1/11 training and breakfast

[ As last minute prep for the dungeon, everybody has been called to get together for a training session during midnight at Lockdown, with promise of a light breakfast at the clubhouse afterwards and the suggestion that people take it easy during the day before they split up into their respective teams and head to the castle and the mountains.

Training is largely done in the school shrine, on the second floor where there's wide empty space without the maze to account for, where you can practice tactics together, or take on the Minato challenge where he has Messiah blast you apart in half a second and then immediately heals you and asks if you want to go again.

Breakfast at the clubhouse is split between western and traditional styles, whether you crave fluffy pancakes, or are more of a miso soup and grilled fish on rice sort of person. If you want anything in particular for lunch, Kido is on lunch duty and promises to make whatever you want, so long as you go out to the store and bring the ingredients back.

Thanks to everybody's efforts so far during the month, whether it's interacting with the townspeople or talking with the mayor or donating gemstones to the mountain shrine, the effects can already be seen around town, with the townspeople less wary of the Persona users, allowing them to purchase what they want in the stores if they want to have their own supplies to take into the dungeon later.

[ She nods, but she doesn't seem very bothered by the idea that Terry can just learn whatever he needs to find out. She had a high level of trust in him and believes that he would never use his powers for the wrong reasons. ]

Mmhm, but he only does it if he needs to or when he asks.

[ Though she realizes that this may just be her experience. ]

I'll go talk to T-chan for you. I don't want anyone to be fighting or to hate each other.

[That hasn't been Jiro's experience with Terry's pinpointing at all.]

Yeah? It wasn't that way with me. He did it without asking, without even telling me he could, because he didn't like my answers. Then he threatened to do it again and take whatever he wanted from me at any time. Which he has been. Some of the information on his board in the clubhouse came from things the crows told me directly.

[He's telling Rei all this, because he believes Terry is the villain of this game and he'll kill everyone who isn't one of his followers in the end.]

Don't talk to him for me. He won't listen to you, and you might get on his bad side. Protect yourself, Rei.

[And with that, he walks away.]

[ If Jiro thinks that he can escape so easily by just walking away, he's sorely mistaken. Rei takes off behind him, running to his side rather than walking since she has short legs. She won't let him get away! ]

But I want to protect you too! If T-chan is being mean to you, I want him to stop. I should at least try something.

[He never should have mentioned this to anyone, let alone Rei. Jiro thinks she's probably 11 or 12 years old and easily impressionable.]

Don't.

[Hopefully, that's enough to get her to back off on the subject. Jiro doesn't want to tell her the truth as he knows it. That Terry would kill him over this. Maybe for talking to Rei at all.]

[ Does he think that this 11~12 y/o is just wearing a ring just for fun? ]

But why? T-chan won't hurt me or get mad if I talk to him.

[He doesn't know they got married. He was dying that day.]

I wouldn't bet on that.

[The extent of the familial relationship with Rei and Terry is something Jiro isn't aware of. He know she lives with him, but that's it.]

[ Everyone was having fun while Jiro was too busy dying, haha. Plus, the ring is pretty tiny on Rei's super tiny finger so it's probably very easy to miss. ]

It's true! He always keeps me safe and I even once slapped and punched him by accident and he didn't get mad at me at all.

[ Because the former was when she was having a meltdown, waking up in a hospital, the latter was when she was still in the hospital and it was a bonus effect...

[It would be really hard for anyone to dislike Rei, so Jiro will concede that point.]

Guess he likes you. You may be spared.

Mmhm, so I'll talk to him for you! You're really nice so it'd make me feel bad if someone is treating you in a mean way, especially if it's my big brother.

[ Terry would listen to his cute little sister! Or she'd just go :T!!! at him for an entire week. ]

[Well, fuck. Big brother. This is very bad.]

Why don't we just pretend this conversation never happened? You never saw me!

[He'll try to leave again.]

[ Rei is that really annoying dog who follows you everywhere. Jiro will have to literally kick her away if he wants to escape because she just comes following again. ]

Why are you leaving again?! What's wrong?!

Nothing's wrong.

[What will get her to go away?]

I gotta take a piss.

[Yeah.]

Okay, I'll wait for you to finish!

[ Bold of you to assume that'd work on her. ]

[cicadashell]

Sure.

[He looks for the closest place with enough privacy, and then he'll run from there.]

[ You may ignore this if it is too ridiculous or want to give Jiro some peace, but Rei would absolutely use Zhn to track him down. She made good use of Zhn's sense of smell to find Nero in the snow, so she'd do it for Jiro because he can't escape from her :T ]

[Oh my god. Her wolf is following him.]

What the fuck do you want from me!?

[There is no peace in Hirajiro.]

[ Zhn follows Jiro and Rei follows Zhn. There is no escape. ]

I want to know why you keep running away from me!!

[cicadashell]

Because if I keep talking to you about shit, Terry will kill me!

[Fuck. He said it. Jiro stops walking at that point, because there's nothing to run away from now.]

[ Well, that's not an answer that she was expecting, but she also didn't know what to expect. ]

Just for talking with me?

[cicadashell]

For telling you to be careful around him.

[Jiro has little doubt Terry would consider that an affront enough for death.]

[ Jiro really seems hung up on the idea that Terry is terrible and would just murder people. Rei doesn't think that at all, but if Jiro is really that uncomfortable then she needs to accept that instead of changing his mind. ]

Then I won't mention that part when I talk to him!

[He's still wary of Rei mentioning anything about him to Terry at all, but this is as good as he thinks it will get.]

Good.

[ She'll just have to stalk Jiro for a few days after she talks to Terry so nothing happens on her watch :T ]

Umm, asides from that, how have you been? Jail must have been really hard.

[cicadashell]

[Rei trying to creep around and keep watch, but being so obvious... Jiro just stares for a moment, not really knowing how to respond to that.]

I've... been fine?

[He had no problems with jail. This gathering of "training" and small talk and breakfast is harder.]

[ Yeah, that sounds about right. She'll get a trenchcoat, hat, and moustache while following Jiro around, hiding behind phone poles and trees. ]

Have you been eating properly? It's important to make sure that you eat.

[ When she went to jail for Toki, it seemed awful. There was hardly any food! ]
