i. 8/16-8/30: you're half the man i am
[ It can't get any more ironic. The morning after Obon, a box of butter is delivered to Mondo's doorstep. You might...

1) Find it before he does, if you walk by the warehouse nearby the school early in the morning. Did Mondo start a new business? Who knows.

2) Spot Mondo staring at the box of butter. He'll think it's some prank that someone pulled on him. He might visit the Velvet Room to see if the attendants know anything. Or are they behind all of these random items that come out of nowhere?

3) Be invited by him to have some, or for a cooking session. He doesn't even cook that much so he'll probably give it to Terry otherwise, maybe? The hell does he do with 80(???)kg of butter... It says 80kg on the label, but it's light and weighs at most 1kg. However, when they scoop there seems to be endless amount of butter...? ]

ii. 8/16-8/30: we're gonna accelerate till dawn
[ Later that evening, people might notice a large shadow floating on the air, until it finally is dropped just a few centimeters away from where Mondo is... The crows are working hard to deliver it to him, but the fall certainly did some damage to it ー especially since the motorcycle is self-built. He has so many questions, but before that he'll do some reparation work so if you stop by, he can show you how to fix a bike, or if you ever want a ride from him anytime in the month after the 16th, he's game... if he likes you. Then again, he likes a lot of people in Hirajiro, so that's a thing.

He'll also start some delivery services now that he has motorbike!! Hirajiro's first Uber? Maybe... ]

iii. 8/20-8/30: neko neko neko nyaamii nyaamii
[ Mondo is almost scared of waking up every morning because something just suddenly come up without warning, and today is no different. He wakes up to 5 more kitties on top of the one he already has. So now he has to father 6 cats... He doesn't know if he can take care of them all, and Lia the tabby (his first cat) isn't very excited with his attention that are now have to be split among the other five.

He'll walk around the town with them trotting behind him, trying to see if anyone wants to adopt one or two. He'll keep them if no one does... Maybe if anyone wants to help him name them, lol, he's always relying on other people for names... useless. He'll also allow people to play with them as long as they're gentle! You can decide where you see him in town because he'll literally walk around the whole town trying his luck. ]

iv. 8/25-8/30: 8bit tour

So Mondo manages to get a secondhand galapagos cellphone that can send photos and text, also do calls but not video calls! Feel free to bother him through phone calls or texts, he's not very tech savvy but he can text. You can also order some delivery through him... lmfao maybe if the attendants want his services... ]

v. anytime in august
[ Apart from working at Hoshino Carpenters, where a middle-aged couple work on carpentering services as well as some wood crafts, Mondo has his own side job of making trinkets and smaller wood crafts which doesn't have to go through the Hoshino's. If you want to commission him for a gift for that special someone, he's here. He'll also hold some impromptu workshops too and is more than happy to teach people how to make things! Despite the large bara fingers, they're quite nimble.

Other than that, he'll be at the dungeons to collect items and $$$. He wants to save up for phone (which he'll have towards the end of the month), so he'll find every ways possible to get all the dollah. He will still be around even after he gets his kaching because nothing wrong with getting more money! If you want to team up with him, he's down. He'll be in every floor except the fourth, he's here for your Fire and Physical attack needs. He's also gotten Tetrakarn so he can reflect physical damages, if that's a thing that you need! ]

[Mondo actually ends up with an audience member as he does his woodworking; though Sasuke maintains a distance so as to not interrupt, he's watching with clear interest. Mondo is a pretty memorable person to see around town after all, so it's not hard at all to recognize him at a glance as another one bearing an amulet.

Still. Carpentry, huh...? Talk about unexpected skills.

...Though as far as Mondo's concerned, it probably just looks like he's staring. Sorry.]

[ It's his hair, isn't it.

Mondo is just working on a small piece when Sasuke watches him. He doesn't expect anyone to enjoy looking at him just carving wood with the chisel, but here we are.

Having used to getting surprise attacks back when he was in the gang, Mondo quickly senses someone coming up and looking at him. Though damn, his hair's starting to be in the way... maybe he should cut it a bit. ]

Oh, it's you. 'Sup?

[It's totally his hair.]

Just watching. You know carpentry?

Sorta. Nothin' really outta this world or anythin', tho'.

[ Mondo tilts his head Sasuke's way. ]

You interested?

[ He then pats the space beside him, gesturing for Sasuke to sit there. ]

It doesn't have to be.

[Not like Sasuke's got any great skills, either. After a moment of consideration, he'll go ahead and take a seat next to Mondo.]

What are you working on right now?

Just wooden puzzles that some people requested for. Been tryin some new stuff lately ー I usually make bigger furnitures.

[ He doesn't really tear away his sight from the piece until he's done with one side of it. ]

It ain't that difficult. 'm just following this sketch. [ He lifts the paper he was staring at for Sasuke to see, and it was filled with sketches of what each wooden block is supposed to be shaped like. ] Wanna give it a try?

[There isn't a limit on materials or anything? But he does look mildly interested.]

[ A small wooden piece for Sasuke! ]

Ya can see the rough part of the wood here, right? [ He lightly runs his finger over the rough surface. ] Use this [ Chisel ー he'll put it up for Sasuke to see. ] to lift off that so we can make it nice and smooth. Like this.

[ He'll do a quick example with a different piece and chisel. ]

There. Just be careful, aight? This shit's pretty sharp.

[Taking the piece and looking it over!]

Mm. Don't worry, I won't hurt myself.

[He's used to knives, and there's a bit of caution in all his movements as a result. So after a moment of thought, he'll begin picking away at the wood.]

You learned this before you got here?

[ He watches Sasuke pulling it off right away, so carefully and smoothly too that he can't help getting impressed. He'd be more worried if Sasuke hadn't shown such ease. ]

Sorta, yea. Place I was at had plenty o' reference books so I got ta learn a bit.

[ It's an understatement because he actually had his own workshop back in Wonderland. Come to think of it, despite not being able to travel outside the limited area, getting access to materials is incredibly easy. ]

Ya got deft fingers yerself. Ya good with crafts?

They had a good library, or...?

[Something else? But at Mondo's question, he'll reply with:]

A little, I guess. I was in art club at school.

[...Mainly because he didn't want to be too obvious and join ninja club.]

[ How does he explain it... ]

Everyone's got this cupboard in their rooms that'll grant them anythin' they want. [ Yep. ] ...Within reason, that is. [ Yyyyep. ] I sure as hell used the heck outta it while I was there, hah.

[ Art club, though! Mondo lets out an impressed noise. ]

Hoo... What kind? Painting?

[Oh. That's... huh.]

That sounds useful.

[And very magical. Just how many people here had experience with magic before they got here?]

Mostly painting, yeah. I just joined to try it out, but there was another guy who was really into it.

It was. Made it a lil' too easy tho'... I didn't have to work hard to get all these materials I need to make stuff, y'know? Works for people who like makin' things, but 's... kinda lackin'.

[ Mondo hums in response to what Sasuke said, snickering. ]

Ya sure do seem like the kind who'll get swept by pushy people, ain't cha?

[ As if to proof that point, he hands Sasuke another rough piece of wood. Free labour, whoo. ]

[He's got a very simple cat figure in his hands, though he'll exchange it for the new piece of wood.]

I just don't mind doing things like this every so often.

[ Well, that's fine if that's the case. ]

Oh, look at ya! That's a good one. Ya sure have a knack on this!

[ Mondo looks really pleased about the wooden cat figure that Sasuke came up with. Can you blame him, though? For someone who was just thought how to smoothen the wood surface... that's really good! He's a real quick learner! Mondo puts away his own piece then, attention on Sasuke. ]

What're ya gonna make next?

[Good question. He has to think about it, since cats come to him more easily than anything else.]

Fox might be hard... [Too many angles. Too many details.] Tanuki?

Tanuki? Ain't they harder with all the curves? I wanna see ya do it, tho'! Go ahead!

[ He'll sit closer to have a good look on it!! ]

It's easier to tell the difference between a bad tanuki and a cat.

[As opposed to a bad fox and a cat. Too many similar features.

He'll start shaving it down into more manageable blocks first, deftly and patiently shaving away at the wood bit by bit. It's already looking like a lumpy, two piece snowman, with two main blobs and enough extra still attached to hopefully make into ears and a tail.]

[ Mondo hums in response. Sasuke's got a point.

But being able to make oval shapes with the wood is already an accomplishment, so Mondo's pretty impressed - after all, tanuki is round. ]

Yer doin' good. Lemme know if the tool gets hard to use or somethin'. I've got aplenty of 'em. Smaller ones, bigger ones, flatter ones...

[ Watching Sasuke makes him want to make something too. He'll pick up another small piece of wood and begins carving again, glancing at Sasuke every now and then in case the boy needs anything. ]

Mm... I think this should be enough.

[He'll keep whittling away at it! It's turning into more of a polygonal sphere at this point, but that's... probably good enough.]

What are you making?

Cat. Looking at the piece ya made earlier makes me wanna make one too.

[ He begins with the face, round with two pointy ears. ]

I've got 6 of 'em at my place... [ Thanks Hirajiro. ] So gonna try makin' one of 'em. Come ta think of it I've never really made any cat carvings.
