[ On December 1st, Hirajiro's residential district goes through a minor change, which is having Terry's two-story house appear right next to the Black Cat house. With Orien's help, Terry bought the land that the house sits on. Anyway, the house has two floors. The entire first floor has a living room, kitchen, and a bathroom with sink, toilet, and shower. When you climb up the stairs, you'll reach the second floor, which has four bedrooms with a bathroom connecting two bedrooms together. The bathrooms can be locked from the inside only. There is no master bedroom nor bathroom in this house. One of the rooms are soundproof, but Terry is not telling anyone which one it is. You'll have to find that out for yourself. AC and heater are fully functional.

Terry sent out a message to all the Guests. For those who don't have phones, Orien personally delivered the message to those people himself. The message is as follows:

We solved the housing situation. Terry will not ask anyone to pay rent, but the house isn't furnished at all except for a refrigerator and a fireplace. You'll have to buy supplies and furniture on your own. There are several conditions you need to accept if you choose to live here:

1) Please do not destroy the house or cause property damage. If you do, you're paying for the damages.
2) Clean up after yourselves. A clean house means no bugs and good standard of living.
3) Do not steal/take anything from the Black Cat house. (this needs to be mentioned because he had several door stealing incidents)

The address/general directions to the location has been mentioned, which is basically next door to the Black Cat house.

Feel free to make your own top levels and stuff. ]

[ Sasuke had an entire torii brought over, but a house is still a bit too much, yeah. It's great, but at the same time, super worrying. ]

Do you think it's weird how it so conveniently appeared after we all talked about finding a shared place?

We'd probably say the same thing if we talked about it a month ago too, nya.

[ Hindsight is 20/20 etc ]

It's not like anyone wished for the garden to appear, but it did, nya...

[ But it sure cut down on their expenses on buying fresh vegetables and herbs. ]

There was a time before the flooding when I brought it up to you. I think I showed you a book? But that's probably a coincidence.

[ And she didn't really know much about a vegetable garden, and was thinking of just doing flowers for her and Rei because it'd be pretty. ]

Terry looks up at the ceiling, then ahead into one of the empty rooms where he sees Minato lying down with an Espeon on his face, and looks away to look into another room. ]

Right... that happened, nya. I don't want to think all the reasons about why all my powers returning if that's the case, nya.

[ Minato... Kido walks over to shut that bedroom door so she doesn't have to see that. ]

It's still important to think about, either way, I think. This is how cults start.

[ This is how gods are born, people recognizing a pattern between giving and receiving, and then it gets blown out of proportion and they're sacrificing live goats to some crow god in hopes that they'll be granted a house. ]

[ Terry gives her a wry smile at that. Yeah, he sure knows all about those........... ]

It sure is, nya... Good thing most of us know better, nya.

[ The windows provide a pretty good view of the outside. They don't have curtains though, but that's their problem now. ]

Are you still going to the dungeons at night? It'll probably be fine as long as we don't touch those stones anymore.

[ Kido goes up to one of the windows and looks down at the Black Cat house, trying to see if she can see inside any of the windows there and how much privacy there is or isn't. The two rooms at the ends are Terry's and the crane room, I think... idk what the layout of the house is and it just changes to suit our needs ig ]

[ Terry bought curtains for their house at least, so every window will be covered. I don't remember the layout of the house either... ]

I am, but I've been going to the first two instead of the third one, nya.

[ ... ]

That reminds me, nya. A crow dropped one of those shiny rocks on my head before during the daytime, nya.

That's... weird. I guess. Maybe it took it from somebody, or stole it from the shrine?

[ She doesn't think a crow would go out there battling Shadows for any reason, and this was before Kano and Ala were here and Ala could turn into a crow and terrorize people both day and night. ]

Do you still have it, or did you take it to the shrine?

It's the same rock that we usually find from the Shadows, nya. I confirmed that myself... but I couldn't pinpoint where exactly the crow took it from, nya. All animals are gone during the lockdown, and that also includes the weird crows, nya. The crows are normal, so it's not like they can lift the lid of the box itself, nya...

[ Where the heck did it come from. ]

Most likely one of us dropped it, and a crow came to you to finish the task, then.

[ There's really only one place where the stones come from, but dropping it on Terry's head is still weird. ]

You didn't have Shadows and stuff back home, did you?

[overstrain]

[ Terry shakes his head. ]

All this stuff was new to me before coming to Hirajiro, nya. I didn't know anything...

Then someone just dropped it. I don't think it's important, so you probably don't have to worry about it anymore.

[ The rooms aren't as interesting as they can be when they're still empty, so Kido starts back downstairs again. ]

I hope everybody will get along in here. Over at our house, we're all friends, but here it's kind of different.

[overstrain]

As long as they don't destroy the house, I'm fine with it, nya...

[ He sighs. ]

Do you like this house more than the other one, nya? It is bigger, nya.

[ Kido shakes her head. ]

The size doesn't matter to me, as much as the people in it. I like who I live with, since you and Rei are like family to me... Orien too. It makes the house feel like a home.

[ As opposed to this place, which she can only see as shared housing, until everybody here comes together too. ]

You always wanted a big house when we were looking for a house, nya... I don't regret getting a big house, but it looked like it mattered to you a lot, nya.

[ Tsubomi "furniture isn't expensive" Kido. ]

[ Beds shouldn't cost more than $100, okay, there's no reason for furniture to be so expensive ]

Well... yeah. I thought we'd be able to come together as a team much earlier, and use the place as a hideout for the gang. That's how it was back home. The four of us had our own rooms, but there'd be space for all nine people to sleep over when they needed to.

[ She wanted sleepovers... you can't have a dozen people sleeping over in a two bedroom house. ]

We'd need a lot more furniture then, nya...

[ He doesn't want to think about finances anymore. Orien was the one who handled land bargaining, since he's much, much better at it than Terry that doesn't involve blackmailing either. ]

No we don't. Meetings are going to be here from now on, so it's their problem.

[ Since they're not paying rent, they should have no complaints about buying enough furniture to accommodate all of them. ]

Oh. I meant if we were gonna have a sleepover back in our house, nya. Though it sounds like fun, nya! I want that warm... Japanese table thing, nya. I forgot what it was called. It sounded cozy when I first heard of it, nya. I wonder if it really feels that good to use it, nya...

[ A fuzzy heater sounds nice... ]

A kotatsu! Can we get one?!

[ She doesn't have to convince Akira after all. Maybe both houses can have one and she can be warm and toasty wherever she is. ]

Uh... what's the right size for kotatsu, nya?

[ Just give him sizes and he'll pinpoint the prices. ]

Let's get the largest one we can find.

[ Who cares about prices? They have to fit a dozen people around this one kotatsu or there's no point. ]

[ KIDO......................... Terry looks so done already, but starts pinpointing and...

The largest one in Hirajiro is around 90 inches by 75 inches, nya. It comes with a futon and it's about h15,000, nya.

[ Terry's surprised that it's actually not that expensive. He expected it to be pricier. ]

That's not bad, right? It'd be such a nice thing to have. I'd never get out from under it.

[ It's just as dangerous as the couch, in her opinion. She's not going to be able to work or do dungeon runs or anything, because she's too busy lounging around under the kotatsu. ]
