i. 8/20-21: out of sight, out of mind

[ On the morning/noon of the 20th, you can catch Terry standing in random places in Hirajiro, turning his head this and that way as if looking for something. His cat family of five keep following him and stopping when he stops. Maybe you saw him loop over several times. What's up with that? He also has a plastic bag hung over his arm where he grabs a breakfast bar and munches on it. How long has he been munching on that? How many does he even have in that bag? itsamystery.jpg.... Maybe you'll find him sitting on the bench with several cat toys, playing with the cats and several other strays with a fishing rod toy while Ami, the mother cat, watches her children play while resting on the bench with Terry. One of the kittens trot away from the group and it doesn't look like Terry realizes it, but that one kitten will be going up to you and pawing your foot... and then sits on your shoe.

On the 21st, if you're bumming in the Velvet Room like Terry is or happened to come to ask the attendants something, you'll see Terry sitting in the lounge with his feet up on the footrest while on the couch. He's been here for a while now, so the entire lounge now smells like cinnamon. You're welcome. He's working on playing cat's cradle by himself, but he keeps messing up, even the easy parts for some reason. Looks like it's hard to play when you're blind. Due to frustration, he squishes the bundle of string in his hands and throws it in a seemingly random direction, but that's gonna hit you in the face if you don't move. He's still eating breakfast bars to satiate his junk food appetite. Someone put him out of his misery. ]

ii. 8/21-31: a variant of endless mode in dungeon crawling

[ On the 21st, Terry is only sticking to the first floor. It doesn't look like he's afflicted with blindness because he's sending Vassago this way and that to kill everything on sight--not to mention that he's striking down incoming divebombing Ravens like it's nothing with his bare hands, killing them on impact with the floor. He only grabs the loot every now and then though, as opposed to every single time they drop something.

The rest of the nights until August ends, Terry is in full force, punting Shadows despite their resistances to get them away, killing Ravens, having Vassago take care of the ones he sent flying like a kickball--there seems to be no end to the number of Shadows, but it looks like Terry's going on strong despite that. However, on the 27 and 28th, it looks like he's extremely tired and a bit irritable, but he's still pushing himself anyway, because that's who he is. It's what he does. There doesn't seem to be any stopping to Vassago's killing spree either, due to his Life Aid passive that heals him every time a battle is finished. Combined that with Life Drain and Vassago can go on forever. Terry is definitely collecting all the loot that that happens to drop, except... the onmoraki scroll on occasion. He feels like he has enough of those, so he just chucks it over his shoulder and might hit your character or their Persona. Have fun getting something stinky hit your face, but hey--you might need it for Minato's quest. ]


iii. 8/20 night: 99 bottles of beer on the wall cw: for alcohol consumption and just being drunk in general

[ The cats wait outside. Terry is at a bar for once in his life. He's never been in one before, but he did have experience drinking. However, that's when he had his body filter. He doesn't have that in Hirajiro (and probably won't for a long time). So when he turns 21 on the 20th, he figures that he should experience going to a bar today. So he does.

Maybe you're also at the bar for some reason, whether you're of the legal age to drink or not. The bar serves all kinds of drinks there, including underage-friendly stuff. Maybe you're staring at Terry as he downs the entire glass in one go. Maybe you just came out of a Velvet Room portal after dealing with the Attendants and see a bar fight unfold before your eyes in which a blind dude completely owns someone by merely smacking them to the ground with accurate precision.

Anyway, there's a lot of ways you go about this prompt, but the bottom line is that Terry is going to drink a lot and is going to get drunk. Have fun... ]

iv. 8/22-26 afternoons: I'll give them shelter like you've done for me

[ When you're somewhere in the forest outskirts close to town, you might hear a melody play on loop. If you decide to follow the music, you'll find Terry lying on the forest floor, stomach down, with a bunch of crows perching on his head and back while the cat family curls up a little away from him, but still within distance. The source of the music is a small music box that doesn't seem to have an ending to the tune. It just plays forever.

Though when you approach him, he easily stirs awake because he's normally a light sleeper. ]

Mm...? Who's there?


wildcard all of August

[ tl;dr Terry lost his sight during 8/19-21, has an urge to continuously eat junk food during 8/19-25, working without pay at the maid cafe during 8/22-28 for full 8-hour shifts and have a flock of crows follow him, and then he's unable to sleep for the nights of 8/27-28. As you can see, he's going to be insanely tired by the end of the month... lmao. Everything happens so much in Cetana. You can also hit him up for his location services any time during August if your character needs to find something or just want to chat with Terry while he's at the market street stall. Basically, if you need anything from Terry during August, this is the post to do it.

[ Minato is just there minding his own business napping on the couch across from Terry— every time Terry comes to the Velvet Room, 9 times out of 10 he's probably seen Minato asleep on any of the couches, but since he can't see this time, Minato should excuse him for being hit in the face with a bundle of string. But he does not.

His eyes flutter open with a frown as he lifts the string off his face and squints at it... and stuffs the string in his pocket to confiscate it, more or less deciding his own payment in lieu of an apology by getting up to sit on the armrest of Terry's couch and stealing one of those breakfast bars.

Om nom you're forgiven now. ]

[ How dare you steal one of his breakfast bars... Terry doesn't care what happens to the string, because he immediately decided that he doesn't, the moment he threw it off somewhere. He feels a shift from the side. Oh, somebody probably sat on the armrest. ]

Don't eat that... I need all of them.

[ He closes up the plastic bag and holds it tightly in his arms. Mine. ]

Why...? Is this stuff so much better than bear steak?

[ If it is, Minato wants even more to try. Terry's arms are full of breakfast bars, that Minato is sure he wouldn't be able to tell the difference between 24587435 and 24587434 bars anyways.

He would probably lose if he tried to wrestle the bag out of Terry's hands, so the next best thing would be to be annoying enough that Terry gives him a bar to make him go away; this means Minato slides off the armrest to sit right next to Terry, shoulder to shoulder despite the ample space on the rest of the couch. If Terry accidentally drops one of the bars, Minato would be in prime position to steal one, too. ]

iv. 8/22

[ rei has just been taking a little stroll around the area, not really having a destination in mind, when she hears the little melody. curious, she decides to follow it and lo and behold, it reveals an oniichan! ]

T-chan...?

[ she approaches and just looks at... well, everything from the crows to the cats and the music box. ]

What are you doing here?

Oh, it's you, Rei...

[ Terry slowly and carefully sits up letting the crows have time to get off him. Most of them will perch on the nearest tree branch while the remaining ones will either stay on his head or on his shoulder. The cats still remain asleep though. ]

I was taking a nap. [ He stretches his arms out forward. ] What about you? What brings you to the forest?

[flowerclips]

[ rei will approach and kneel down next to him. ]

I was walking when I heard some music. [ she points to the music box. ] It sounded really nice so I wanted to see where it was coming from.

[ both velvet room attendants are here to make terry's life even more miserable. souji is walking through the lounge when the bundle of string hits his chest and lands on the floor. hm. ]

Hey, no littering.

[ By that voice, he can tell that's Souji. Hm. ]

I don't see a trash bin anywhere.

[ He says while snacking on the breakfast bar. At least he's not throwing those wrapped on the floor and they go back in the plastic bag. ]

[ he will pick up the bundle of string and holds it out for terry, not realizing that hm, someone is blind. ]

iii.8/20

[ Leon is there in the bar, not because he's going for a drink. Despite how all over the place he is, he follows the laws and order obediently... most of the times. He'll bend it when it's necessary, but drinking isn't a necessity for him. He just finished the session he had in the bar ー he's been singing there occasionally for extra money, sometimes also helping out with the bartending. He can't drink, but he can make drinks!

...Well, okay, he does taste test sometimes, but it's never more than a taste test!!

He didn't notice Terry earlier as he was so focused on his own performance, but now that he does, he comes up to him, nudging Terry's shoulder with his. ]

Te~rry-senpai! What are you drinking?

[overstrain]

[ Huh, oh. He can't really mistake that voice for anyone else, really. No one else calls him senpai either, so that's gotta be Leon. ]

I dunno... I think it's either sex on the beach or pinot noir.

[ Those two... are completely different drinks. But does it look like Terry cares? No. He downs another glass of red wine (it's pinot noir if Leon asks the bartender). ]

Gimme another, bartender!!

[ Uh oh, Leon was just saying hi at him for fun but within just a second he can tell that Terry has been drinking for quite a while now. Not only from how he reeks with alcohol, but the way his voice sounded. Plus, he must be really smashed to have actually confused the two entirely different drinks. Leon's pretty new in his bartending gig, but he can at least tell the two apart. Obviously! ]

Mou! You're still gonna drink?! You should stop there, you're gonna feel bad if you drink some more! [ He puts a hand between Terry and the bartender. ] Keita-san, it's fine, don't listen to him. Can we have some water, please?

[ Kido's opinion of Terry is like a rollercoaster sometimes, except that instead of rising and falling, it just sort of lifts a little and then plummets straight to hell sometimes, and that's sort of where this is going, Kido walking by the bar and spotting Terry's cats outside— there's little mistaking a mother cat and her kittens, after all- and she crouches down by the door to greet them, hand out. ]

Hey there. Is Terrence somewhere around?

[ Not that the cats can understand or answer her or anything, but still. ]

[ Ami, the mother cat, meows at Kido in response. Emi, the second oldest kitten, recognizes Kido and jumps ahead to get her attention, but is immediately foiled by Umi, who walks in front of her. They get into a catfight soon enough, in which the oldest, Imi, joins in because it looks fun and Omi, is hiding behind the mom because it takes a while for him to get used to someone.

There's a loud commotion in the bar, with some people chanting "fight fight fight", and a slam on the ground, followed by some rowdy cheering. About a minute or two later, Terry walks out of the bar normally, and Ami perks her head up to look over at him. ]

C'mon, Ami... call your kittens and let's go.

[ Despite calling out for the cats, he doesn't seem to be aware that Kido is right there. Next to the cats. Despite him facing her.

??? ]

[reveilation]

[ One day, Kido will be able to tell the kittens apart other than just sitting there and smiling over how cute they are jumping on each other like that, but the shouting in the bar makes Kido start a little, turning to the door although she doesn't get up.

The way her chest tightens up upon seeing Terry surprises her for a moment, until it dawns on her why: it's the same sort of hurt that always made her upset to the point of tears when she was little, when somebody fails to notice her despite her being right there, like she's invisible and doesn't matter and she has to breathe out through her teeth to calm down and not engage Terry in bar fight #2.

Instead, she stands up, slow, eye to eye with her arms crossed and waiting for him to say something first. ]

[ keeping track of all these dates are confusing... anyway, the day after rei said that she'd draw the protags and their beautiful pq wedding, she does it and she's ready to show it to terry! after both her first shift at the maid cafe and terry's shift are done, she'll meet with him in the break room. she's still in uniform and she's a little tired, but she excitingly runs up to him. ]

T-chan! I finished that drawing I said I'd do!

[ she'll go to her locker and pull out a small sheet of paper from her bag. she holds it out to him. ]

This is as best as I remember it.

[ He was about to change his clothes, but is glad that he didn't because Rei seemingly pops out of nowhere to show him the drawing which completely slipped his mind in the wake of having to work for free... ]

Wow, he really was carrying him in the picture. Were they doing that heart gesture together too?

[ Going to a bar isn't the most questionable thing Mae has done this month, so she sees no problem in stepping in and taking a seat near the counter. The bartender gives her a look and after a short conversation, it becomes apparent that he's not going to sell her drinks. ]

What? I'm legal. Give me booze, dammit!!

[ This is cat discrimination. She might need backup... ]

[ Terry had been unable to sleep, so he steps into the bar, hoping that a drink could knock him out instead so that he could get some rest forcefully, but then he sees Mae at the bar and takes a seat next to Mae at the counter. ]

What's the problem here?

[ The bartender tells Terry that Mae needs to take off the fursuit so that he can at least tell that she doesn't at least look underage. Hm. ]

Oh, she's actually older than me. She needs to keep it on at all times because she gets really insecure without it... C'mon, mister bartender. Let's make it fair for everyone? Take my word for it. Sometimes a person just wants a drink without feeling like they're exposed.

iv. 8/23

[not_that_sasuke]

[It's hard to miss that sound, and Sasuke will come on over to investigate, a silver bookmark sticking out conspicuously from his pocket.]

Terry...?

Mm...? [ Terry yawns and starts to sit up from the forest floor. ]

Is that Sasuke...?

[ The music box continues to play its music while the crows make themselves comfortable on Terry. ]

8/25 dungeon 2nd floor

[tantantaaan]

[ The talk with Terry early in the month has really changed the way Leon sees things. There's still a (big) part of him that hesitates to take whatever happens here as reality, but he's taken a pretty strong stance against the monsters of the dungeon. Despite how much he used to dislike having to do training and the like, he wants to be stronger, and the only way he can get stronger is, he learned, by training and fighting off the monsters.

After swiping off the 1st floor, he comes down to the 2nd floor, where immediately after entering the floor, he could hear a loud noise welcoming him. He doesn't even need to search for it because right in front of him... ]

Terry... -senpai.

[ He mutters it quietly in sheer surprise of the side of Terry that he doesn't really get to see. It's like Terry's going on a killing spree. Leon shakes his head and tears his eyes away from Terry, immediately getting Suricatta to join the fight.

Goofy as Suricatta looks, you probably will get used to him after a while, especially with him slashing ravens and birds without mercy. If you don't focus on his face, he looks like just any other Persona. ...Okay not really but we can pretend. ]

[overstrain]

[ Terry quickly turns his head around to see Suricatta joining into the fight, so he stops laying the smackdown on the Shadows while Vassago keeps having fun with killing everything. Some Shadows look like they're in fear of the dragon if they haven't lived through the first assault. Maybe it's a good thing that Shadow monsters don't bleed. ]

Hey, Leon! Are you here to train?

8/28 dungeon 3rd floor

[ What's better than being welcomed with stinky as paper scroll on a good whamming dungeon night? Mondo grasps the scroll and crushes it in his grip, ready to yell at whoever threw it to his face. He marches forward, and immediately he recognises Terry's back. ]

Oi, ya idiot!! Don't throw shit so randomly like that even if ya don't need it!!

[ Fuck, he can smell it still under his nose... thanks Terry. ]

[ You're welcome, Mondo... It takes a second for Terry for react better, but he recognizes Mondo's voice at the very least. When he turns around , Mondo can see that Terry looks absolutely exhausted, as if nearly going mental at any given point. ]

Fine then. Give it back--no wait, you can keep it.

[ He doesn't want the stinky stuff either, and his nose feels like it's gonna kill him. ]
