[ You know what? Now's a good a time for this as any. When the Attendants send the call out to everybody on 9/4, Kido takes advantage of everybody being together to give them the address to the house she, Terry, and Rei are staying at, and asks them to meet there on 9/8 at noon if they're able to make it.

The original point of a meeting was to recruit for a gang, but with shit going down and people disappearing and personalities splitting off, it's turned into Kido needing to reach out to anybody who's a Persona user and consolidate everything that they know about everything. Personas. Shadows. The town itself. Anything.

If you're directionally challenged, it'll be easy to spot the house on Sunday afternoon because it's the only house on the block with two dozen crows perched on every inch of roof and telephone line there is around the house, and a five meter wide spider crab hanging around on the front yard, its front pincers bound so it can't snap at anybody, but it still scuttles around irately. ]

Sorry about the lack of furniture... Take a seat where you can find space, either on the couch or the floor. There's rice, miso soup, and gyudon in the kitchen if you're hungry; go ahead and help yourselves. We've got lots to talk about today.

The host might be safe if we take them out of the dungeon, but I can't put their life in danger like that to test it out.

[ Like... science experiments? Or experimenting on humans kind? Because Terry seems to be aware of both, but that doesn't seem to be the topic here. ]

[The seriousness from before breaks off a bit. Persona Sage... it makes him sound old, but he's not gonna stop Terry from saying it.]

[ Kido is the one who cooked all these, so as long as he keeps supplying Akira aka providing while he just sits there, that should be good. Probably. He hands Akira another bowl of food. ]

... That... green chariot thing. Is that yours?

[Akira leans back, eyebrows raised a little in surprise.]

The chariot's not green. Mara is green.

Where... did you see Mara?

... I know the chariot isn't green.

[ God. There are children in here. ]

The Attendants can summon all of our Personas. They summoned it several times already... [ He wants to die from remembering those. ]

I'm sorry.

[He doesn't usually blush thinking about Mara anymore. But knowing the Attendants can use him, and send him out on unsuspecting people? That does it.]

I mean, he's useful. Any intelligent enemy stops when they see him charging for them. And he hits hard...

Terry feels like he has seen things that he shouldn't have seen.

Terry looks appalled, but that would make sense, since he's Akira's Persona and... god... why does this keep happening. ]

[He puts his head in one hand.]

You really get used to him after a while. I swear.

[Does Akira really prioritize Persona utility so much that he keeps Mara around long enough to get used to him? ...Or is there some other reason?]

... I think I'm already getting to that process of getting slowly used to him...

[ And it kinda scares him. ]

What do you use him for anyway? Other than scaring people.

[ Terry put his lips to a water bottle and he's about to drink his water, but then he hears what Akira says and he feels like he's going to die. His face turns so red as he chokes on his water. After some coughs, he whines: ]

[Akira puts a hand to his face, ostensibly because there's water, but really because he's also blushing and that's a bad look for someone so doggedly committed to coolness and detachment.]

I— look, I'm sorry, it came out wrong!

That's not the only thing that came out wrong!!

[ Terry's just wailing now... poor Akira. Even though seeing Akira blush is amusing in its own way, Terry can't deal with dick jokes while drinking his water. ]

[He just groans quietly and puts his head in both of his hands.]

I thought I was over this! Mara! Fucking Mara—

[He groans louder.]

[overstrain]

[ At this point, Terry just feels like he wants to die and never come back alive again. ]

This... this isn't working... this is worse than when they surrounded me with two dick chariots... I want to die...

[Akira just. Leans back against the wall. His face is bright red, and now more than ever he looks like he's hiding behind his glasses and bangs.]

[There's another pause.]

Hey... did you guys bring alcohol?

[because he could rEALLY USE IT not that he's ever had much more than a weak drink or two that Lala or Ohya snuck him.]

[overstrain]

[ Terry just looks at Akira for a second. He doesn't care about drinking laws as long as nobody is feeding little kids any drinks, but... it's like noon, so he talks in a whisper. ]

... Kido's gonna kick us out if we drink inside.

[infiltrationtools]

[...Hm.]

[He tilts his head downward, and responds:]

Damn it. I don't want to leave.

[There's still some free food to be exploited. ...And, uh, important conversations to be had about Shadows and crows and stuff.]

Terry gets up and gestures Akira to follow him to the kitchen. They gotta make bad decisions now. ]

[Akira gets to his feet, picking up the remains of his latest serving of Kido's top tier home cooking. He's playing it cool. So cool. See, the blush is even starting to recede.]
