personal. Now that the bottom two floors have been restored, it looks nicer than its original run-down state. Added with all the decorations, all pink and yellow with plenty of cute things, it certainly has taken a completely new look, one that's appropriate for a celebration. ]

[ There'll be the actual wedding ceremony itself where everyone can sit in their seats with 52 cats that are wearing matching white knitted sweaters and then there'll be the party afterwards where everyone is allowed to eat and drink as much as they want. There is no particular dress requirement for the wedding except for one: everyone must wear a flower clown as soon as they enter the castle grounds. ]

[ idk if seto officially met orien but he probably did so i'm just going to say that he did. ]

[ Is he referring to Terry or Orien? The answer is yes. ]

[ Terry's just gonna assume Seto is talking about Orien, because maybe he really is one of the more fancily dressed people here for standards. Certainly, no one would be expecting a snake dressed in a knit tux, top hat, flower crown, and a monocle. Orien tips the top hat over to Seto in greeting and puts it back on properly.

Meanwhile, Terry is more or less used to dressing up like this, because this is par for the course when he's working as a butler in the cafe. ]

Someone couldn't pass up the chance.

[ Terry laughs a little.

"I thank you for the compliment, young lad. You are looking quite dashing yourself." ]

[ Seto laughs a bit with Terry. He is looking a bit better than normal, going with this suit rather than that hideous frog jumpsuit he always likes to have. ]

Haha, you think so? I normally don't wear clothing like this.

[ "Yes, I suppose Terry here would be an outlier because he normally wears these kinds of clothes for work."

Orien points over at Terry with his tail end. Terry's smile is a little crooked. ]

You make it sound like my work is something else entirely...

Nothing wrong with that! At least you look good in it!

[ Seto won't slap Terry on the back like he normally does, but I almost did have him do it. ]

I'm always jumping from one part-time job to the next that I just have to wear whatever's comfortable.

You're working multiple jobs too?

[ Seto............. Terry has a look of pity and admiration mixed in there. He's happy that Seto's another guy who can understand. ]

Yeah, I normally work multiple jobs. I did that a lot back home and that let me take care of my siblings.

[ At least Seto enjoys having a bunch of multiple jobs and doesn't have to worry about a huge debt like Terry. He does it because he enjoys it. ]

I only have one job here, but I'm looking to pick up more work soon.

So you're the type that likes keeping himself busy? What about free time?

[ ichi if jin can't give seto free time other than to die, give him the freedom ]

I take days off when they schedule me in for them. I typically get the nights off, at least if I don't pick up a job that requires me to work overnight.

[ bold of you to assume that i'm kind enough to let seto enjoy himself. i'm going to work him to death ]

But part-time work is how I was able to get better. I didn't want to be the same coward forever, so I began to work and that's how I got confident. I want to continue that so I don't fall back into old habits.

[ Old habits, a past coward, rising confidence levels... Terry thinks about all that. He thought working a job was full of hassles, but only when he absolutely needed money. ]

But still... I don't think money is much of an issue here.

Haha, I guess not, but I'm pretty used to paying for everything around the hideout and giving Kido an allowance. Plus, it's always good to save!

[ He's still going to give Kido some money. If Terry won't take his rent money, he'll sneak it to Kido as a guise of an allowance. ]
