I - 11/17: early morning, torii dimension (locked to Sasuke)

[ Terry had been a zombie for several days, and in complete stasis, despite the numerous wounds he was bleeding from that have never healed. It doesn't look like he's been bleeding while here though and he finally opens his eyes for the first time in days. ]

Where am I...?


II - 11/17: afternoon to evening, town

[ Terry lost all his memories. Good thing he and Orien met up. Maybe Sasuke also relayed the basics to him too. Either way, Orien got him a fresh set of clothes after Terry cleaned himself in the bathhouse. He's no longer a bloody mess. Orien is being a good tour guide and telling Terry where everything is, what he did, etc. Orien is treating this like Terry has been leading a normal life here. Don't fuck it up. He has glasses on too, since Orien brought that over as well. ]


III - 11/18: morning, torii (locked to Sasuke)

[ Terry regains all his memories. Everything. It takes so much not to lash out and he's started to feel desperate after experiencing the events on the 17th. He hides in the forest and revisits the torii. Please let him in. ]


IV - 11/19: lockdown, fear floor (limited to 2 people)

[ It's a ruined city. If you've seen Terry's memory floor previously, you'll see that it's the same city as before. However, there is no ongoing destruction. Everything has already happened. You'll see three people: Terrence, who stands at a distance from the other two, Terry who seems shell-shocked by something, and... another Terry? It's Shadow Terry, making a reappearance, grabbing a hold of Terry's collar and yelling at him.

It's a mess already. There's a reason this is the fear floor. ]


V - 11/23-25: black cat house, around town

[ A) Black cat house: There is a big, fluffy samoyed dog in the crane room that's looking down at the 30+ cats and petting them with his paw.

B) Around town: And now there's a big fluffy samoyed dog prancing around town that's petting cats again. Some cats have mixed responses to the petting. If he sees you, he'll give a short howl before staring at you. His omamori is completely hidden in his poofy fur, but if you dig through his fur, you'll see a glimpse or the usual red-brown that peeks through all the white. It's like a collar with a name tag... without the name. ]


VI - 11/28-29: around... town

[ Terry woke up inside Toki's body and he is having such a bad time. You can most likely find him lying down on the ground somewhere in town for one of many reasons. ]

No, because we have to start together. Isn't that right, you two? Because leaving people behind isn't fun.

[ He smiles down at them both. ]

[reveilation]

[ They all started together but now they're lagging, Kido wants to say, but she just sighs and walks back before the kids can scream that yeah, you can't leave people behind! if you leave people behind, they can't get ice cream!

She'll do it for the ice cream. ]

You say you're bad with kids, but that's not true, is it? You act like one yourself, sometimes.

[ But she'll pick up Suzume because she's lighter, and leave Hayato to Terry. ]

[overstrain]

[ Terry huffs. He was actually going to carry them both, but he did want them all to start together... Terry wonders himself if this makes him child-like. Orien told him he was 23... anyway, he picks up Hayato, since he's still pretty strong when brought down to human levels. ]

Do I really...

[reveilation]

Yeah. I liked that a lot about you. Suzume, did you want ice cream in a cone or cup, or popsicles from the store?

[ Suzume isn't sure, taking her time debating over the options, but Hayato pipes up that he wants something blue. ]

[overstrain]

Hm... blue moon ice cream?

[ He doesn't know if it exists, and he glanced up at the sky when he let that slip out of his mouth. ]

[reveilation]

[ All three of the others look up at the sky when Terry does, as if the answer will fall out of the sky and enlighten them as to what the heck blue moon ice cream is.

"Niichan..." Hayato looks back down and gives Terry a worried look. "The moon is yellow... Do we have to teach you about the moon too?" ]

[overstrain]

... I know that!

[ oh my god ]

But in English, there's a term called "blue moon", so I just... thought about that?

[reveilation]

[ Hayato shrinks back a little and Kido can see Terry making kids cry now. Suzume tugs at her sleeve and asks "What's a blue moon?" and Kido doesn't know, so she just says ]

Terrence probably made it up.

[ Suzume nods slowly. ]

[overstrain]

[ ... ... ...

He'll just bounce Hayato a little. Don't cry, child. It'll be okay. Terry just quietly follows Kido, because he doesn't know where the ice cream parlor is.

Meanwhile, Orien tries not to laugh because he knows the flavor is real. ]

[reveilation]

[ He doesn't cry, but he does cling to Terry more, while fearless Suzume chatters on about whether blue moons taste like yellow moons, because yellow moons are supposed to taste like cheese, so do blue moons taste like blue cheese? She thinks cheese flavored ice cream sounds gross... but cheesecake is delicious, so maybe it's that sort of cheese? She would eat cheesecake ice cream.

Kido just lets her fill the silence until they get to the ice cream parlor. Do snakes eat ice cream? She might as well get Orien one too, for taking care of Terry. ]

[overstrain]

[ It's too cold for Orien to handle now... rip. Terry is still carrying Hayato while looking down at the flavors. ]

Oh, I want caramel apple.

[reveilation]

Is that an ice cream flavor...? From California?

[ Is that what he said before? Something about a bunch of flavors of something from somewhere. My memory sucks and so does Kido's but neither of us have the excuse of 40k years... ]

[overstrain]

... Was I from where?

[ Apparently it's a real flavor from Bruster's in 2019. Amazing. No blue moon flavor though. ]

But yeah, isn't that it? [ He points to a color that slightly resembles it. ]

[reveilation]

[ Kido gives him a confused look, because she has no idea why he thinks of caramel apple, or why it'd be an ice cream flavor in the first place. She lets Suzume down as soon as they're inside the store and able to look for what flavor (or color) they want from the ice cream on display.

Nothing is labeled, so it really is just color to go off of. ]

I have no idea what that is, but if you want to try it, go for it.

[ She's not as adventurous, so she chooses a white one and prays for vanilla. It's lychee, which is still good. ]

[overstrain]

[ Okay, he'll go for that. Terry points at a blue ice cream for Hayato. Maybe it's blue cotton candy flavor. When he gets his own ice cream, it really is caramel apple in a mix of brown and red. ]

It's good...

[reveilation]

You sure look happy. That's good to see.

[ It's the magic of ice cream, even on a cool day. Hayato's happy with anything blue, and Suzume looks around for strawberry chunks to make sure the one she's getting is strawberry, although she also goes around asking everybody else if she can try a lick of theirs. ]

[overstrain]

Yeah! I feel happy when I eat with other people.

[ Terry holds out his ice cream so that Suzume can eat a little of it. ]

It's a little more fun that way...

[reveilation]

[ If Terry doesn't take his ice cream back, Suzume's going to eat more than just a little. But she holds hers out for Terry to taste too, even though it's normal strawberry. Maybe a nostalgic flavor will kickstart something. ]

Yeah, it is. Being with other people in general makes things more fun.

[ She's lucky in that respect, she thinks. She's always had somebody there with her, even if it's a revolving door of who that person is. She's never really been all alone.

"Tsubomi," Hayato tugs at Kido's sleeve. "Are you moving back soon? I wanna have dinner together again..." Kido pats him on the head. ]

I don't know yet. Did you have dinner plans, Terrence?

[overstrain]

[ Terry takes a small bite of the strawberry ice cream. There's no memory coming at him, but he decides that he likes strawberry too. ]

Oh, um... no? I don't think so. Orien didn't pick out a place yet.

[reveilation]

[ "Oh!!" Hayato brightens up immediately, moving from Kido's sleeve to Terry's, which Suzume continues to lick at Terry's ice cream. "Have dinner with us! We're having... um..."

He looks at Kido, like she's supposed to know what they're having for dinner, and she gives him an unhelpful shrug.

"We'll have whatever you want to eat! You can cook something for us, right, Tsubomi?" ]

I guess... I'll have to talk with your parents to know if it's okay first. And only if Terrence wants to come over.

[overstrain]

[ Terry looks at Kido, Suzume, and Hayato with his own ice cream up to his mouth. He's quiet and looks down at the floor, feeling somewhat nervous. ]

If it's okay, I'd like to go...

[reveilation]

[ ...This is familiar. Kido hands the rest of her ice cream to Suzume, who happily takes it, and pats Terry on the shoulder while she find someplace quieter to talk on the phone and let the parents know she'll pick things up for dinner. ]

We'll all be glad to have you over for dinner. What do you think about having karaage?

[overstrain]

[ At that, Terry's expression significantly brightens. ]

Yeah! That sounds great!

[ Fried chicken!! It sounds like it would be really delicious.

...

He doesn't know why, but he just gets that feeling. ]

[reveilation]

[ ...Yeah, she thought so. And she decides she really hates the feeling of knowing things the other person doesn't know she knows. This must be what pinpointing feels like. It's very weird. ]

Alright, I'll be right back. Suzume, Hayato, take care of him for me, okay? I'll only be a few minutes.

[ But she also pokes around Terry's pocket for Orien. Gotta talk to you too, bro. ]

[overstrain]

[ Something like that, yeah. Terry sits obediently in his seat with the kids while Orien turns extremely tiny to sneak into Kido's sleeve and stays around her wrist while grabbing Terry's cell phone to put that in her hand, so that it doesn't look like Kido just stuck her hand in Terry's pocket for nothing. ]
