→ 2/14 Valentine's Day
- In the snowing days approaching the 14th, Hirajiro has been bustling with energy. Young girls and women huddle together in the stores, discussing and examining different ingredients and cute gift wrap for their honmei chocos, while the boys and men either boast about how much chocolate they'll get or secretly hope that they'd get something special from their loved ones. Bright pink and red decortations litter the windows and doors of the marketplace and large signs announce their special Valentine's Day specials. Amongst them are handmade posters that mention a Group Date taking place at the local maid cafe with a first free round of refreshments or desert.
When the special day finally arrives, restaurants are packed with couples and an abundance of chocolates are passed around, including both giri chocos and tomo chocos for those singles so they aren't left out. Anyone going anywhere as a pair, whether they're actually together or not, are complimented by the locals, whether they're innocent little comments, such as how cute they look together, to the more invasive questions, such as when they're finally going to get married. It's a busy day for the town and the fortunate, or unfortunate, who pass by the maid cafe will be forcefully dragged in by either Rei or her old coworkers. Without another word, they'd be seated at a table of either two or four. Unfortunately, there isn't enough space for tables of eight, so this is the best that they could do. Maids and the occasional butler will sometimes seat themselves at the table to also participate, but mostly if someone looks particularly lonely, so don't worry.
Everyone gets to be loved today!
→ 2/15 - 2/25 Festivals
- The following days continue to be as lively as the previous. Old decorations are torn down and new signs are put up, annoucing sales on their leftover Valentine's day inventory. The streets replace the crowds of couples with food stands selling mochi and sake and snow huts that vary in size. Most of them are small, just big enough to host a small alter with a candle and an offering of rice wine and daifuku for the gods, but some overly ambitious townspeople build a few that are large enough to house entire people.
The town remarks on how lucky they are to have snowfall only a few days before the Kamakura Snow Festival. The Gods, specifically the Daitengu in the mountains, must have blessed them so they may celebrate. For the 15th and 16th, many of the children laugh as they make their little huts and throw snowballs at each other while the adults drink and enjoy their little winter wonderland.
As quickly as the snow came, it leaves only a few days later. Hirajiro returns to its quiet and peaceful state until the 25th. Two weeks after its original date, the Kasedori Festival begins. They're behind this year, due to the lack of volunteers to dress in nothing but a loincloth and a straw coat, but after some "gentle" coaxing, they finally have enough men to run around.
They begin by running around a bonfire set in the center of the town before they split up and terrorize the town, crying out bird sounds as they dance around. It is encouraged for members of the town to dump entire buckets of water on these poor volunteers in order to pray for fire prevention and a prosperous year. Of course, they will shake violently to dry themselves so there may be some literal backlash, but overall, it's a fun and eventful day.
If you're not one of the unfortunate few who got dragged into becoming a strawman, of course, and if you don't stick around the streets during that following Lockdown. Rather than the usual black blobs of Shadows, there appears to be a mob of Warajis wandering the streets, formed from the pieces of straws left on the ground. They screech and invade houses, destroying whatever they can get their little chicken hands on. What a peaceful ending.
→ MOD NOTES
- ⬥ As of 2/3, the Daitengu, Miyamoto-no-Yamazaki (aka Hiroto), began staying at the Black Cat house. Placing a special barrier around both the main house and clubhouse, anyone who approaches the houses and is not a Persona user will find themselves suddenly confused and turn around, walking somewhere else until they forget that they even appraoched the homes.
⬥ All the pieces of the final ofuda have now been collected. With four ofudas, the door back home can be opened. A team meeting may be smart to hold to discuss what to do.
⬥ The townspeople continue to remain in an oblivious state regarding Personas or anything supernatural.

It's wonderful! I have such a hard time reaching everything so now I can finally get things on the higher shelves without having to climb the counter.
[ Which has happened once or twice in the Black Cat house, especially before they had chairs. ]
I love your paintings! They're so pretty! I can't believe that you did this for me!
no subject
Only the best for my Rei~!
[He's getting his confidence back about his choice of presents.]
And it will look nice just sitting in a corner when you're not using it too!
no subject
Mmhm, I can put important things in it as well! My prince is so sweet!
[ She places the box to her side so she can wrap her arms around one of Toki's while she sits up straight to plant a kiss on his cheek. ]
This is the best birthday ever! I've never had someone do things like this for me!

He says nothing, but turns her face towards him so he can give her a proper kiss.]

[ --hey, are you feeling better now? 'cause we could use this room for someone else. I also want to go on my break. ]
[ The nurse stands by the doorway. She just stares with disinterest. There's no such thing as knocking because this is a makeshift clinic and privacy is only really given to those who are, you know, actually dying and in serious condition. ]
no subject
Yes! I'm fine, I'm fine now!
no subject
[ Rei is pushed! Which causes her to fall onto her side on the bed, which isn't that bad since it's soft but that was still rude... well, the nurse continues to not care and just walks on over so she can remove the IV from Toki. All right, if you're fine then you can head on home now. Or don't. She doesn't really care, but she's going on her break so if you feel sick again, come back later. ]
no subject
I'm sorry! I panicked! Are you okay!?
no subject
How rude! She didn't even knock!
[ She seems more preoccupied with the nurse's behaviour than Toki literally shoving her. ]
no subject
[Since it seems like Rei is annoyed with the nurse and not him, Toki calms down quickly.
But there's now an irritation building. That nurse made Rei pout, and even though the soup kitchen incident wasn't too long ago, Toki feels the need to track her down and berate her for not knocking and upsetting his precious wife.
Toki glares at the doorway, and quietly growls under his breath.]
no subject
Let's go home, Tokidoki, and then we can eat everything that you've made for me. The nurse won't bother us there.
no subject
I forgot about all the food!
[And now that the energy drink weirdness has worn off, he realizes how hungry he is. All the cooking and cleaning is more exercise than he usually gets in a week.]
Let's go!
no subject
[ She will help him walk back if he needs it while letting Ananke help carry the gifts. They can go back, eat, do whatever, and generally have a good leap day. ]
