[ You know what? Now's a good a time for this as any. When the Attendants send the call out to everybody on 9/4, Kido takes advantage of everybody being together to give them the address to the house she, Terry, and Rei are staying at, and asks them to meet there on 9/8 at noon if they're able to make it.

The original point of a meeting was to recruit for a gang, but with shit going down and people disappearing and personalities splitting off, it's turned into Kido needing to reach out to anybody who's a Persona user and consolidate everything that they know about everything. Personas. Shadows. The town itself. Anything.

If you're directionally challenged, it'll be easy to spot the house on Sunday afternoon because it's the only house on the block with two dozen crows perched on every inch of roof and telephone line there is around the house, and a five meter wide spider crab hanging around on the front yard, its front pincers bound so it can't snap at anybody, but it still scuttles around irately. ]

Sorry about the lack of furniture... Take a seat where you can find space, either on the couch or the floor. There's rice, miso soup, and gyudon in the kitchen if you're hungry; go ahead and help yourselves. We've got lots to talk about today.

So, for our first topic discussion, [ because clearly, this takes priority ] we need to decide on the name for the gang.

[ Kido's really gunning for something cooler than "Hirajiro mystery gang," but she'll take what she can get. ]

[ rei has brought out all of her snacks so people can help themselves. a lot of candies and chips because she just lives off junk food... ]

[Pauses in the doorway. He was pretty sure the meeting time was noon, according to whenever the heck Kido told him to come along, but.]

There's also what happened with Sasuke a few days ago... I was there, and a couple of others too, but I don't really understand why it happened.

[ She knows the Attendants have spoken to people about this sort of thing before, but she's always gotten along with her Persona, so she doesn't really get the struggle some people are having. ]

I've met people's Shadows before. Plenty of them.

[There's a But... in his tone of voice.]

Where I came from, you can't have a Shadow and a Persona at the same time. They're basically the same thing, just... manifesting in different ways. Obviously, that's not true here.

So maybe I'm off base and other things are different from home... but I can try to give you my best guess on what happened.

[ rei's a little antsy talking about this. she fidgets a little bit in her seat, but perhaps she's just uncomfortable from sitting in one spot for too long. ]

Umm, I was told that Shadows are parts that you deny and don't want to admit, so they take shape and then you have to face them...

Sasuke hasn't been eating any of the food, instead choosing to curl up in the corner with one knee up, looking very much like he'd rather not be here. He'll answer if people pester him with questions, at least?]

I'm the last person who likes judging people by the color of their eyes, but... Do you guys trust those two? Souji and Minato. With those eyes, they looked just like Sasuke's Shadow, and the bear in the dungeon.

Leader and Vice Leader did a lot to help me in the past so I don't think they would do anything to hurt us, even if their eyes are all different colours.

Animals

[ Talking about the bear reminds Kido of something else that's been grating on her, and she gestures towards the front door, where that crab scratches at the door and the murder of crows start cawing on cue. ]

There's not even an ocean here, so I have no idea where that crab came from. Does anybody here know a lot about animals? The crows have been following me around for the past few days, and I've been chased by animals carrying knives twice already.

[ Random bonuses hate her, but that's just how things are. ]

Oh, so the crab with the knife was chasing you?

[ Is he doing this to fluster her? Might be. But it's also really good, ten stars out of ten. ]

[Akira lazily raises a hand from his spot on the floor. How many bowls has it been by now? Four? He's slowed down but god they're still really good.]

This World

According to Souji, this world is a contained space where time doesn't function on a linear path. That's why we can all be from different times and places.

I was also able to find a history book in the library, but it didn't have too much. There wasn't a lake to start with, but it formed over time, and the town grew with it. Some of the pictures of the farmland looked like the first floor of the school dungeon...

Most of it was just speculation, so it wasn't too helpful.

Don't farmlands have a general structure and form that makes them seem similar to each other?

[ She's never seen one before with her own eyes back where she came from, so, this is just a guess. ]

Gossip

There's also been some gossip around town.

Last month before the festival, people were worrying about other villagers getting sick, so that's why less people showed up than usual. Most of them complained about fevers a couple days before they stopped going out. I heard some of them talking about relatives coming in from other towns, too - I even recognized some of the names. But I don't know how they could've gotten here...

This month, one of the restaurants got busted for serving imitation fish, so everything's half off. There's no ocean, so that might explain where their ingredients are coming from.

I've noticed the elderly have been talking a lot about nightmares lately, too. People have been talking about dreams where their ancestors visit them, screaming in pain... Maybe it has something to do with the dungeon?

Other than that, there's rumors of a fox hanging around the school house and a girl who goes to the park crying because her pregnant cat disappeared. She thinks the cat and her kittens were stolen. ...Hopefully that wasn't one of the cats that started following people around.

From what I can tell, it's a normal fox that just likes going wherever the heck it wants.

[ A momentary scowl flicks across his face. He hates foxes, but the frown doesn't linger for too long. ]

I'd like to help look for the pregnant cat, but it turns out that there's... way too many pregnant cats in this town. I can't look for a specific one unless they have a name or some other way to identify them. I have a feeling they'll come to my locating services booth tomorrow...

[ And he sighs. ]

[Red quietly slips into the meeting area at around 2:30pm with his usual +1, Pikachu, and takes a seat in a nice secluded corner. He feels pretty unsure about being here, especially since he showed up so late and probably won’t contribute to any discussions, but... just listening in on everyone’s lively conversations is a little fun, at least. Just a little. People watching is especially interesting when you know everyone in the room. Pikachu is also observing the proceedings with a bright expression on his face, though remains loyally at his shy trainer’s side.

Today also happens to be Red’s 15th birthday, but he doesn’t plan on disclosing this fact to anyone. Come say hi to this loser and/or his adorable friend, or be a wallflower with him.]

Except, it kinda is someone's business. Terry knows that it's Red's birthday. Pinpointing is so handy at times like these, especially for quiet people. He ran off earlier to get half off seafood meals from a restaurant and he hands Red some crab meat on a plate with assorted seafood, meat, and rice with the proper eating utensils. ]

[Awkward wallflower wave from the corner. Kurou's curled around his shoulders, because apparently we're sticking close to Sasuke after what he pulled with the Shadow business.]

[ Kido doesn't pay Red any mind other than waving to Pikachu when they arrive, until Terry outs today as being Red's birthday and Kido immediately drops everything to stare at him. ]

[Hello Red, I really hope you like miso soup and gyudon, because Akira descends upon you with bowls of both (two bowls of soup, actually, one is for Pikachu) as soon as he notices your presence. Does Akira just bring food to everyone? Yes, that's pretty much what he does.]

[He slides down the wall with his back against it, landing somewhere next to the two of them after the food is left somewhere safe.]

[ after her talk with terry about shadows, rei comes out of the room with the cape still wrapped around her and heads to the kitchen to get a bottle of water. she (probably) feels better now but is just a little bit thirsty so she grabs the water bottle in the fridge. hmm, it smells funny and it tastes really weird?! but maybe it's just those flavoured waters that she kept seeing around town. a really bleh taste isn't going to stop her from drinking it. ]

[ ... well, thanks for the alcohol, terry, because now rei is walking back into the living room with her face fully flushed red and swaying a bit. hm. she just sits right back down but then she stares at the person next to her and touches their face. ]

Hehehe... your face is funny.

[ ... or you can also find rei after she stumbles around and trips on the cape but doesn't get up from the floor. instead, she just stays there and giggles a bit. lmfao help her. ]

[Unlike many people, Enkidu pretty much just sits there and allows her to caress their face. Also unlike many people, they allow it to mold beneath her touch. For a few seconds, she is actually moving their jawbone around until they use their newly returned ability to put it back in place.]

Do you like it? I can make it funnier.

[Without further prompting, Enkidu's hair becomes a mass of golden curls, and they change their face to be identical to Rei's.]
