I - 11/17: early morning, torii dimension (locked to Sasuke)

[ Terry had been a zombie for several days, and in complete stasis, despite the numerous wounds he was bleeding from that have never healed. It doesn't look like he's been bleeding while here though and he finally opens his eyes for the first time in days. ]

Where am I...?


II - 11/17: afternoon to evening, town

[ Terry lost all his memories. Good thing he and Orien met up. Maybe Sasuke also relayed the basics to him too. Either way, Orien got him a fresh set of clothes after Terry cleaned himself in the bathhouse. He's no longer a bloody mess. Orien is being a good tour guide and telling Terry where everything is, what he did, etc. Orien is treating this like Terry has been leading a normal life here. Don't fuck it up. He has glasses on too, since Orien brought that over as well. ]


III - 11/18: morning, torii (locked to Sasuke)

[ Terry regains all his memories. Everything. It takes so much not to lash out and he's started to feel desperate after experiencing the events on the 17th. He hides in the forest and revisits the torii. Please let him in. ]


IV - 11/19: lockdown, fear floor (limited to 2 people)

[ It's a ruined city. If you've seen Terry's memory floor previously, you'll see that it's the same city as before. However, there is no ongoing destruction. Everything has already happened. You'll see three people: Terrence, who stands at a distance from the other two, Terry who seems shell-shocked by something, and... another Terry? It's Shadow Terry, making a reappearance, grabbing a hold of Terry's collar and yelling at him.

It's a mess already. There's a reason this is the fear floor. ]


V - 11/23-25: black cat house, around town

[ A) Black cat house: There is a big, fluffy samoyed dog in the crane room that's looking down at the 30+ cats and petting them with his paw.

B) Around town: And now there's a big fluffy samoyed dog prancing around town that's petting cats again. Some cats have mixed responses to the petting. If he sees you, he'll give a short howl before staring at you. His omamori is completely hidden in his poofy fur, but if you dig through his fur, you'll see a glimpse or the usual red-brown that peeks through all the white. It's like a collar with a name tag... without the name. ]


VI - 11/28-29: around... town

[ Terry woke up inside Toki's body and he is having such a bad time. You can most likely find him lying down on the ground somewhere in town for one of many reasons. ]

It's pretty hard to do any worse.

[ It's one step down from blowing up the world, and that doesn't count because that's Terry not dealing with it.

She moves over a little to give him space, lets go so she can rest her hands on her lap, and is honestly really grateful that one of the cats immediately claims the lap the moment she sits down and there's room. ]

...Do you hate me, after hearing what my Shadow said? Even though they were blown out of proportion, they're my thoughts too. I'm also still scared, though I can deal with it better now.

[overstrain]

[ Terry thinks back to that time as he sits down on the armrest next to Kido. He's not hugging her anymore and also has his hands on his lap, fiddling with his thumbs a little as he starts to remember that time. ]

... I don't hate you. I did think about it sometimes, since I thought the same from time to time. Who'd ever like me like that... and all that stuff because, you know, I'm like this.

[ He gestures to himself. ]

But it's fine. It's whatever...

[reveilation]

...That's so vague, Terry.

[ "Like this." "Whatever." ]

The closer you are to someone, the more it hurts whenever something bad happens. I shut down after my birth mother died. I couldn't control my temper for years after I lost my sister. If I didn't know you or Rei or anybody else that I loved, of course I wouldn't be hurt... that's what I meant by it.

[ It's the fear she told Souji. That she gets scared of losing people or being rejected by them, but it's because people are important to her. Whether it's seeing somebody die or dying herself, being left alone is scary. It's easier to talk about it now that all her thoughts have been untangled when her Shadow came back to her, and Nekogami's calmer too. Back to being a lazy cat like the one in her lap, letting her slide her hand under its paws so she can hold it's little toe beans. ]

I wasn't upset because I hated you; it was the opposite.

[overstrain]

[ The fact that Kido calls him Terry doesn't escape his notice, and he feels a little happier because of it. It's always been the small things that he liked. ]

Yeah, I get that. I wouldn't really be upset over someone I don't like.

[ Even if his relationship with Kano is ???. ]

You sure were a handful when you were a kid...

[reveilation]

[ Sometimes you have to make an effort to change in order to move on from trauma. Calling him Terry is supposed to help something, so she's trying. ]

Ugh... I can't help it if you were a dumb kid.

[ She's going to let it slide since Terry was 12, but he really wasn't. ]

[overstrain]

Yeah? You've seen me when I was a kid three times by now... anyway, you're right. We change when hard things slam down on us. Sometimes it's how we cope... and sometimes it's other things.

[ Terry looks at the cat on Kido's lap. That one looks like a new addition to the family because he doesn't recognize it. ]

Thanks, for accepting me.

[ ... ]

[reveilation]

[ If Kido can accept Kano, she can accept anybody. He sure lowers standards. ]

Mm. Thanks for coming back. I wouldn't be able to do that if you aren't here.

[ Ohh, cat's purring. Kido picks it off her lap and presses its back into Terry's face. ]

Whenever you get upset, and I'm not around or it's my fault, let one of your three dozen cats heal you.

[overstrain]

I'm... not much of a cat fanatic as you.

[ Terry is reminded of Jace, and that makes him a little sad. ]

I think I'm pretty sturdy, so... I should be fine now.

[ He's probably good for another thousand years. This is like renewing some kind of warranty lmao ]

[reveilation]

Cats can heal non-fanatics too, and you're mopey already. "Fine" isn't just not being on the verge of breaking down, you know.

[ She places the cat down on his lap, because he needs something soft and warm. ]

[overstrain]

I just want a break from everything sometimes, but I know I'm not alone in that.

[ He coughs once to the side and wrinkles his nose. Cat fur... he pets the cat's head and near its tail. ]

I should look for other stress relieving activities...

[reveilation]

[ Ichi cured Kido's cat allergies, so she's perfectly fine with cat hair everywhere, playing with the cat's paws and this alone is enough of a sterss relieving activity for her. Terry's bad at sitting quietly and she is not going to suggest alcohol, so there's not much else she can think of to bring up. ]

What are your current stress relieving activities?

[ Besides leveling forests. ]

[overstrain]

[ Terry was about to say drinking, but he doesn't really want to admit that in front of Kido, so... ]

... Sleeping.

[ ... ]

I haven't had much time to myself. It's either that or hanging out with friends.

[reveilation]

Oh, you're one of those guys... Anyways, you'll have more time to yourself now— except this Sunday. Clear your schedule for this Sunday, because we're hanging out with everybody at the castle.

[ It's a team meeting in which everybody's going to be more stressed instead of less, but it's still important everybody goes. ]

[overstrain]

Yeah, sure.

[ Then Terry turns into a dog for the meeting. He looks at Kido for a second though. ]

"One of those guys", huh...

[reveilation]

[ ... ]

An extrovert. That's all I meant. You do seem happier when you're out with people.

[ As opposed to her, who quickly becomes grouchy the longer she's outside and the more opportunities there are to get pissed off. It's the nice homebody life that recharges her. ]

[overstrain]

Yeah, because I like being with people...

[ He reaches over to take Kido's hand. Terry smiles when he feels that it's warm. Kido is warm. ]

Like you. Despite all that I did, I never stopped loving you.

[reveilation]

[ Terry, summoning his bow in the dungeon: I love you, so please die as you are.

Yeah, that sounds right. Kido finds herself smiling anyways, giving Terry's hand a squeeze and standing up to pull him up onto his feet too. ]

Me too. I hope the rest of our time here is better for you.

[overstrain]

[ At least it's not a lie...

Terry gets up when Kido pulls him. ]

Yeah... I'll have to get caught up later. I heard I missed a bunch of stuff.

[ He smiles a little and hugs Kido. ]

... I wanna cuddle.

[reveilation]

[ What was she going to do for the rest of the night... Her plans included staring blankly at the pile of notes without reading anything, and then giving up and lying on the couch next to Rei with her music playing and staring at the ceiling until her brain gets bored and shuts off. ]

...Alright. The cats took over your bed while you were gone, but we can squeeze in there with them.

[ As opposed to kicking them out, because they're not doing that. ]

[overstrain]

For some reason this feels like a lot more than twenty cats...

[ It was only 20 before he left to Kido's shadow area... Terry pulls from the hug and continues to hold Kido's hand and leads her to his room. Yeah, that's... quite a few cats on the bed, but he finds a big enough space so he plops on the bed and pulls Kido with him. ]

[reveilation]

There's thirty five now.

[ Unless Orien ate one of them. She can't count them to be sure, so she just lies down and lets the cats climb on her and get in the way of cuddling. ]

I needed more to fill the void in my heart when you left.

[overstrain]

[ Terry slowly turns Kido around to face him while he's lying down on his side. The kittens hop off, but there's at least two that stay on Kido through sheer willpower. ]

Thirty-five... that's way too many rabies shots and other costs...

[ Ah... Guess he still needs to work hard to be the breadwinner. ]

They're all a part of the family, so I guess that can't be helped.

[reveilation]

[ He sure does, now that Rei can't help out and Kido's settled for a relaxing low-paying job. But she's glad that he's not kicking any of the cats out, and she moves closer so she can tuck herself against his chest so none of the cats can get between them. They still try, though. ]

I'm glad you understand. It's always nice when the family grows bigger, right?

[overstrain]

[ What happened to free time... his Shadow was very :/ about everyone shoving work onto Terry. Anyway, cuddling starts now and Terry is really happy he might as well have an imaginary tail that's wagging super fast. ]

Yeah... I'm kinda worried though. Most of them are kittens. Everyone needs attention and I don't think Ami can do it all.

[reveilation]

[ He's volunteering so it's fine, maybe... ]

Hm... We can adopt another mother cat.

[ Easy. They can solve the cat problem with more cats. ]

Akira's come over to help too, and once they get older, the kittens will probably like being outside more than inside. They'll all help look after each other too.
