I - 11/17: early morning, torii dimension (locked to Sasuke)

[ Terry had been a zombie for several days, and in complete stasis, despite the numerous wounds he was bleeding from that have never healed. It doesn't look like he's been bleeding while here though and he finally opens his eyes for the first time in days. ]

Where am I...?


II - 11/17: afternoon to evening, town

[ Terry lost all his memories. Good thing he and Orien met up. Maybe Sasuke also relayed the basics to him too. Either way, Orien got him a fresh set of clothes after Terry cleaned himself in the bathhouse. He's no longer a bloody mess. Orien is being a good tour guide and telling Terry where everything is, what he did, etc. Orien is treating this like Terry has been leading a normal life here. Don't fuck it up. He has glasses on too, since Orien brought that over as well. ]


III - 11/18: morning, torii (locked to Sasuke)

[ Terry regains all his memories. Everything. It takes so much not to lash out and he's started to feel desperate after experiencing the events on the 17th. He hides in the forest and revisits the torii. Please let him in. ]


IV - 11/19: lockdown, fear floor (limited to 2 people)

[ It's a ruined city. If you've seen Terry's memory floor previously, you'll see that it's the same city as before. However, there is no ongoing destruction. Everything has already happened. You'll see three people: Terrence, who stands at a distance from the other two, Terry who seems shell-shocked by something, and... another Terry? It's Shadow Terry, making a reappearance, grabbing a hold of Terry's collar and yelling at him.

It's a mess already. There's a reason this is the fear floor. ]


V - 11/23-25: black cat house, around town

[ A) Black cat house: There is a big, fluffy samoyed dog in the crane room that's looking down at the 30+ cats and petting them with his paw.

B) Around town: And now there's a big fluffy samoyed dog prancing around town that's petting cats again. Some cats have mixed responses to the petting. If he sees you, he'll give a short howl before staring at you. His omamori is completely hidden in his poofy fur, but if you dig through his fur, you'll see a glimpse or the usual red-brown that peeks through all the white. It's like a collar with a name tag... without the name. ]


VI - 11/28-29: around... town

[ Terry woke up inside Toki's body and he is having such a bad time. You can most likely find him lying down on the ground somewhere in town for one of many reasons. ]

[ Nothing great comes out of being in the dungeons. If Kido giving Nekogami so much agency was a problem, that's nothing compared to the way Kano lets Ala drag him back to the dungeons.

Especially when he sees Terry there, knowing that this is a guy who's just like Jiro: he wouldn't hesitate to punch Kano in the face and kill him a dozen times simply out of the frustration of not being able to escape a floor. Shit sucks. He turns himself into a small black cat and trots at Ala's heels, going around to find cover so they can eavesdrop.

Dungeons suck, but he's always here for eavesdropping... ]

[ It's evening when Kido goes out to find Terry. She thought she should take the day to prepare herself, but it's like that time back at the beginning of August all over again, when she'd paced the hospital halls not knowing what to say or do, and in the end, she'd just gone in with nothing because nothing can prepare her.

So it's evening by the time Kido decides she's ready. She steps out the door, and immediately realizes that she has no idea where the hell Terry is in the first place. Orien, help, this was an oversight... Maybe Terry's phone didn't explode when he did, so she tries calling his phone first. ]

[overdrain]

[ This is supposed to be a fear floor, but all Terrence can feel from this place is shame from how stupid his clone is and complete boredom. So when he notices Kano and Ala coming, he swaps Kano's perspective to show the worst memory Terry received: the one with the frottage. Here you go, Kano. You can experience this too.

While Kano suffers through that, Ala can hear Terry and his Shadow arguing back and forth about running away and what good will it do him now. ]

[ Thankfully, Orien brought Terry's phone too. He needed visual aide in order to tell Terry who was who. So when it rings, Orien picks it up instead of Terry. ]

Hello, Kido. We are in front of the arcade right now if you were looking for him. Also, he... seems to have lost all his memories.

[It's a good thing Terry ran out to the middle of the woods, is all I can say, because it sure would suck if this happened in the center of town.]

[As of right now it's been four days since everything went down in the dungeon. Kido and Rei are back somewhere safe, they've been cleaned and clothed and fed and Akira's been doing what he can to be helpful. If they still had an apartment he could have offered it, but he doesn't, so all he can do is offer his time.]

[Coincidentally, offering his time and focusing on helping Kido and Rei also takes his mind off of everything else that happened that night, but it's still raw. It still comes out at seemingly random intervals — just these surges of something Bad — and he just needs to either put a lid on it quickly, or cut himself off from anyone else in the room. That's the safest way. He hasn't been seeking Terry out; eventually they will have to talk, but Akira keeps putting it off, because he's not ready yet. He doesn't know if he can go in with a cool head yet.]

[But while walking a path through the woods, he catches sight of a familiar figure deeper in. And against his better judgment, he moves closer, with little attempt to hide his footsteps.]

[ Before Terry can even reach the torii, he looks behind him. He smells someone coming. It's Akira. His head has been jumbled from the time without his memories, recently coming back from ego death, and the conflict that arises from his absolute murderous side that hates everything, the world, and himself. Vassago flickers in and out, roaring. He knows why Terry is in this forest right now.

You said you wouldn't run away.

What are you doing?

Are you going back on your words now? ]

Shut up!!

[ Instead of Vassago's image flickering, it outright breaks, crumbles, and shatters, fading before the pieces even touch the forest floor. ]

[reveilation]

...Huh? Did his brain not get put back together properly?

[ What's the point of meeting if he can't remember anything!! She's already wasted a whole day, though, so she finds herself turning to head to the arcade anyways, wondering if it's because she brought home so much blood with her that'd soaked into her clothes that that was part of Terry's brain and couldn't get pulled back together and— no, that's stupid. ]

If you can wait a bit for me, I'll be there soon. Do you know what happened?

[infiltrationtools]

[So, it's already going great.]

[Akira can't hear what Vassago is saying, but he can clearly see the Persona as it attempts to manifest, and then subsequently cracks. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what that's supposed to represent. After literally everything that happened, after all the pain and hardship he went through in his own dungeon and all the pain he caused Kido and her Shadow, he's just screaming at his own subconscious to shut up while he goes off and broods in the middle of the woods? And now he's gone and cracked the goddamn thing?]

[Yeah. Okay.]

[Akira walks closer. His hands are in his pockets.]

Usually when they say things, it's worth listening to.

I found him in the forest, but that's all I know. He said he was sleeping for a while and that seems to be all he knows.

[ "Am I really meeting her? I'm kinda nervous..."

It's Terry's voice. ]

You'll be fine.

[ Maybe. ]

[overstrain]

[ Terry looks over his shoulder when Akira speaks. He looks like he's going to kill someone, but hasn't decided how he would kill them just yet. But he doesn't move. ]

What do you want? Stay away from me. Not even that scapegoat will save you if you don't.

[reveilation]

[ "I found him in the forest" just makes it sound like Terry was a lost dog that got picked up, haha...

Kido can't believe Terry loses his memories and goes to sleeping in the forest like Kido always told him not to do when they first met. God... She rubs a hand over her face, feeling her heart squeeze hearing Terry's voice again, but she can't place what emotion it is. He's not the one who should be nervous. ]

...I'll see you soon.

[ Which still takes maybe fifteen minutes, because it's not like Kido ever goes to the arcade aside from the one time with Terry. ]

Wouldn't be the first time you killed me, would it, Terry?

[And that's just a statement of fact. The threat serves only to make him dig in his heels more.]

I came here to ask you what the fuck you were hoping to accomplish with that Shadow, but I guess you're more wrapped up in your own problems, huh?

[overstrain]

[ When Kido gets there, Terry still has scars all over him like before, but he seems generally okay otherwise, talking to Orien while sitting on a bench, wondering if he could play some games in there, despite not knowing how to play them because it looks fun when he sees other people playing them. He seems so engrossed in his game talk that he doesn't notice Kido coming. Orien does though, but he thinks it's Kido who should ready her heart before talking to him instead of Terry springing his presence on her like he always did. ]

[overstrain]

Take a good fucking guess, Akira.

[ Why else would he have gone? To have tea with the Shadow? For another duel with Nekogami? ]

If the Shadow wanted to die so fucking much, then she could die before Kido knew anything, because that's what she wanted all along. That's what you want to hear from me, isn't it?!

[infiltrationtools]

The Shadow didn't want to die.

Kido didn't even really want to die — that's why her Shadow wanted to live so badly! She didn't want to die but she put that on the Shadow so she wouldn't have to think about it!

[Don't do anything stupid, Kurusu... hahahaha.]

You just wanted to kill her, and now she's going to live with the knowledge that you want her dead!

[reveilation]

[ She really wants to punch him in the face.

The entire day, the entire walk here, she really wanted to punch him. Hearing about him losing his memory, she felt bad because there's no point in punching somebody who doesn't understand why she's doing it, but seeing his face again makes that urge rise again. That he can be sitting there, looking so happy, after everything that had happened. She wants to punch that smile off his face, but at the same time, she misses seeing it so much.

...It takes a lot not to give Orien a helpless look, Kido shoving her hands into her pockets so she can bunch her fists up inside there instead, staring down at the front of her hoodie. Half white, half purple, no longer the solid black that lets her blend into the background. She breathes out, lifts her head, and steps forward. ]

Hi, Terrence. Orien.

[overstrain]

[ Terry laughs a little, but it gradually grows louder and louder, a cackle, to nearly what sounds like an anguished scream. He doesn't know if he wants to laugh or cry. He doesn't know what he wants to do.

The laugh abruptly stops. ]

This world can die with everyone. I've had enough... no more... it would be nice if I just disappeared so that I can stop fucking up, right? It would be good for everyone, wouldn't it?! It would be nice if I go quietly, but I hate it so much that I don't want to. All these thousand years of spite... Haha...

I'm just, so done with everything.

[ He summons his longbow in his hands. Terry looks down at it as if to think, but then he nocks a green magical arrow and shoots it at the sky.

It rains millions to graze a huge area of the forest. We're killing trees now.

Here's your pseudo boss battle, Akira. ]

[not_that_sasuke]

[He's been checking in with the snake spirit frequently. Thankfully it isn't hard to do; all he has to do is think of the image of the snake, and there he is, enveloped in the darkness of that room, surrounded by slowly spinning drawers, too many to count.

This time, however, goes a bit differently. When he asks about Terry, instead of shaking her head, she murmurs:

"...awake." It snaps him to attention immediately.]

...He is?

[She nods. And, after only a moment of hesitance (Terrence warned him...), he says:]

Please let him go again. I want to talk to him.

[What few features can be seen seem confused, but she does nod.

And just like that, Terry will find himself in the darkness next to Sasuke - yet still not continuing to bleed or any such thing.]

...Terry?

[overstrain]

[ When Kido speaks, Terry turns around. ]

Does she mean me...?

[ "Yes, your other name was Terrence."

With that, Terry gets up from the bench. His excitement is washed away and he looks anxious. He always let his emotions show on his face, unguarded most of the time unless he shoved aside his feelings for someone else. ]

Hi, Kido. It's nice to meet you. You look really cooler than in the picture!

[overstrain]

Who...

[ He doesn't snap to attention. It looks like he's still groggy somewhat. ]

Who are you...? What is this place?

[infiltrationtools]

[Tch.]

Keep throwing a tantrum like you're the victim here. Do it.

See how Vassago thinks about that, silence him again and watch your eyes turn gold. See how Kido thinks about that! After you tried to kill her out of your own selfishness, when all she wanted was not to be betrayed!

[If Terry wants to fight, the Personas won't do much for him, since their attacks are weaker during the day. But he's armed, he has his knives and his gun, and he has Mara to help him tank hits. And, predictably, he's starting to see red once again.]

If you're so done, then you should have just sat back and let the rest of us bust our asses to get your girlfriend back! It'd be a lot more helpful than sitting here and razing everything because you can't control yourself, you selfish sack of shit!

[Terry's looking in the air, firing his Compensating For Something Longbow. That works well enough.]

[Quick as a blink, Akira's closed the distance between them, and he's slamming a fist into Terry's jaw.]

[reveilation]

...Orien, this is really weird.

[ Now she gives the snake a helpless look, because she can't stand Terry just going "It's nice to meet you" at her. Normal Terry didn't do this to her. Normal Terry screamed at the bear with her and she can't even remember how introductions happened, but it wasn't like this, nice and polite. ]

What picture did you see?

[overstrain]

[ The longbow disappears as Akira gets the punch in. However, he stands his ground as he punches Akira in the stomach as a counter. Sorry Akira has to be the victim of his punching bonus. ]

What? Are you jealous because I can express myself and you can't do it as freely? I don't even need to have pinpointing to know that you're so restrained.

[overstrain]

It was... this one.

[ Terry flips through the phone's gallery and holds it out for Kido to see. It's the picture with Terry, Kido, and Rei with the cat family when they first moved in, all smiling together.

Orien is still here for her, but he doesn't know what Kido wants him to do. ]

[reveilation]

[ That one. For whatever reason, Kido gives Orien a look, like that's his fault somehow that there was no better picture to show Terry. If Terry doesn't remember anything, he probably expects her to be smiling and happy like in that picture, and he's immediately being proven wrong in the first thirty seconds of meeting her.

She doesn't know, Orien. She doesn't even know what she's supposed to do, why she was so dead set on coming here in the first place, despite knowing Terry doesn't remember anything about anything. ]

Ugh... I had all these things I wanted to say and do but now I can't. So, what are you guys doing? Going around familiar places trying to get Terrence's memory back?
