→ 11/10 Cetana's Kagepro of November 10th
- Despite the success of the enjoyable and mostly free (thanks to a specific someone) morning at the bathhouse, an emergency closure brings a sudden halt to everyone's fun. An unexpected power surge sends the entire building into complete darkness, and the employees walk around with hands cupped around their mouths to announce that the bathhouse is now closed. To apologize for everyone's inconvenience, everyone will be refunded their admission fee and given a small gift bag. All the guests will have to exit out the front entrance, but the Persona users will be stopped and asked to step to the side and receive a different gift bag. The employee pulling them aside, a middle-aged man with very tired eyes and a mask over his mouth, explains that because they got their admission fees waived, they cannot be fully compensated. He coughs into his face mask and says that he hopes that they understand, handing them a simple and small black cloth bag before ushering them out the door. When looking back at him, he simply disappears into the darkness. Perhaps he had more work to do and ran off somewhere.
When opening the bag, there will be a variety of snacks customized to the individual's tastes, from small bags of chips to tiny wrapped candies to fizzy drinks. Each bag comes with a note explaining that the snacks should be consumed by today because, sorry, they expire tomorrow. The bathhouse sure is filled with a bunch of cheapskates, huh? At least the snacks are good and don’t taste out of the ordinary, but within minutes, the characters will feel their eyelids droop and they’ll fall into a deep sleep...
... and when they wake up, they will find the world around them much bigger than they remember.
→ Option 1
- Perhaps you're one of the luckier(?) ones who retain your current mind and memories while being trapped in the body of a child. You will find yourself awake in the castle, either alone or alongside others, everybody dressed in clothes properly fitting your new sizes. The gift bag, it’s contents, and any wrappers or empty bottles left over from the snacks have all disappeared and cannot be found anywhere, but if you had your omamori on you while exiting the bathhouse, you’ll still have them here, capable of summoning your Persona to fend off bears and other wild animals while you leave the castle and make your way back to town. Maybe you’ll find answers there, seeing as there is no Velvet Room door behind the throne.
Asking around town, you learn that it’s still the same day, the same year, with only an hour having passed since the power outage at the bathhouse, but none of the townspeople know what you’re talking about when you ask about the blackout. The bathhouse is still up and running. What do you mean it's closed? Goodness, it hasn't lost a single day of business since the 60s. The old man, the owner, would rather cut off his leg than let it close for any reason, they laugh. If you return to the bathhouse, you’ll find that it is indeed still open. None of the employees know or have seen an employee with a face mask; anyone sick is not allowed to come to work and must go home immediately, so they don’t potentially drive away customers. You aren’t able to find any evidence of the gift bags either, with no black cloth gift bags in the gift shop, nor any of the snacks found in the stores.
It appears that all the clues have been wiped out and no one will take you seriously. After all, you're just a cute kid with the most pinchable cheeks. Why don't you forget about this silly story about the bathhouse closing and this mysterious employee and run around like an actual kid? Perhaps you should find the rest of your team you know exited the bathhouse with you.
→ Option 2
- Perhaps you're one of the unluckier(?) ones who revert back to a child, both mentally and physically. You find yourself awake in front of the shrine, dressed in appropriate clothing that fits your new size perfectly. Similarly to the people in the castle, you may wake up alone or with others, and if you want to get to town, you’ll have to travel all the way there from the shrine. Luckily, the fox at the shrine is hanging around here, occasionally hopping over to the stairs and glancing back at you as if prompting you to follow it down the stairs and onto the path leading out to town. There are arrows carved into the trees along the open path, and if you get scared, a guardian (your Persona) will come out to protect you if you touch that strange little charm you have on hand.
Once you make it to Hirajiro, you'll be free to do whatever you please, as long as it's within the realm of what children are allowed to do. Some adults occasionally walk up to you and ask if you're all right, if you need any help, etc. and some might even forcefully drag you to the police station to report a lost child, while other adults might just leave you alone, ignoring you as they go about their busy lives. Regardless, you're on your own in this new world. Where do you go? What should you do? Naptime is always a valid option.
→ MOD NOTES
- ⬥ Timelines are an illusion and this takes place after the bathhouse log that took place on 11/10. Let’s not think about the timeline too much.
⬥ All characters will be turned into children with two possible options: either with their teenage/adult minds and memories, or with the mind of a child, without any memories gained past their child age, and will behave as if they were that age. If the character has canonly never been a child, players are allowed to come up with their own interpretation of how their character would behave as one.
⬥ Characters will revert back to their regular forms at midnight when the Lockdown begins and they will fall unconscious once more, waking up as their older selves again when Lockdown ends.

[ unlike most children who are probably wearing age-appropriate clothing that are cute and nice, rei(?) wakes up in a hospital gown and slippers. her long hair has also returned, but when she wakes up, she doesn't seem very excited about it. instead, she sits up by the offering box and looks around. she doesn't move from her sitting position, staying still. ]

[ when she finally makes her way into town, she walks slowly and stays silent. when was the last time she was outside? it wasn't that long ago but it felt like forever. she takes her time to explore, checking out various different locations, but a young girl in a hospital gown is definitely going to catch some attention. ]
[ you can either find her wandering around in her weird clothes or eventually find her tripping because wearing hospital slippers outside? yeah, they're not appropriate footwear at all. she trips and scrapes her hands while trying to break her fall. ]

[ eventually, an adult spots rei and sees the gown she wears. assuming that she somehow escaped from the hospital, they take her hand and try to drag her away, trying to coax her into following by saying that she should go back where the doctors and nurses will help her. however, this reassurance doesn't seem to work because it only sends rei(?) into a hysteria. ]
No! Let me go! S-Stop, don't take me there!
[ she's screaming bloody hell and making a huge fuss as she tries to release his hand from the adult's grip. someone please step in and help. ]

[ Kido flinches and snaps the moment she feels the hand on her shoulder, throwing Terry's arm aside and pushing him away for good measure, tears in her eyes and then fear when she looks up and sees how much bigger Terry is.
She wants to run away. She can't, because her legs are shaking, and if she can't run, then she has no other choice, raising her fists up and keeping the scowl on her face. ]

[ At the shrine, Kido opens her eyes to stare up at a clear blue sky, air warm around her and almost night enough that she's tempted to go right back to sleep— before she jolts up with a start, gasping as she sits upright and turns her head to look around her. The fear is immediately constricting, shoulders stiff and throat tight as Kido gets to her feet, looking around for anybody nearby so she can immediately snap at them. ]
You! Tell me what's going on, right now!
[ She's a demanding little emperor even at a young age... except worse, because she has her fists up all the while, as if she can threaten or beat the answer out of somebody. ]

[ Everybody at the shrine are useless and don't know what's going on... She's too scared to leave too, finding the little bit of shade next to the offertory box and curling up to sit there with her arms around her legs and face pressed into her knees, tips of her fingers already fading away into nothing, but she doesn't notice and can't control her ability that well yet anyways.
Sitting here and crying isn't going to do anything, but that's what's she's going to do, until the fox comes trotting over and pokes its nose at her invisible hand. She lets out a shout of surprise, toppling over onto the ground and scooting away from the fox. It just sits there and calmly looks at her.
...She's having trouble deciding whether the fox is scary and is about to eat her, or if it's okay to think it's cute and pet it. Soft fluffy fur... sharp wild animal teeth... Hmm. ]

[ Finally making it to town, Kido's pretty slow getting here, arms wrapped around the middle of a small ghostly longcat held in her arms, white fur soft and cool as she buries her face in the cat's fur, as if to hide in him. They avoid the busier parts of town, with Kido turning away any time there looks like there's too many people walking around, and she keeps her eyes trained on the ground as much as she does take quick glances up to make sure she doesn't bump into anything or anyone.
What is she supposed to do...? She needs to call home... but where's a public phone? She doesn't have any money to pay for a call either. Biting back a whimper, she hugs her Persona a little tighter, looking around for anybody else with these strange creatures, because no matter how scary they are, they're something that's linked to her and why she's here, she's sure of it. So anybody walking around with their Persona is going to get tailed by a ghost girl and her ghost cat. ]

[ Kido will be a child both mentally and physically. Her canonpoint is after being taken into the Tateyama family along with Seto and Kano, and she appears around 6 years old, dressed in a black shirt and long pants. At this age, she's grouchy, has a bad temper, and is also a crybaby. So like normal Kido but worse. ]

[He's lost. Again. Toki has no idea where this place is, he's never seen a forest before or ruins like the castle. His world was pavement and tall buildings and lots of noise. It's quiet here, aside from the forest animals, and it's very frightening for him. The fox is adorable, though, and Toki follows it to the path until it runs off. There's arrows, but he's soon gone off track and can't see them anymore. He's almost ready to cry, clutching the weird little charm he's found at the castle... when a horrible monster appears before him. It's Joroko and she's terrifying, looking at him with her eight piercing eyes and a concerned expression Toki perceives as bloodthirsty. He screams over and over again, louder when she tries to approach or say something.

Whether it is or not, the moment Kido comes close enough to the scene to see Joroko, she bursts into tears and also starts screaming, terror rooting her to the spot, and plans of keeping quiet and hidden thrown out the window. ]

For like, a few minutes.
He's soon wandering the shrine curiously however, taking in all the details, the offertory box. There's a tiny black cat following him wherever he goes, and he occasionally turns to make sure it's still there, right behind him. He's startled when the fox appears, but when it turns out to be friendly, he actually ends up getting pretty close to it? Though he does take care to keep the kitten away. A small boy wearing jinbei following a fox out of a shrine... it almost seems like something out of folklore.]

II. Town
[His expression is obviously shocked when they finally make it through the forest and into the town. Walking through the trees posed little problem, he's used to that - but this is a town! With other people!!
He is going to be in so much trouble once his father finds out.
For now, however, he's free. Which means he's also free to wander around the town, peeking around at the buildings with obvious curiosity, although whenever it looks like an adult's about to approach him, he quickly finds something of interest elsewhere and disappears behind a corner before they can. He doesn't want to get caught, because if they somehow get word back to his parents, he's definitely going to end up locked away in the shed again instead of exploring this neat little town.
Kids on the other hand will have an easier time of approaching him. He doesn't run away when it comes to them, but he does look a little wary.]

She hangs back half hidden behind a tree, watching Sasuke talk to the fox, who just sort of stands and stares. If it looks safe, she decides she'll follow too, though she keeps glancing over at the little kitten and maybe if it's sort of unsafe— but not dangerous— she'll follow anyways.

[Jiro can be found in town either sitting on the ground with cats, looking sad and confused, and trying to imitate their meows that he's never heard before, or doing the same with crows. He's covered in dirt and bruises, some bandages over scrapes and cuts, and dressed like this. He's more apt to avoid other kids than he is adults and will not engage socially. He won't hide, but he won't make the first move.
Alternatively, he may be wandering through the forest and climbing trees or whatever. He will not be afraid of any bears and that might be a problem.]

[She certainly fits in with the other children, being tiny - but she's also immediately on the alert upon waking, sitting up and scanning the area, expression wary. She's dressed in normal clothes, a cute top and skirt, but given her size, there's just no good way of concealing the fact that this child has a gun.
She isn't pointing it at anyone at least, but she's rapidly backing up and, eventually making a run for it into the forest. Byeee.]
II. Town
[The nice thing about being small is, it's so much easier to be overlooked. She puts that to full use now, slipping around village with the villagers none the wiser.
Eventually she comes to rest at the wall of one of the buildings on the edge of the village. She's still on the alert for anyone coming near... but she's also tired and hungry, enough for her stomach to give an audible grumble as she curls up where she sits.]
Kiyotaka... where is this? What happened...?
[It's murmured to herself, but she quickly goes silent, snapping to attention as she hears someone nearby, weapon still ready, even if it isn't yet pointed. Tread carefully with this one.]

[Because Akira is nothing if not a trash eating gremlin, he starts snacking on the stuff in that bag almost instantly upon receiving it. So of course he is one of the first to go down.]
[Upon awakening, it's still pretty easy to tell who this eleven year old is supposed to be. He still has glasses and not contacts at this age, though the frames are thinner and nowhere near as stylish, and his curly hair is in some approximation of a part. He's still tall for his age, so he looks more like he's fourteen. Since it's cold outside, he's also wearing a nondescript navy blue overcoat and black scarf, both of which definitely look like they were picked out by his father.]
[It's not dark outside yet, but Akira still has no idea where he is, so he's just sitting underneath the overhang of the shrine and watching everyone else. He's not sure what's going to happen when the sun goes down. His body language is scared and closed off, but the scarf hides some of his face.]
II. EMPRESS
[Upon awakening again, the Personae have an emergency meeting. Arsène and Lucifer want little to do with the timid, quiet boy, and all of Mara's offers are shot down immediately, so it is agreed that Sandalphon would be the only one to interact with him. The other three would scare him anyhow, the angel insists.]
[Even now he can hear the boy's thoughts, praying for someone to save him. Sandalphon cannot ignore that, and it is somewhat unnerved that the other three apparently can.]
[It's getting dark outside, and Akira still has not left the shrine, though he keeps casting worried glances up through the trees. He doesn't recognize this shrine or anything about this place, and it's getting dark, but he can't stay here but he can't just walk into the woods...]
[He stuffs his hands into the pockets of his coat because they're horribly cold, and tries really hard not to wish his mom was here, but it doesn't work and he still does.]
[That's a good enough summons for the Receiver of Prayers, a towering mechanical angel who steps to the base of the shrine from a softly glowing light.]
[Akira screams.]
III. MOON
[By evening, Sandalphon has begun speaking telepathically to Akira and explained its intentions as a protector, so it is leading him back into town. Literally, Akira is just walking placidly behind this giant thing who appeared out of nowhere, holding its hand and probably trusting it with his life. None of the villagers seem to even remotely notice the great big metal angel, which strikes Akira as a bit weird.]
[He does not speak to anyone unless first spoken to, meaning he sometimes speaks to the angel without any apparent prompting. It's things like "What's this town called?" or "Do we need to ask for directions? ...No? Okay." However, he's also on the lookout, and will start watching anyone who does have a noticeable reaction to his new guardian.]
[Occasionally one of the villagers will notice a strange boy apparently talking to himself, but he instantly starts hiding behind Sandalphon when anyone gets close, and clams up entirely if that person is an adult. If they hassle him too much, he just books it.]

She thought she could weather this out and stay tucked away next to the offertory box where nobody will bother her and she won't bother anybody, but bright light against the darkening sky catches her attention, and Akira screaming forcibly yanks it to Sandalphon as Kido also lets out a scream out of surprise. ]
Is- is that the shrine's kami?!
[ Or is it a monster. Please be a kami. She's really glad that Akira's there and not her, and if the thing attacks, he'll be eaten first. ]
