[ You know what? Now's a good a time for this as any. When the Attendants send the call out to everybody on 9/4, Kido takes advantage of everybody being together to give them the address to the house she, Terry, and Rei are staying at, and asks them to meet there on 9/8 at noon if they're able to make it.

The original point of a meeting was to recruit for a gang, but with shit going down and people disappearing and personalities splitting off, it's turned into Kido needing to reach out to anybody who's a Persona user and consolidate everything that they know about everything. Personas. Shadows. The town itself. Anything.

If you're directionally challenged, it'll be easy to spot the house on Sunday afternoon because it's the only house on the block with two dozen crows perched on every inch of roof and telephone line there is around the house, and a five meter wide spider crab hanging around on the front yard, its front pincers bound so it can't snap at anybody, but it still scuttles around irately. ]

Sorry about the lack of furniture... Take a seat where you can find space, either on the couch or the floor. There's rice, miso soup, and gyudon in the kitchen if you're hungry; go ahead and help yourselves. We've got lots to talk about today.

Me too.

[ It's hard to think back to how she was before, because it's so much different than the person she is now— and she's the person she is now because she made herself this way, she made herself step up and fill in this void that her sisters had left, and she's going to make sure it works. It's hard and she still messes up a lot and gets people hurt, but she'll never stop trying. ]

And yep, it's a bad excuse. You're scared because you don't want to hurt people, but people are pretty resilient, and getting hurt is a natural part of life, sometimes.

[He still sounds pretty uncertain, though. Then again, it's not like he's ever gotten to know people well enough to see as much for himself.]

How did you change so much?

[reveilation]

Hm... I grew up, I guess? My living situation got better, and I was surrounded by supportive people. I had somebody I looked up to, and I strove to be like her.

[ Tragedies aside, she's been very lucky, she thinks. Her mistakes were pardoned, she never had to doubt that she was loved and wanted, things were just better and she could thrive in a healthier environment. ]

I guess it takes two sides. You have to want to change, and you need somebody to give you feedback, so you know you're making that change.

[not_that_sasuke]

[Looking away. Yeah, he's... pretty sure he's not going to get that second side.]

...So, you want to change, and I'll give you feedback. Looks like you're set.

[ Kido won't sugarcoat things for him, she would be great at this. Blunt honest opinions here. Let's go. ]

[Well, he does honestly need that, so:]

Yeah? I'm holding you to that. What's your first goal?

[ Kido is not going to let him just say empty words. ]

[ Yeah. It's a bit passive for a goal, but Kido will take it. ]

That's a fine goal. Everybody in this house are your comrades, so it'll be good to talk with all of them.

Is this everyone with a Persona?

[reveilation]

Hm... Everybody here has a Persona, but it's not everybody. There's also... Well, I don't know if you know them, but Airi, and Wyatt, and a couple of other people. They should be here too, but they're not exactly responsive at the moment.

[ Do they still have Personas? who knows, but they don't come out ]

[Nodding.]

Mm. And... same goes for Kokichi, right?

[reveilation]

Yeah, same with that guy...

[ Fuck Kokichi, but also, she feels bad seeing him now. It's actually kind of scary how those sorts of people— Airi, Wyatt, and Kokichi, who were all so bright and boisterous- are among the ones that turned out like that. ]

I wonder if that has anything to do with their Shadows.

...RO said it happened to Kokichi not long after his Persona turned on him. I... kind of wondered if the same thing would happen to me.

[And yet did absolutely nothing about this.]

...Have you been struggling with your Persona for a while before all this happened?

[ And is that why he's been hiding out in the Velvet Room, because his Persona can't come out in there ]

[S-sort of...]

...Since the full moon. I've been avoiding using it since then.

[Why bother with going out during Lockdown when you can just chill in the Velvet Room, right!!]

Since last month's full moon...? You've been getting through the dungeons at the school and in the lake without your Persona?

[ Amazing. Sasuke's fearsome and Kido is impressed ]

[not_that_sasuke]

When I have to go into the dungeons, I just try to hide instead of fight.

[Much less impressive.]

[reveilation]

Oh.

[ Yeah, that's kind of disappointing ]

Well, that's mostly what I do, too. I can sneak by all of the Shadows with no problem, and if needed, one stab from behind will bring them down. I'm not too keen on fighting more than one at a time, though.

[not_that_sasuke]

It's the same with me. I know a few things about fighting, but getting stuck by yourself against a group is pretty much the worst case scenario.

[Ninja are more about stealth and infiltration than head on fighting for a reason.]

[reveilation]

[ It's the smarter way to fight, Kido agrees. ]

Still, it's best to go with at least one other person, when you're down there in the dungeon. If Minato or Souji weren't able to tell us as quick as they did, I wonder how long it would have taken to reach you?

[Oh, he uh.

He goes quiet at that part, because not being found out was actually kind of the plan.]

It was a rhetorical question, so Kido doesn't think anything more of his silence, at least. ]

Scary thought, huh? If you don't have any other partner in mind, you can always call me. Since we're both used to going through the dungeons without drawing attention, it might work easier for the two of us together.

Yeah. My Persona has a few spells now, so maybe they'll be useful.

[You know, the. The ones it used on Kido and Terry.]

[ Oh yeah, she definitely remembers. Sasuke's shadow was a pain in the ass to take down, so she thinks he'll definitely be an asset in any battle. ]

Your Persona will definitely be useful. We'll figure out a way to make things work between us.
