→ 2/14 Valentine's Day
- In the snowing days approaching the 14th, Hirajiro has been bustling with energy. Young girls and women huddle together in the stores, discussing and examining different ingredients and cute gift wrap for their honmei chocos, while the boys and men either boast about how much chocolate they'll get or secretly hope that they'd get something special from their loved ones. Bright pink and red decortations litter the windows and doors of the marketplace and large signs announce their special Valentine's Day specials. Amongst them are handmade posters that mention a Group Date taking place at the local maid cafe with a first free round of refreshments or desert.
When the special day finally arrives, restaurants are packed with couples and an abundance of chocolates are passed around, including both giri chocos and tomo chocos for those singles so they aren't left out. Anyone going anywhere as a pair, whether they're actually together or not, are complimented by the locals, whether they're innocent little comments, such as how cute they look together, to the more invasive questions, such as when they're finally going to get married. It's a busy day for the town and the fortunate, or unfortunate, who pass by the maid cafe will be forcefully dragged in by either Rei or her old coworkers. Without another word, they'd be seated at a table of either two or four. Unfortunately, there isn't enough space for tables of eight, so this is the best that they could do. Maids and the occasional butler will sometimes seat themselves at the table to also participate, but mostly if someone looks particularly lonely, so don't worry.
Everyone gets to be loved today!
→ 2/15 - 2/25 Festivals
- The following days continue to be as lively as the previous. Old decorations are torn down and new signs are put up, annoucing sales on their leftover Valentine's day inventory. The streets replace the crowds of couples with food stands selling mochi and sake and snow huts that vary in size. Most of them are small, just big enough to host a small alter with a candle and an offering of rice wine and daifuku for the gods, but some overly ambitious townspeople build a few that are large enough to house entire people.
The town remarks on how lucky they are to have snowfall only a few days before the Kamakura Snow Festival. The Gods, specifically the Daitengu in the mountains, must have blessed them so they may celebrate. For the 15th and 16th, many of the children laugh as they make their little huts and throw snowballs at each other while the adults drink and enjoy their little winter wonderland.
As quickly as the snow came, it leaves only a few days later. Hirajiro returns to its quiet and peaceful state until the 25th. Two weeks after its original date, the Kasedori Festival begins. They're behind this year, due to the lack of volunteers to dress in nothing but a loincloth and a straw coat, but after some "gentle" coaxing, they finally have enough men to run around.
They begin by running around a bonfire set in the center of the town before they split up and terrorize the town, crying out bird sounds as they dance around. It is encouraged for members of the town to dump entire buckets of water on these poor volunteers in order to pray for fire prevention and a prosperous year. Of course, they will shake violently to dry themselves so there may be some literal backlash, but overall, it's a fun and eventful day.
If you're not one of the unfortunate few who got dragged into becoming a strawman, of course, and if you don't stick around the streets during that following Lockdown. Rather than the usual black blobs of Shadows, there appears to be a mob of Warajis wandering the streets, formed from the pieces of straws left on the ground. They screech and invade houses, destroying whatever they can get their little chicken hands on. What a peaceful ending.
→ MOD NOTES
- ⬥ As of 2/3, the Daitengu, Miyamoto-no-Yamazaki (aka Hiroto), began staying at the Black Cat house. Placing a special barrier around both the main house and clubhouse, anyone who approaches the houses and is not a Persona user will find themselves suddenly confused and turn around, walking somewhere else until they forget that they even appraoched the homes.
⬥ All the pieces of the final ofuda have now been collected. With four ofudas, the door back home can be opened. A team meeting may be smart to hold to discuss what to do.
⬥ The townspeople continue to remain in an oblivious state regarding Personas or anything supernatural.

[Toki doesn't work at the maid cafe, but he stands outside on this day. Rei wants a big group date, and he will get everyone he can to join. Beside him is a foldable table. There are stacks of sweaters in different sizes, but this time they're not for the cats. They're red, white, or pink, with glittery half-heart appliques in the center. Toki's own sweater is pink with a complete red heart. Toki waves at anyone who gets close, smiling and holding up a display sweater.]
You there! Are you seeking a soulmate!? Someone to spend eternity with!? The other half of your heart!? Look no further~! The group date awaits~!
ii. closed to rei (2/15)
[Today is the day. Now that they know they can stay in Hirajiro, it's time to look for a place to live. Though Toki's not sure how to go about it.]
Do we have to find like a real estate guy?
iii. snow festival wildcard (2/16)
[Toki can be found buying mochi (but not sake), and picking out three or four snow huts to put in the yard. He's excited to participate in everything, because Hirajiro is officially his home now and he couldn't be happier about it.]
iv. waraji (2/25)
[They chased him all the way back to the house from town. Toki is currently locked in the bathroom and crying. He has the gemstone from his murder of the Waraji clutched in his hand.]

[ She looks up at him as they walk through town. She figured that the quickest way to know where they should live is to wander the neighbourhoods and see a home that they like. She doesn't know anything about the actual process of either renting or buying a home. Terry and Kido handled all that and she just chipped in whatever money she could when it came to the Black Cat house. ]

[Toki isn't sure what kind of house they're looking for. He thinks it will call to them when they stumble upon it.]
Oh my god!
[Something suddenly occurs to him. Toki unzips his Rilakkuma bag and fishes out one of his silver keys.]
Maybe these go to the house we're supposed to have!

[ If you make the very unfortunate mistake of walking past the maid cafe while Rei is standing guard, you are absolutely getting dragged in. You don't have a choice. She will immediately reach out and grab onto your hand. ]
You're coming to the group date, right?
[ She asks with those big eyes of her and that innocent little voice. It's her birthday month. Don't make her sad :( ]
2/14. ɢʀᴏᴜᴘ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ ʜᴏᴏᴏᴏᴏ
[ If you're one of the poor saps who were dragged into the group date, Rei will make sure that you'll enjoy your time here by asking embarrassing questions while she sits at the same table as you, whether it's just her and you or you're also seated with some strangers. ]
A group date is the intersection of destiny, seeking out the one in this vast universe to whom they are tied by a red string... where hundreds of millions of hunters boil and roast and eat!
[ She is completely remembering that line incorrectly, but she doesn't let anyone have the chance to correct her. ]
So, let's find the person that you share a red string with! Who do you like?!
2/17 - 2/18. ɴɪsʜɪsʜɪ...
[ It'll be an eventful two days for Rei, who has now taken on the appearance of Kokichi, the second person to die from the mysterious illness from December. She'll have a very unpleasant morning when she screams from the washroom and sees herself in the mirror before making the mistake of going outside. It's hard to forget who died from that illness, especially since it was an outsider so the townspeople stare, whisper, and some even outright scream that there's a ghost. ]
[ So, if she spots any familiar faces, she will immediately run up to them and tug on their sleeve, asking for help in a small and desperate voice. ]
ᴡɪʟᴅᴄᴀʀᴅ
( OOC: Rei's birthday is on the 29th if anyone wants to do that, but asides from that, she'll just be around! She also has the 180-degree personality flip for a day, but when will that happen? I will figure out a date. )
2/17
Another scream sounds, and Toki realizes it's close. Not only inside the shop but upstairs in the apartment. Someone broke in! What happened to Rei!? Oh my god!
He scrambles out of bed, getting his legs tangled in the sheets in his hurry, and falling to the floor with a loud thud and a screech. He yanks the blankets away and rushes to the closet to grab... he newly obtained gun. He's not quite sure how to use it. You shake it and it fires or something. He'll figure it out.
Following the screams to the bathroom door, Toki attempts to kick it open with his bare foot.]
Hey! Who's in there!? What did you do with Rei!?
[He sounds completely panicked and not at all intimidating.]
no subject
Do-- Don't shoot!
[ "He" puts up his hands as he takes a step back until he's completely against the sink. He looks terrified and on the verge of tears. ]
I-It's me, Tokidoki! It's Rei!

wildcard - 2/29
He's done some questionable things to stay up all night, and scramble around to produce the most perfect present for her. But there was so much extra energy, that he started cooking breakfast at three in the morning. And now, at nine, the entire tea shop is filled with cute foods: omurice bears, stacks of thick and fluffy blueberry pancakes, plates piled high with cat donuts, a second attempt at a basket of turtle bread with a bowl of chocolate spread, varieties of dango and daifuku...
The kitchen is surprisingly not a mess, because Toki is currently cleaning it. Thoroughly. Things are so clean, they're sparkling. When Rei comes downstairs, that's where she'll find him. Scrubbing out the oven or intensely focused on cleaning the spaces between the floorboard with a toothbrush.
On the counter is a large box wrapped in shiny yellow paper with a pink bow, and beside it, a smaller package in similar wrapping. Further down on the end of the counter is the remains of Toki's biggest mistake in this endeavour: an empty, very large, plastic soda cup from convenience store, surrounded by small bottles of energy shots, also completely empty.]
no subject
[ Still in her pyjamas, she rushes downstairs and is greeted with enough food that it'd actually take her a moment to devour rather than a few seconds and two wonderfully cute boxes! And Toki is on the floor with a toothbrush for some reason. ]

[Rio gets up quite early this morning, bustling about the kitchen. By the time the others awaken, she's already got five little pouches wrapped up in cute fabric. Did she plan her timing to avoid any others who are early risers? ...Quite possibly.
The kitchen is kind of a mess as a result though, and it's fairly obvious from the sweet smell in the air as well as the splotches of melted chocolate here and there that she's been preparing for Valentine's day.]
Ah- Sorry, do you need me to clean up a little?
[Group Date - 2/14]
[It wasn't hard to predict a result like this, which is why Rio only smirks as they're shoved into a group together.]
In that case- why don't we play a game? ♥
[This is probably fine.]
[Black Cat House/Clubhouse - 2/14 Evening]
[Regardless of gender, Rio's got a cute tote bag slung over her arm as she approaches you!]
Do you have a moment?
[Wildcard]
[Come with her for dungeon adventures! Find her hanging out around town! Give me threads because I was too busy dying earlier this month!!
Also, regardless of whether or not she sees them in person, Rio will leave out a little wrapped pack of chocolates for every single person outside of their door, tagged accordingly with their names and a little "Let's get through this together!" note.]

Ohh, a game! What kind of game?
no subject
We'll play a Valentine's style Russian Roulette, but instead of something dangerous like bullets, we'll take turns eating these chocolates.
[She'll pull out a twelve-sided dice while she's at it.]
When it's your turn, roll the dice and see which number you get. And then, counting from the top left to the right, pick the chocolate based on the number you rolled. Once we start running low on chocolates, just loop around once you reach the end.
Does that make sense?

We'll be playing a version of Russian Roulette with these. In traditional Russian Roulette, a gun with only one bullet loaded is passed around and each person takes turns pointing it at their own head to see if they'll be lucky enough to survive... but this version is much safer.
The only "danger" is the spice hidden inside one of the chocolates.

[ In the evening, Wei Wuxian can be found doing some window shopping around the marketplace, looking at all the Valentine's Day stuff, occasionally picking up chocolates, gift wrap, and other assorted gifts just to get a better look. He's never seen any of this stuff before, and is very intrigued by all of it.
He's also got his donkey with him. ]
ii - 2/14;
[ No one is safe from the group date, especially Wei Wuxian. Once he's settled down, either in a group or one-on-one, he rests his chin in his hand. ]
So, let's get to know one another better! Who do you like?
[ Or, if he knows they're with someone: ] How did you get together?
iii - 2/16;
[ Wei Wuxian has both mochi and sake with him as he watches the kids play around, smiling and enjoying the nice atmosphere, and occasionally getting caught up in the snowball fights himself. He'll offer any mochi or sake to any of the Persona users he sees, and might even throw a snowball or two at them. ]

[It's almost a desperate scream. Toki hates the shrine dungeon, and the lake dungeon reminds him of the waraji whose life he took. He's decided against a bow and arrow as a weapon, and has since regained a rifle. He learned how to use it this very morning (because time is fake).]
But I don't want to kill anything! We can just like wound the ravens...
