[OPEN] cash money, make it rain

[ If you had stepped into Hirajiro any time in July and checked out its street full of bustling workers, chances are, you were probably given a pamphlet by girls in maid outfits with cat ears. nyan. It's a special promotion that will be held this week from July 15th to July 20th, where you'll be given a loyalty punch card for the first entree you order and you will be given one free entree after the third hole is punched for the duration of the event. There's also a kid's meal discount for 20% off! You can even get another punch card after you use up your first one. Wow.

The owner of the place is kinda odd though. During those six days, the first three days (15-17) will be full of maids only. The latter half (18-20) will have butlers only. After that, it looks like they would go back to normal with a mix of maids and butlers with cat ears. The owner definitely wanted to try something new to see how it would go. Also, if you have long hair, you need to tie it back somehow, no matter what. It's still a food industry, after all.

There's a problem though...

Terry was originally supposed to have the first three days off, since it was maids only. However, with the lethargy that had plagued Hirajiro as of late, he was "asked" to cover various shifts. In the end, he accepted it begrudgingly and told the owner that he would cover the absent coworkers' shifts for the first two days.

A mix of "I wouldn't look good in a dress", "This makeup will make it look like you are a completely different person. Give me that tape", "Why is tape used in makeup?! This wig is itchy", "This is your debut as Emily. Do your best, Emily" and yells of agony filled the room past the door that marks "employees only". ]

[ NOTE: There's a lunch menu and a dinner menu (there's no alcohol but you can also make something up as long as seems "reasonable") along with a list of services that the customer may request as a side bonus if they order 1 entree.

1. Shoulder massage (5 minutes)
2. Eating buddy (10 minutes, the server sits at the table with you and you can talk to them or whatever)
3. A short skit (the servers act out a dramatization purely for SFW fanservice)

Should they choose none of the above or didn't order 1 entree, the server will leave and come back with a cute, giant life-sized bear plush doll with a ribbon around its neck and place them on the opposite seat of the customer. The customer also has an option to buy it after they finish whatever they ordered for the equivalent of ~$25 in Hirajiro's currency.

The owner will be occasionally making rounds to see if his employees are being harassed, ask customers how is everything, and generally just overlooking the establishment. You're also free to have the skirt length range from a little above the knee or down to mid-calf if your character also works here.

[ while rei is checking out the restaurant, she manages to overhear a very important piece of information. she's just going to insert herself into the conversation that leon is having with some npc employee. ]

Is that true? You can eat for free if you work here?!

And here I thought I could eat the omelette rice for free... Have you ever tried the food here before?

[ her shoulders droop as well because :( she was really looking forward to eating here for free as well! that would have been perfect for her... but she looks up at leon and nods. ]

Mmhm. T-chan works here so I come to visit him and also eat. The food here is really delicious!

Heeh!! You can afford the food here?! It's so expensive, I don't have enough...

[ He pulls out the inner fabric of his pocket to show her that there's nothing ther-- uh well, there's some dry, crumpled tissue, whoops. That must've been left there from before he last washed this shorts. He just grins as he stuffs that back to his pocket, no trace of bashfulness in his face. ]

What's your name, by the way? I'm Leon! [ Forming L-shape with his fingers, he winks at Rei. (⁎˃ᴗ•⁎)L ♥｡･ﾟ ]

[ oh my god, he made a L-shape with his fingers... that's so cute... rei tries to do something with her name as well since, well, he showed her how to spell his name (at least the beginning part) so she needs to do the same! though... it's really hard to sign out kanji so she just uses a finger and writes her name (玲) in the air. ]

I'm Rei! Nice to meet you, Leon-kun!

[ wait until leon gets his own cute nickname like mo-chan. rei is going to give one to everyone that she cares about. anyway, she'll answer his earlier question now. ]

I can only afford the food here sometimes, but one time, T-chan did a magic spell and summon money for me! So that's why I was able to eat more that time.

[ Leon intensely stares at her finger when she does the air kanji writing, because that's the only way he'll be able to get it!! He's not the best at kanji, but let's see... oooohh!! His eyes brighten up when she finishes her signing. He knows that kanji! ]

[ Leon usually refers to his fans as "Tantan" and he calls them with "-tan" suffix. Though Rei isn't his fan, the sound of 'Rei-tan' somehow feels really cute to him, which suits her! ]

[ Ohhh!!! She called him Leon-tan!!! If Leon's not already beaming 100,000 volts, now he is. His grinning widely like an idiot, giggling to himself. No one around him (apart from his fans) would call him that (knowing he'll get ahead of himself), so that makes him so happy ♡

Now that his excitement is already peaking, Rei's suggestion just makes him gasp so hard he coughs. ]

What kind of shop is it?

[ Leon happily swings Rei's hand back and forth as they walk. Together, they're empowering the city of Hirajiro with their sunflower energy!! This is something unthinkable for him back home, but since he's here... wherever this is, he's free to do what he wants! He'll hold hands with whoever he wants!! ]

It's a curry rice shop!!

[ He tilts his head at Rei. ]

Rei-tan, do you prefer sweet curry more than spicy?

[ hirajiro has a blackout from a power shortage and both leon and rei are put in front of the generator. they power the entire town by just their smiles and energy. ]

Ummm, I like both! Sometimes, when I have so many different types of food to choose from and can't decide which one to eat first, I just mixed them all together!

[ it sometimes works out well but other times, it doesn't... ]

[ Leon's element is Electricity and his groupmate calls him Pikachu so that definitely works!! ]

Aha!! That's so smart, Rei-tan! Then... we can order two different menus and share ♡

[ He hums in consideration at the question. ]

That's hard... I like everything! But I can't handle anything too spicy...

[ The last time he tried, he can't pull his tongue back in. ]

[ Pointing at the yellow signboard, Leon excitedly rushes towards it, dragging Rei with him. ]

It looks a lot like the restaurant back home, and they have some really fun menu too! Look!

[ He'll open up the menu that's left outside the store so they can decide whether to go in or not, showing it to her. ] They also have seasonal menu... Mmm!! I can't decide.

[ leon can't handle anything spicy, you say... it sounds like they absolutely need to get the spiciest dish :9 ]

Ohhh! [ she leans over so she can take a look at the menu. there are so many options. just how could she choose?! ] Ummm, ummmm... I'll take everything on the seasonal menu!!

[ lmao that takes away her decision to choose. anyway, today is a special day since she's eating with a new friend so she can go ham on today's meal. it's fine, it's fine, she works like a mule at the school (but she doesn't mind it at all because she thinks it's actually very exciting). ]

[ Being an idol and all, Leon tried to keep his image, but that only lasted for five seconds because Rei smashed that with a hammer real quick. ]

Oh?! Then, we'll start with that and order more as we go!!!

[ His excitement goes over the roof as he rushes in to the store with a loud: ] Good afternoon!! Table for two, please!! [ The waitress leads them to a comfortable seat at the corner of the shop, smiling at the apparent enthusiasm. ] Oh, by the way, we have decided our order!! [ He begins, before they're even seated. ] We want all the dishes in seasonal menu!!

[ He turns to Rei and beams. ]

Right, Rei-tan?

[ rei just happily tags along to the corner of the store and, honestly, leon's energy is extremely contagious. rei was already pretty excited about trying out a new restaurant with her new friend, but her excitement is pushed to whole new levels. ]

Right, Leon-tan!

[ she has also lost her indoors voice because if leon doesn't have one, she doesn't either! she's easily influenced by others... ]

I wish I had more money... then I would have ordered everything on the seasonal menu twice. Do you think there'd be enough dishes for all of us?

[ she could absolutely eat everything on her own but since she knows that sharing is caring, she'll share everything with leon ]

[ The waitress meekly tells them to lower down their voice just a little because there are other customers, and seems really apologetic about it because she does enjoy their enthusiasm... ]

I'm sorry! We're just so excited...

[ He turns to Rei, gesturing so she can take the inner seat instead. More space for Rei-tan!! ]

It's okay!! That only means we should come here again when I get my pay, and it'll be on me next time!!

[ the waitress tells them to keep it down and yet, look at all these exclamation marks. ]

That sounds great! I look forward to it!!

[ there is no such thing as indoor voices with leon and rei. she will take the inner seat and scoot up as close as possible to the table so she can also get as close as possible to leon and yell in his face some more, laughs. ]

Where do you work?

[ What Leon and Rei consider as quiet isn't necessarily what everyone else think is 'quiet', but it's fine!! People will tolerate them because they're cute!! ]

I haven't found a job yet... sometimes I perform in the streets for a little change, but I think I want to find a proper one. Maybe I should hit up the maid cafe we went to earlier!

[ He has a feeling he'll be able to pull it off!! ]
