I - 11/17: early morning, torii dimension (locked to Sasuke)

[ Terry had been a zombie for several days, and in complete stasis, despite the numerous wounds he was bleeding from that have never healed. It doesn't look like he's been bleeding while here though and he finally opens his eyes for the first time in days. ]

Where am I...?


II - 11/17: afternoon to evening, town

[ Terry lost all his memories. Good thing he and Orien met up. Maybe Sasuke also relayed the basics to him too. Either way, Orien got him a fresh set of clothes after Terry cleaned himself in the bathhouse. He's no longer a bloody mess. Orien is being a good tour guide and telling Terry where everything is, what he did, etc. Orien is treating this like Terry has been leading a normal life here. Don't fuck it up. He has glasses on too, since Orien brought that over as well. ]


III - 11/18: morning, torii (locked to Sasuke)

[ Terry regains all his memories. Everything. It takes so much not to lash out and he's started to feel desperate after experiencing the events on the 17th. He hides in the forest and revisits the torii. Please let him in. ]


IV - 11/19: lockdown, fear floor (limited to 2 people)

[ It's a ruined city. If you've seen Terry's memory floor previously, you'll see that it's the same city as before. However, there is no ongoing destruction. Everything has already happened. You'll see three people: Terrence, who stands at a distance from the other two, Terry who seems shell-shocked by something, and... another Terry? It's Shadow Terry, making a reappearance, grabbing a hold of Terry's collar and yelling at him.

It's a mess already. There's a reason this is the fear floor. ]


V - 11/23-25: black cat house, around town

[ A) Black cat house: There is a big, fluffy samoyed dog in the crane room that's looking down at the 30+ cats and petting them with his paw.

B) Around town: And now there's a big fluffy samoyed dog prancing around town that's petting cats again. Some cats have mixed responses to the petting. If he sees you, he'll give a short howl before staring at you. His omamori is completely hidden in his poofy fur, but if you dig through his fur, you'll see a glimpse or the usual red-brown that peeks through all the white. It's like a collar with a name tag... without the name. ]


VI - 11/28-29: around... town

[ Terry woke up inside Toki's body and he is having such a bad time. You can most likely find him lying down on the ground somewhere in town for one of many reasons. ]

[ Nothing great comes out of being in the dungeons. If Kido giving Nekogami so much agency was a problem, that's nothing compared to the way Kano lets Ala drag him back to the dungeons.

Especially when he sees Terry there, knowing that this is a guy who's just like Jiro: he wouldn't hesitate to punch Kano in the face and kill him a dozen times simply out of the frustration of not being able to escape a floor. Shit sucks. He turns himself into a small black cat and trots at Ala's heels, going around to find cover so they can eavesdrop.

Dungeons suck, but he's always here for eavesdropping... ]

[ This is supposed to be a fear floor, but all Terrence can feel from this place is shame from how stupid his clone is and complete boredom. So when he notices Kano and Ala coming, he swaps Kano's perspective to show the worst memory Terry received: the one with the frottage. Here you go, Kano. You can experience this too.

While Kano suffers through that, Ala can hear Terry and his Shadow arguing back and forth about running away and what good will it do him now. ]

[ It's evening when Kido goes out to find Terry. She thought she should take the day to prepare herself, but it's like that time back at the beginning of August all over again, when she'd paced the hospital halls not knowing what to say or do, and in the end, she'd just gone in with nothing because nothing can prepare her.

So it's evening by the time Kido decides she's ready. She steps out the door, and immediately realizes that she has no idea where the hell Terry is in the first place. Orien, help, this was an oversight... Maybe Terry's phone didn't explode when he did, so she tries calling his phone first. ]

[ Thankfully, Orien brought Terry's phone too. He needed visual aide in order to tell Terry who was who. So when it rings, Orien picks it up instead of Terry. ]

Hello, Kido. We are in front of the arcade right now if you were looking for him. Also, he... seems to have lost all his memories.

[It's a good thing Terry ran out to the middle of the woods, is all I can say, because it sure would suck if this happened in the center of town.]

[As of right now it's been four days since everything went down in the dungeon. Kido and Rei are back somewhere safe, they've been cleaned and clothed and fed and Akira's been doing what he can to be helpful. If they still had an apartment he could have offered it, but he doesn't, so all he can do is offer his time.]

[Coincidentally, offering his time and focusing on helping Kido and Rei also takes his mind off of everything else that happened that night, but it's still raw. It still comes out at seemingly random intervals — just these surges of something Bad — and he just needs to either put a lid on it quickly, or cut himself off from anyone else in the room. That's the safest way. He hasn't been seeking Terry out; eventually they will have to talk, but Akira keeps putting it off, because he's not ready yet. He doesn't know if he can go in with a cool head yet.]

[But while walking a path through the woods, he catches sight of a familiar figure deeper in. And against his better judgment, he moves closer, with little attempt to hide his footsteps.]

[overstrain]

[ Before Terry can even reach the torii, he looks behind him. He smells someone coming. It's Akira. His head has been jumbled from the time without his memories, recently coming back from ego death, and the conflict that arises from his absolute murderous side that hates everything, the world, and himself. Vassago flickers in and out, roaring. He knows why Terry is in this forest right now.

You said you wouldn't run away.

What are you doing?

Are you going back on your words now? ]

Shut up!!

[ Instead of Vassago's image flickering, it outright breaks, crumbles, and shatters, fading before the pieces even touch the forest floor. ]

11/17

[not_that_sasuke]

[He's been checking in with the snake spirit frequently. Thankfully it isn't hard to do; all he has to do is think of the image of the snake, and there he is, enveloped in the darkness of that room, surrounded by slowly spinning drawers, too many to count.

This time, however, goes a bit differently. When he asks about Terry, instead of shaking her head, she murmurs:

"...awake." It snaps him to attention immediately.]

...He is?

[She nods. And, after only a moment of hesitance (Terrence warned him...), he says:]

Please let him go again. I want to talk to him.

[What few features can be seen seem confused, but she does nod.

And just like that, Terry will find himself in the darkness next to Sasuke - yet still not continuing to bleed or any such thing.]

...Terry?

[overstrain]

Who...

[ He doesn't snap to attention. It looks like he's still groggy somewhat. ]

Who are you...? What is this place?

[Toki never saw Terry's memory floor, so he doesn't recognize the significance of the ruined city. It's a generic apocalypse to him. Until he sees Terry.]

I knew there were three of you!

[The atmosphere of tension between Terry and his Shadow is lost on him, despite the obvious yelling.]

[overstrain]

[ Terrence starts working his perspective magic to show Toki that there are twenty different Terrys all over the place just for that remark alone. Toki's perspective should return to normal after five seconds of seeing that.

Meanwhile, Terry is just ??? and Shadow Terry looks over at Toki. He walks over to him. ]

☁ Hey. I need you as an example.

[So that... happened.]

[Akira spent the rest of the eighteenth, and lockdown into the nineteenth, holed up in his inn room. He's been having a lot of conflicting thoughts about the matter. On one hand, he's looking at what is objectively a heinous and selfish act stacked on top of a series of other, smaller selfish acts. On the other... he doesn't want to condemn someone he called a friend to eternal conflict forever. Especially after one thing he said during that, uh, scuffle.]

[But if I tell you the full story, you'll just blow it off as another tantrum or whatever, so there's no point, is there?]

[Was it a genuine point, another viewpoint that Akira refused to see? Or was it just another setup for Terry's woe-is-me justification for why he tried to kill his emotionally compromised girlfriend's Shadow in cold blood?]

[Days and days later, after spending pretty much all his time turning this matter over in his head, Akira is no closer to a resolution. But he doesn't want Red to start realizing anything is amiss, so he announced loudly that he was going to go out to the store and find some ingredients to make an awesome dinner tonight, just to confirm how Okay and Comfortable In His Morality he is.]

[So who else should he find, in the maybe fifteen minutes it takes to walk from the inn to the market, but Terry Fucking Nowell. Akira can't see his eyes, so he has no way of knowing this is any different from the average garden variety Terry, but he knows that Terry's senses are keen enough that he's aware of Akira's presence already. So he keeps his hands in his pockets and keeps walking, several meters behind, cautiously.]

[He doesn't want to have another fight. Not here.]

[overstrain]

[ Shadow Terry sure does smell Akira nearby, since he was one of his victims too, back in the sewer dungeon. He still remembers that time when he killed him, though the feeling gets washed out by the cold cup of lemonade in his hand that he got from the convenience store nearby. I don't know if Akira is a stickler for noticing details, but there's a bandaid wrapped around one of his fingers and a copper wire ring on his left middle finger. It's definitely not something he wore before and he ditched the black feather clip-on earring too. The way he carries himself is subtly different than how Terry did in the past several days. It's easy to think that this could be Terrence, who's also roaming the town somewhere... probably. He turns around.

Bright, gold eyes shine where there used to be brown.

He smiles. ]

On an errand run?

11/17 - afternoon

[clockhands]

[ after seeing rei, talking to kido, and spending the night somewhere to rest, zen takes off to search for terrence. he just wants... a talk. kind of. he brought harm to rei and somehow got involved in her ego death, so he needs to settle his feelings of frustration and anger. he has taken back his crossbows and sets out looking around town when he seems to have found the asshole. ]

Terrence.

[ and that's the only warning terry will get before he shoots off a bolt. ]

[overstrain]

[ Terry was just having a normal town tour with Orien, and this happens. Terry's powers are sealed, but he barely managed to avoid the attack. His cheek is grazed though. ]

Hey! What's your problem?!

11/18

[not_that_sasuke]

[He's allowed into the dark of the void soon enough, the spirit seemingly curious.

Sasuke's there too - he's taken to visiting with her in the mornings and evenings. He is, understandably, pretty shocked when someone else shows up.]

--Terry?

[overstrain]

[ He's here. This place. It can save him. Terry looks absolutely exhausted and immediately falls to the ground on his legs. ]

... Sasuke.

[ He looks at him with knowing eyes. ]

This place... it can lock memories too, right? It can do that, right?

[ He sounds desperate, almost laughing. ]

11/19

[It's morning again. And once again, Sasuke is here to spend some time with the spirit.

Boy, it sure would suck if they got another visitor.]

[ Hiii it's a meeee shadow terry

aka Shadow Terry is here and since he doesn't intend to harm the snake spirit or destroy the torii either, he's been allowed in. Thanks, snake spirit. ]

Oh. With how many times you're here, you might as well be its guardian itself.

[ His eyes flash gold. ]

11/20 yo shadow terry, get over here

[reveilation]

[ The entirety of yesterday was likely spent asleep, crashing on the couch and being a zombie alongside Rei and Hibiki, but she's up on the 20th because she can't sit around doing nothing anymore. It feels like the world's holding its breath and, in this moment of reprieve, she has to decide what to do with herself.

Which means getting a job now that hunting Shadows for income has a huge question mark attached to it... so the 20th is when Kido walks through town to the occult shop, knowing that they sometimes hire people to help out around the store. It's easy work with low pay, but she doesn't need a lot of money, with the garden there and Rei not vacuuming everything up as usual, and she gets to snoop around what makes this couple so different from the rest of the townspeople. ]

[overstrain]

[ Shadow Terry come to the occult shop one night and he's there to pawn off some tengu masks and healing leaves. He won't just sit around when no one is available, so this is the next best thing. ]

That should be enough for a lemonade... Hm?

[ He looks up and. Oh. It's the one person that a part of him doesn't want to see, and another part that wanted to. He is turning away once he gets the money and leaving. Bye. ]

11/21 - wildcard

[cicadashell]

[There was too much going on with the Daitengu to bother with this earlier and Terry was MIA for a while. Now, Jiro catches sight of him and he's striding over determinedly, with the sole intention of punching Terry in the face.]

[overstrain]

[ Shadow Terry smells Jiro coming this way while he's just kinda chilling on a park bench. He's... not sure if it's a good sign to see Jiro right now, so he looks warily at him. He doesn't think that Jiro would give any answers that he's looking for either. His gold eyes look up at him. ]

... What are you looking so scary for?

[reveilation]

[ Kido has been wanting to punch Terry for a whole week now. Where is he? Does he ever come home? Is Kido going to have to hunt him down? Because she will. She gives the Shadow a Look any time she manages to spot him, because why are your eyes still gold, do something about that. ]

[overstrain]

[ Maybe if Kido wears a mask of happiness over her scary face, she'd probably attract Terry a lot better...

Kidding aside, it's night and he knocks on the door... His neck and chest area are splattered with blood because of this and since time is fake, here he is, not having a chance to change his clothes. His eyes are no longer gold, but he's really nervous and bracing himself for whatever punches he'll get along with lots of screaming. ]

[Well, here's a Rio wandering around town! She looks kind of down, and has since the encounter with the Daitengu.

Please heal her with your fluffy dogness.]

[overstrain]

[ We're all down here, Rio... it sucks. November sucked. But Terry the samoyed is lost in the town he should know so well, because losing your sense of direction is pretty difficult when you're trying to navigate.

He spots Rio and wonders if she could help, but notices her looking down in the dumps. He trots over to her with the usual cinnamon smell around him and whines. ]

11/28

[reveilation]

[ Why is Toki on the ground... His shoes probably don't even have laces to trip on. Terry didn't wear shoes with laces before either. They're both such weirdos. I'm just going to assume Kido found out about Toki because nobody else calls her Hana-chan, so she's out hunting for Toki!Terry while Terry!Toki is... attempting to stand in on Terry's job, maybe, I don't know. He's doing whatever. ]

Hey... You're blocking foot traffic.

[ It's the middle of the road somewhere in town. Kido stands next to him and pokes him with the top of her shoe. ]

[overstrain]

[ It takes a while for Terry for snap out of it. He wishes Toki's body didn't feel so heavy in comparison to his own even if they pretty much weigh the same and it feels like he's in some sort of mental cage that he can't get away from. Not to mention that he can't see from one eye. It's like going around with an eyepatch on. He lets out a groan as he sits up. ] That's... [ Who? ... ] Kido...?

11/27 - wildcard

[Even though Red hadn't actually witnessed any of the drama that Terry was involved in this month, he's learned the general details of it all and.... hoo boy. It was shocking and upsetting for Red because the Terry he's always known was so kind and cheerful. He'd always spoiled Red whenever they saw each other, and not to mention saved his life and encouraged him to keep on living when he was at his lowest point. It was so hard for him to believe that the same Terry could be capable of committing the acts that he heard about.

Terry not showing up for the Daitengu fight or the meeting was even more worrying, but then he came to the inn yesterday to apologize to Akira. Honestly, Red was kind of sad that he wasn't allowed to see him because he still hasn't seen the guy for thirteen damn years, but it was understandable why Akira wanted their conversation to be private. So today, Red is coming to the maid cafe yet again because Terry is always working when he's not apologizing apparently. Though at least for him, it's been a very long time since his last visit.

Unlike when he was younger, Red enters the cafe very calmly and casually. Terry might recognize him as the seemingly new-ish guy from the meeting at least.]

[overstrain]

[ Red's scent is no longer familiar to him because of how much he's changed, so he's been assuming that the current Red is a completely different person when he saw him at the meeting. Terry is a butler this time. The cafe is full of them, because it's the butler event half of the month. He's in a normal butler outfit with the tailcoat and all, still with the cinnamon smell as always, half of his hair slicked back, makeup covering his facial scars, etc. Other butlers are wearing monocles, but Terry still has his glasses on, because he actually needs them. He bows in greeting. ]
