[ after fucking off from the dungeon, leaving the daitengu all alone and sad (invite them too, guys :'( ), it's time to have fun. at whatever agreed upon time, the ou hirajiro gang is here to finally get some good r&r. rei has been extremely excited so she's early in front of the bathhouse, holding a bag of her belongings. she waves down anyone she sees. come faster!! let's get this show on the road! ]

[ for things in the bathhouse, there are your usual spa options: a sauna, jacuzzi, pedicures, manicures, that kind of stuff. have fun, everyone. ]

[ ??? There's just a cat lounging around and walking around the spa I GUESS. He doesn't go up to anybody but he just sort of walks around acting like he belongs here, occasionally stealing a biscuit or small trinkets found on the floor like a pen or somebody's keys, but otherwise finds a sunny spot to lie down on and keep an eye on Ellie. ]

Terry picks him up by the sides to turn him into longcat. Sorry about your sunny nap. ]

[ Kano is disappointingly not as stretchy as longcat and he gives Terry as indignant a look as a cat can while he pats his paws on Terry's hands. Like bongocat but there's still no claws. ]

[ Let him go and let him nap. ]

[ Terry hugs the cat. His cat now. At least he's still staying in the sunlight through the window.

Also he drank some sake... lmao. ]

[ Why does Kano only get hugs from Terry, this is so weird. He bats his paw on Terry's face when he gets hugged because ahhhhhhhhh Doesn't this guy own 20 cats?? Go play with your 20 cats and leave him alone. ]

[ No. Terry starts humming to the tune of this song and nuzzles the side of his head with the cat's.

He is so out of it... ]

[ Kano does his best to squash Terry's nose with his paw.

God, this guy is so drunk. Terry gets another ]

[ like he's copying Terry. This is something cats do, he thinks. Meow back like this is some riveting conversation they're having. ]

[ Terry laughs and nuzzles some more while hugging Kano cat. ]

Mm... you're so warm and soft... Cats are so nice...

[ Yeah, Kano's gonna suffer on this end of the hugging bonus twice from the same person. ]

[ Kano gives up struggling and lets himself go limp, mostly out of fear that Terry would otherwise hold on tighter and snap his spine.

Maybe he can summon Ala to help him out... but that would also give him away, and he can't do that if he wants to lead a peaceful cat life. She still has Terry's taser that she kept and refused to hand over to Kano, but it feels kind of bad to jab that thing at Terry's face when he's drunk off his ass like this.

What can he do to make Terry let him go? Maybe he can suggest he's hungry. He hates this, but he bends his head down to gnaw gently on Terry's hand. ]

[ will kano be daring enough to steal a biscuit from rei... she's just happily eating her food and having the time of her life. ]

[ No............. Kano is a coward, but if Rei drops anything, he's going to pounce, it's his crumb now. ]

[ pouncing just for a crumb... love thyself, kano. she will drop a few things as she eats like a glutton, but when she notices the cat, she'll look down. ]

Oh, hi, kitty! Are you hungry?

[ He's just here on babysitting duty, even though if something happens, he can't do anything because he's a cat. Maybe he'll call Ala out if there's some emergency.

All the little things Rei drops get tucked into a zip lock bag and it'll be like the little snack bag when he's hungry later, who knows what the next handful has. ]

[ Rei gets an excited meow. Yeah, drop more food on him! ]

[ i hope that kano is catching everything before they touch the floor or at least invoking the five-second rule... ]

[ she'll hold out an entire pretzel for the cat because yeah, why not. ]

[ He follows the five second rule as best he can, and if it's over that, he'll blow off the dust and/or wipe it off on the side of his pants and it's good as new.

Pretzels at least are hard and dry and okay to do that with, so he'll pretend to be a good kitty and pounce up at the pretzel, trying to bat it gently out of Rei's hand. ]

[ if ellie finds out that he's offering her food that was on the ground and that he wiped off on his pants, she's punching him. anyway, the pretzel is batted out of her hand and it'll go on the floor. it is his for the taking, but she's going to take this opportunity to pet him while he "eats". ]

[ He's going to get punched, because even he can't blow all the lint off everything. Some of the popsicle wrapperes probably have noceo blood on them because Kano just tossed a heart into that pocket once.

He ducks a little under Rei's hand to get to the pretzel so he can stick it in his bag, but pretends to gnaw on it while he lets Rei pet his back but not his head, because he feels weird about being touched in general, but he got a pretzel out of it, so Rei gets a pass.

His fur is soft and warm, but he takes care to look like a street cat instead of a house pet, with slightly rough short fur instead of fur that's smooth and glossy. ]

[At some point, Jiro finds Kano while he's lying in his sunny spot. He's compelled to sit down next to him and start petting. Sorry, Kano.]

[ It's so sad when people are nicer to him as a cat than as a person. This is why he wanted to live the rest of his life as a cat. The plan is set in stone, now.

But he still doesn't like being touched, so he rolls over on his side and lazily bats at Jiro's hand. Stop it. He'd thought at least Jiro would know better to just go and touch some stranger cat. ]

[He's developed a liking for black cats in particular, so Jiro just pokes Kano's paw with his finger. He will play with you, cat.]

Myaaaa~

[ What if the cat doesn't want to play. Kano rolls over onto his back so he can just bat upwards at Jiro's finger with both paws instead of having to reach to the side, and thinks it's really sad that Jiro is that guy at a party who will go off to the side to hang out with the host's cat instead of mingling with everybody else. He gets it, though. He doesn't want to be here either.

...He should just leave. But he has to wait until somebody else opens the door for him and that's a hit-or-miss as to whether he'll make it to the door in time. So he's just sunbathing until everybody's ready to go home. ]

[Jiro would much rather play with the cat than talk to anybody. He hadn't realized how much of socializing had been with animals and not people. Awkward. Animals were generally more straightforward and simple and he liked that. Jiro takes out a cat-shaped cookie from from one of his pouches, and dangles it above Kano's paws.

Is this encouraging cannibalism?]

[ Food will always get this cat's attention, even if he hates eating. Kano sits up so he can stand on his hind legs to grab at the cookie, aiming to knock it out of Jiro's hands like a toy and then pick it up before the five second time limit is up. ]

[Jiro lets go of the cookie and Kano can have his fun with it. He considers this cat a friend now, and will take up half of Kano's sunny spot to lie down himself.]

[ Yo, excuse him? Friends don't steal their friend's sunny spots. He bats the cookie around for a bit and pretends to lose it under a table somewhere while he pockets it, because he's not exactly sure cats eat cookies. Then he trots back over to Jiro and puts his paws up on Jiro's stomach and demands him to move. ]
