[open] 11/9 hirajiro mystery gang
[ Over the past week and a half, either Kido or Akira have been going around asking Persona users to attend a meeting at noon on the 9th, with the meeting place being the first floor of the castle in the forest. People who Kido thinks will require dragging to the castle, she makes sure to find and drag over, since she wants everybody to be there in order to share their thoughts and get everybody on the same page. It's rare that everybody comes together like this, so she wants to make the most of it.
There isn't much in the way of furniture and the fridge in the Velvet Room is broken, so Kido can't rely on the kitchen to cook unending gyudon like she did last time. She'd stuck her head into the train this morning and saw something she really didn't need to see, so everybody else is also banned from entering the Velvet Room until the meeting is concluded. Instead, blankets are laid out on the ground and there's a stack of bento boxes which will be easy to eat while sitting outside. There's around three times as many bentos as the number of people, since she knows there's people who'd want seconds (or thirds or fourths or fourteenths... there's a limited amount this time, so no eating contests!!) and if there are any left over, people can take them home. ]
Is everybody settled? Food is on the throne over there, and there's barley tea and cups on the ground next to it, so eat up. Feel free to go back and get more if you're still hungry, but wait until everybody has the chance to get one first. When you're finished, put the box and chopsticks into the bag in the corner so I can wash them later. The cats have their own food, so do not feed the cats anything from the bento. If I catch you, you're not eating for the rest of the meeting.
[ She can't be sure if there's anything in the boxes that might be bad for cats, so it's a blanket ban, sorry cats... There are quite a few in the area, though, including Kano and Shiro. Kano especially does not get food. ]
Now, the first thing we need to talk about...
[ There are a few topics she wants to make sure they discuss, and then the floor is open for anything else people want to bring up, whether it's plot clues, mysteries people are looking into, general questions to bring up to the group, etc. Feel free to post a new toplevel for each new topic to discuss. Since it's a large open mingle, there may be threadjacking.
Also as a reminder, this month the reward for request 12 (two threads with fourth wall characters) is a plot clue in the form of a direct answer to any question your character may have. If there's something that comes up in the discussion that the characters are unsure of and think the Attendants might know (it's possible they might not), it's an option for getting those questions answered. ]

Oh.
When Terry realizes, he looks off to the side. ]
... That really sounds like a Minato thing. The first one. I think the second one is also for Minato, because Souji is pretty... uh, fashion aware? But I don't think he'd go through shoes that hurt his feet.
[ Maybe Minato was forced into those shoes and zoning out, because Terry can definitely see him do that in the middle of a lecture. ]

So those were Minato's memories... The second one was pretty weird. It felt like somebody reached over and covered my eyes, so I wonder who he was talking to.
[ That's all the memories Kido can share, and Terry will end up recognizing a good number of the memories from other people too, so let's play detective ]
It's been Minato's and Souji's memories for the most part, right? The one with Hirajiro, if it's from when he was here, that means these aren't all lost memories. They're just memories. But why these ones and not... Minato just being asleep twenty hours a day?

[ It seems to line up, but Terry doesn't get the point of it. ]
But in the first place, I'm not sure what we're supposed to be looking for. A common thing between all of them?
no subject
I don't know... Memories in general wouldn't have a common theme besides who's memory it is, but maybe being impactful is on the right tract. What I don't get is why we're seeing them in the first place. They're weird, but they don't affect us after they're done, so what's the point?
no subject
... ]
You're right. They don't affect us after they're done. I asked Minato about the memories and he says that they reach him at the same time when we see them. So what if... the dungeon at the shrine area is targeting the Attendants instead while using eager Persona users to trigger the memories under the pretense of opening up a boss chamber for the Daitengu when enough memories have been sent? After all, we need to get a lot of cards and find the key room too, so that would already be a lot of attempts...
no subject
[ Sort of. Maybe. ]
There's no reason to target the Attendants, though, is there? Both Minato and Souji refuse to kill the Daitengu, and I don't think having weird memories exposed is enough to get them to start now. And it's the dungeon itself with the memories... so it'd be trying to do the opposite? Convince them to stop us from gathering all the cards?
[ Like being embarrassed about nsfw memories and trying to get people to stop. It'll take really really bad memories to affect either of them, though. ]

minato: shrug
...
His eyes look so dead. ]
I think... it would have to be extremely bad memories for them to get us to stop though. Besides, Minato told me that he'd rather us keep going through the Dungeon anyway. Maybe it's just reasoning we haven't found out...
no subject
[ It's been taking two months per dungeon. ]
But the fact that the memories are locked up in this dungeon is weird too, right? The two of them lost their memories a long time ago, before they even arrived here. And it's not like they'd suddenly forgotten about the memories from the time they were here. Like with Minato and town?
no subject
[ ??? ]
That's all I got, but really... going to those for two months...
[ Spare him. He's experienced the similar thing back home 40+ times and it still hasn't desensitized him. ]
no subject
[ Terrence could probably breeze through the entire dungeon himself? But no, he's napping on cardboard boxes like a lazy cat instead. ]
But let's see... The Daitengu is in charge of the dungeon, and can access the Attendant's memories. Either copying them or stealing them away or something. And by going through the dungeon, we get those memories back... But the Daitengu would want to keep us out of the dungeon, wouldn't it? So that's at odds: Does the Daitengu want us to go through the dungeon, release memories, and get the Attendants to do something, or does it want us to stay away from the dungeon so we can't get at its door and fight him?
no subject
If he wants us to stay away, he's doing a really bad job at it, because there are some people who would go through all those floors regardless of what they are.
[ He's not used to thinking so much. His head feels like it'll overheat, so he ends up lying down on the castle floor like o)-( ]
... I'm taking five.
no subject
I guess. But alright, go ahead and take a break, but stay out of the Velvet Room for now. If you're going to sleep, let me take your notebook in case something important comes up, otherwise, try to keep an ear out for anything interesting.

Thanks...

and laugh. He's still doing a lot more than everybody else though. ]
