[ You know what? Now's a good a time for this as any. When the Attendants send the call out to everybody on 9/4, Kido takes advantage of everybody being together to give them the address to the house she, Terry, and Rei are staying at, and asks them to meet there on 9/8 at noon if they're able to make it.

The original point of a meeting was to recruit for a gang, but with shit going down and people disappearing and personalities splitting off, it's turned into Kido needing to reach out to anybody who's a Persona user and consolidate everything that they know about everything. Personas. Shadows. The town itself. Anything.

If you're directionally challenged, it'll be easy to spot the house on Sunday afternoon because it's the only house on the block with two dozen crows perched on every inch of roof and telephone line there is around the house, and a five meter wide spider crab hanging around on the front yard, its front pincers bound so it can't snap at anybody, but it still scuttles around irately. ]

Sorry about the lack of furniture... Take a seat where you can find space, either on the couch or the floor. There's rice, miso soup, and gyudon in the kitchen if you're hungry; go ahead and help yourselves. We've got lots to talk about today.

Well, if you need to find anything else, let me know. From how avoidant it is, I think it only likes a certain amount of people. Maybe... kids.

Like really little kids, or...?

I mean... the school house has kids, right? And I met some seven year old in the shrine that was talking to a fox, but the fox ran off when I got there.

[ Terry is no longer sitting and lying down on his back to the floor with his head tilted up so that he can look at Sasuke upside down. Fun. ]

[not_that_sasuke]

They were talking to...?

[A pause, because Terry. Actually:]

...Are you okay?

Yeah? I'm okay. I mean, that's normal though, isn't it? Sometimes people talk to animals even if they can't understand each other with words.

[ He's actually fine. He just feels lazy to sit... ]

[not_that_sasuke]

You look tired.

[Mainly because he's laying down. But alright.]

Guess it's not too surprising for a kid to talk to one, even if it's wild.

Yeah. People love animals here, so it doesn't really look out of place. I just find it weird that a fox would actually come to where people live on its own though, unless it's domesticated? But from it showing up at the shrine whenever it wants, I doubt that.

[ Yup, it's just comfortable this way. Pay no heed, Sasuke. ]

Maybe people are feeding it...?

[Hm.

Though he's still got an eye on Terry, and after a moment-]

[-Off he goes. He'll return with two glasses of water, setting one by Terry's head.]

--Oh. Thanks.

[ He's not sure if Sasuke can tell of if he was just thirsty, but either way, he has a free glass of water. He turns around onto his stomach and takes a sip despite how its uncomfortable to drink water like that. ]

I wouldn't cross feeding off the list, so that's definitely a possibility. At least they don't seem to as dangerous as geese.

It's- [Nothing is what he's about to say, though he amends it after a short pause:] You're welcome.

Geese can be pretty violent, right?

Yeah, they can get really bad. I'm so glad that they don't have geese here, but the crows are sometimes assholes.

[ Seriously... ]

They gave me my school coat the other day. I haven't had too many problems with them.

[But he also hasn't been followed by them or anything.]

They stole my food and barged into my workplace.

[ Fun... ]

That reminds me--I saw a little boy at the shrine. The one that I mentioned earlier when I saw the fox there. He was talking to the fox too and the reason why he was at the shrine was that he was really scared of the crows. Something about how it feels like they're always watching him... I would have just written that off as some paranoia disorder, but my powers were blocked halfway. That only tends to happen on the weirder things I've seen in Hirajiro.

Maybe I'll go see if I can find him. Kurou and I are pretty good at tracking people down.

He lives at the occult shop with his grandparents. I tried extracting information out of the old couple too, but I didn't get anything. It was total interference--not even their age.

[not_that_sasuke]

I'm used to listening to get information, so... I'll see if I can dig up anything useful.

[Ninja skills!]

[ Looks like Sasuke has a new quest. Terry's gonna give him money, whether he likes it or not. ]

I'm not good at staying in one place for too long, like listening in...

It's just what we were trained to do.

[It's not like he's especially talented at it or anything.]

[ Listen... he's not gonna let Sasuke go unrewarded when he's taking time to do stuff for things he's asking for. Get paid for your time, Sasuke. Value your time to be paid for it!! ]

[ Terry flops onto his back again. ]

[Apparently this is hard to answer, because after a short pause he opts to take a drink of water again. Mmmmmmmmm.]

[ Terry may be looking at Sasuke upside down, but he's staring.

[His voice becomes quiet. Less likely for the others to randomly overhear.]

Combat and espionage... mostly.

Wow, you're pretty much perfect for all this kind of stuff already then.

[ Terry's voice also considerably gets quieter when Sasuke's does. ]

What kind of combat? Close-range only?

I wouldn't say that.

[He's super far from perfect for anything.]

In my case, yeah. I probably would've learned more long range skills, but I left my family two years ago.

[So not only did he miss out on lessons, but he's also rusty.]
