[ If you had stepped into Hirajiro any time in July and checked out its street full of bustling workers, chances are, you were probably given a pamphlet by girls in maid outfits with cat ears. nyan. It's a special promotion that will be held this week from July 15th to July 20th, where you'll be given a loyalty punch card for the first entree you order and you will be given one free entree after the third hole is punched for the duration of the event. There's also a kid's meal discount for 20% off! You can even get another punch card after you use up your first one. Wow.

The owner of the place is kinda odd though. During those six days, the first three days (15-17) will be full of maids only. The latter half (18-20) will have butlers only. After that, it looks like they would go back to normal with a mix of maids and butlers with cat ears. The owner definitely wanted to try something new to see how it would go. Also, if you have long hair, you need to tie it back somehow, no matter what. It's still a food industry, after all.

There's a problem though...

Terry was originally supposed to have the first three days off, since it was maids only. However, with the lethargy that had plagued Hirajiro as of late, he was "asked" to cover various shifts. In the end, he accepted it begrudgingly and told the owner that he would cover the absent coworkers' shifts for the first two days.

A mix of "I wouldn't look good in a dress", "This makeup will make it look like you are a completely different person. Give me that tape", "Why is tape used in makeup?! This wig is itchy", "This is your debut as Emily. Do your best, Emily" and yells of agony filled the room past the door that marks "employees only". ]

[ NOTE: There's a lunch menu and a dinner menu (there's no alcohol but you can also make something up as long as seems "reasonable") along with a list of services that the customer may request as a side bonus if they order 1 entree.

1. Shoulder massage (5 minutes)
2. Eating buddy (10 minutes, the server sits at the table with you and you can talk to them or whatever)
3. A short skit (the servers act out a dramatization purely for SFW fanservice)

Should they choose none of the above or didn't order 1 entree, the server will leave and come back with a cute, giant life-sized bear plush doll with a ribbon around its neck and place them on the opposite seat of the customer. The customer also has an option to buy it after they finish whatever they ordered for the equivalent of ~$25 in Hirajiro's currency.

The owner will be occasionally making rounds to see if his employees are being harassed, ask customers how is everything, and generally just overlooking the establishment. You're also free to have the skirt length range from a little above the knee or down to mid-calf if your character also works here.

[ Butler Terry is grabbed out of nowhere, and luckily the owner didn't see or he'd be coming down and scolding Leon for harassing the workers. He vaguely remembers him from when he was here as Emily and... honestly, he understands. He'd also want to eat the food here for free, but. ]

Sir, uh... We don't provide food for our workers, but we are shorthanded and would like it if you could give us a hand.

[ He knows that this is originally a cat ear maid/butler cafe, but when Leon just pulls out the nyan-nyan pose, he just. stares at him. How does this guy do this so shamelessly...? ]

How do you even do that...?

[ He puffs an air as his shoulders drop, showing his disappointment on full-scale. But the gears in his Kansai brain then starts turning, as he comes closer to Terry. ]

Is the pay good, though?!

[ He may not be smart, but if it's about money... $_$ Every person from Kansai region is born with business mind, after all. If it is, he can at least try the fluffy looking omelette one day... ]

Eh? This? [ He puts up both hands, and does the nyan nyan pose, tilting his head as he uses his puppy (kitten??) eyes and says: ] Nyan nyan~?

[ It's at that moment, Terry knew. He must have this guy work here. He has to! He will beg the owner for the love of god don't make him do the nyan-nyans anymore. Let this guy do it. Terry immediately puts both hands on Leon's shoulders. ]

The pay is awesome.

[ If it isn't good enough for this guy, by god. He swears on Hirajiro's acidic lake that he will make it happen. ]

[ Terry can only speak the truth all week, so at least he wasn't lying when the pay was awesome?! Anyway, he takes Leon to the owner and explains that Leon wants to work here. The owner gives him a look over and sits back down in his seat.

"Have you worked before? What are your talents?"

Terry looks over at Leon. Be a showoff! Do something cool! Anything!! ]

[ Leon is beaming with confidence. Be a showoff? Do something cool? Leave it to him! ]

Yes! My name is Leon! [ He poses with one hand forming the 'L' shape, winking. ] Back home, I work as an idol! I have four-octave vocal range and I dance really well! ...Here I go!

[ Without being prompted, he begins singing and dancing. He doesn't seem like he thinks, but he's actually mindful of the space limit, minimizing moves that requires bigger space. Every movement and note goes seamlessly, almost as if it's as easy as breathing for him. He'll end it after the first chorus, ending it with a pose. His eyes brighten up then, the more alluring atmosphere he was letting out a while ago mellows out to a cheerful, childlike energy. ]

[ Immediately: "You're hired."

Terry is shocked at how fast the acceptance was, but he really shouldn't be. This guy is an idol? And he doesn't seem like a small time one either by his song and dance abilities. Terry doesn't know much about the idol industry, but suddenly he has respect for Leon. Damn.

"If you can sing some love songs, you can quietly serenade to the customers as well if they choose the skit option. Nowell-kun. Please guide Leon-kun well." Terry gives a mock salute.

The owner tells Leon about his scheduling, training, basically all the stuff that he needs to do to work here. And if he does a good job, he can work here permanently with a raise. ]

You ready to go, Leon? You can call me Terry. We're gonna try handling your first customer.

[ The funniest thing about this, he does have a song called Starless Night Serenade... and it's an absolutely romantic love song. ]

[ One guy pressing his face against the window to appreciate stare at the sample menu is a sad sight. Two guys doing that is even worse, but it doesn't stop Hibiki. ]

I know, right? Did you see the maid handing out the tissues? [ What if it was Terry. What if. ] I bet they have great food and service. Do you want to go in?

[ The adorable staff guides them to their table and offers them a Special Greeting full of cat noises and other cute sounds. ]

[ This is the lie of the century. They've probably memorized the whole menu after all that gawking at the window. Only when she leaves, Hibiki leans in closer to whisper to his new buddy: ]

At the welcome greetings the cat girls showered them, Leon returns it with his very own nyan-nyan pose, giggling and beaming. ]
