I - 11/17: early morning, torii dimension (locked to Sasuke)

[ Terry had been a zombie for several days, and in complete stasis, despite the numerous wounds he was bleeding from that have never healed. It doesn't look like he's been bleeding while here though and he finally opens his eyes for the first time in days. ]

Where am I...?


II - 11/17: afternoon to evening, town

[ Terry lost all his memories. Good thing he and Orien met up. Maybe Sasuke also relayed the basics to him too. Either way, Orien got him a fresh set of clothes after Terry cleaned himself in the bathhouse. He's no longer a bloody mess. Orien is being a good tour guide and telling Terry where everything is, what he did, etc. Orien is treating this like Terry has been leading a normal life here. Don't fuck it up. He has glasses on too, since Orien brought that over as well. ]


III - 11/18: morning, torii (locked to Sasuke)

[ Terry regains all his memories. Everything. It takes so much not to lash out and he's started to feel desperate after experiencing the events on the 17th. He hides in the forest and revisits the torii. Please let him in. ]


IV - 11/19: lockdown, fear floor (limited to 2 people)

[ It's a ruined city. If you've seen Terry's memory floor previously, you'll see that it's the same city as before. However, there is no ongoing destruction. Everything has already happened. You'll see three people: Terrence, who stands at a distance from the other two, Terry who seems shell-shocked by something, and... another Terry? It's Shadow Terry, making a reappearance, grabbing a hold of Terry's collar and yelling at him.

It's a mess already. There's a reason this is the fear floor. ]


V - 11/23-25: black cat house, around town

[ A) Black cat house: There is a big, fluffy samoyed dog in the crane room that's looking down at the 30+ cats and petting them with his paw.

B) Around town: And now there's a big fluffy samoyed dog prancing around town that's petting cats again. Some cats have mixed responses to the petting. If he sees you, he'll give a short howl before staring at you. His omamori is completely hidden in his poofy fur, but if you dig through his fur, you'll see a glimpse or the usual red-brown that peeks through all the white. It's like a collar with a name tag... without the name. ]


VI - 11/28-29: around... town

[ Terry woke up inside Toki's body and he is having such a bad time. You can most likely find him lying down on the ground somewhere in town for one of many reasons. ]

Wha— Really?!

[ Is that an example, or are you saying that he did, Orien??? She's surprised enough that she automatically assumes the latter, and then feels stupid about it. ]

[overstrain]

[ Orien just made it up and he didn't mean to tease Kido. He just thought it would be a good example that doesn't sound like he'd get scolded for?!

Meanwhile, Terry looks worried. Flowers. Terry will remember this. ]

Sorry, I... don't have flowers. Maybe I should have prepared something before meeting up.

[ Like a date?? ]

[reveilation]

[ Was she supposed to cheerfully go "Thanks, Terrence!" or what?? She's already mortified, and then Terry apologizes for not bringing flowers and she wants to turn around and go home. ]

No... I don't need anything. I'm the one who called you all of the sudden. ...Orien, please don't talk anymore unless I ask you something.

[ She loves you but also she almost had a heart attack back there. ]

[ Yes. LOL. Orien just coils up on the bench and lets the couple have their alone time. ]

Hey, Kido...

[ He doesn't sound all that happy anymore. ]

... I did something that I can't take back, didn't I? I've been getting that kind of feeling--not just from you, but from other people too. And it's weird, since I don't remember... and if I apologize now, it won't mean anything because I won't know what I'm apologizing for.

[overstrain]

I want to make it up to you though.

[ He grabs Kido's hands with his own two hands. He looks determined. ]

I'll do anything! As long as it's reasonable.

[reveilation]

[ Her shoulders jump in surprise when he takes her hands, and she reflexively squeezes back before loosening her grip. ]

I... Yeah. You royally messed up and I came here to punch you for it, but if you don't remember, there's no point in me doing that, or you apologizing. Even making it up to me, that's not on you. If you really want to help make amends, then you need to remember everything. And then I can punch you.

[ She still really wants to punch him. But not him him. The Terry that made her angry and broke her heart, not the one standing in front her right now, holding her hands and making promises she doesn't know he'll keep. ]

[overstrain]

[ ...

Terry lets go of Kido's hands. ]

Maybe... you shouldn't see me anymore. I don't know if I'll ever get my memories back, and I don't want to keep reminding you of what I did just by my existence alone.

[reveilation]

[ Kido frowns, and grabs them back. You are not denying her punches, mister. ]

Don't be stupid. You're not running way from this and I'm not giving up on you either. I'll help you get them back, and then you don't have to go around being blamed for something you can't remember either. You'll remember, and you'll fix things, and then you'll be able to move on.

[ And then she can sock him. Kido turns to Orien, checking that he's not asleep or anything. She's going to need his help too. ]

What places have you gone to so far? Has he been to the maid cafe? Put on a dress?

[ This seems like a memory-triggering thing to do. ]

[ ... ... ...

Terry is speechless for a second. ]

Did you... want to see me in a dress...? You don't have to make excuses for it, but I don't think I'll look good in it.

[ Now it's Orien's turn to be speechless. ]

[reveilation]

[ ...Kido looks at Orien, because maybe she should have asked him what Terry knows first, rather than where he's been. His workplace should have been a big deal?? This isn't a big deal. ]

Yeah. You look ridiculous in it, but I want to see you in a dress.

[ She takes his hand and drags him to the cafe anyways. ]

[overstrain]

[ Orien already told Terry that he worked at the cafe, but not in a dress... maybe that's where he made a mistake. Orien won't say anything though, because he'll let Kido have her fun... or whatever this is supposed to be. ]

Why?! I'm not into that!!

[ He is yelling that in the streets now... ]

[reveilation]

[ Whoops. Oh well. With a flash of red eyes, nobody else can see them and Terry can scream all he wants and nobody will hear him or help him. ]

Hm? It's to help you get your memories back. Didn't you also want to make things up to me? This isn't an unreasonable request.

[overstrain]

But you said there was nothing I could do because I don't remember anything!

[ Orien just quietly slips into Terry's hoodie pocket. Give him a free ride, peasant. ]

[reveilation]

I said you don't have to make things up to me.

[ She cannot believe how much she talked and what Terry got out of it was "oh nothing i can do about this ig" ]

But your memories are your responsibility. Even if you don't remember, aren't you still the same person as you were in the past? Do this for the you of the past. Put on a dress.

[overstrain]

I'm starting to... not like the me in the past.

[ This feels like extortion for some reason. He only has whatever is left of his dignity. ]

But I guess that's everyone, right...

[ He looks resigned and follows Kido to the cafe. ]

[reveilation]

...Yeah.

[ Nobody likes who they are in the past. But that's a good thing: it means you're constantly improving, fixing things here and there, always growing towards somebody you can be proud of being.

Kido readjusts her grip on Terry's hand so she can lace their fingers, but she's still pulling him along instead of letting it be a leisurely stroll. It's because she actually knows where the cafe is now, having to work there before too. ]

It sucks, huh? There being somebody everybody expects you to be, but the person is a stranger and you don't like them at all. But that's something to confront, not run away from. I'll be here too.

[overstrain]

You will? I thought you didn't like me.

[ With how much she was talking about wanting to punch him and stuff.

The cafe is open! And Natsuki, the coworker with the amazing makeup skills, greets them at the entrance.

"Araaaa couples shouldn't be coming to a maid cafe of all places! I heard you two snuck into the break room to make out and leave." ]

[reveilation]

I'm mad at you, but it's not like I don't—

[ SHE IMMEDIATELY WANTS TO LEAVE THE CAFE god

Terry's hand gets crushed in a death grip because of how she's holding his hand, feeling her face go red and shaking her head vehemently as if to shake the color off her face. ]

You heard wrong! We didn't do anything like that, and, anyways, Terrence is here to help out since you're short on maids. I'm just a customer. I'm requesting him specifically, and he's going to buy me cake.

[overstrain]

[ "If you wanted to roleplay, you can do that at home... and he already took a paid leave! It's not like he can just suddenly come back to serve one customer and leave again! Do your roleplaying at home!"

Meanwhile, Terry has no idea what's going on, so he just stands there, wincing in pain because his hand hurts. ]

[reveilation]

[ Kido turns to Terry and gives him a look like "Why are you on leave?" but none of that translates. This cafe is bad news. She goes back to hating this place. ]

Fine. Come on, Terrence, we're going to find a clothing store. And then we're buying cake somewhere else.

[ She is dead set on roleplaying this. It's such a Terry thing, nobody else does this but him, he's got to remember by the end of it. ]

[overstrain]

[ Orien had to put Terry on paid leave because he was missing... Terry finds this to be such a weird situation that he still doesn't know what to say except-- ]

My hand... hurts...

[reveilation]

Oh.

[ Kido lets go of his hand completely, and takes his wrist instead. There is no sorry...

She's too busy trying to remember which store it was that they went to before, to buy hoodies and play dress up and there must be something resembling a maid outfit in there. A poofy black dress with a white apron. She can find the pieces to make it work. ]

Alright, we'll go here. I think I sort of know your sizes, so just wait inside the dressing room with Orien and I'll toss things over.

[overstrain]

[ Terry stands for several seconds before going off to find the dressing room and sits. ]

Orien... why did I wear a dress?

[ "Because you were a hardworking family man." ]

I had a family?

[ "Yes, it was a nice little family."

... It was. The past tense doesn't slip by Terry's notice. His face falls.

"What do you think of Kido?" ]

She's... really determined. It's kinda amazing. She really wants me to remember. Maybe it's to help her find closure, but I can sense there's a lot of motivation within her.

... But I can't help but feel unwanted somehow.

[reveilation]

[ She has to find bits and pieces of the outfit to throw together, a two piece dress and apron, long knee socks and heels. It's been too long and she never goes clothes shopping with Terry, so she has to guess his sizes based off what she remembers— where his hand hangs when she always reached for it, how high his shoulder is when she leaned against it, how she catches the side of his face whenever she turns to look at him.

These turn out to be very unreliable measurements, so in the end, she just finds her size and goes the next size up, two sizes for shoes because he's taller and also a boy so that's probably +2 sizes, maybe. Everything gets tossed over the door when she's done. ]
